Topic: Centipede Industries Hydrogen Peroxide -- Avoid like the plague
Wow...frankly I'm just not the chatty type but my recent experience with Centitipede industries just blew my mind.
Here's the story: The first week in Feb 06 I began looking for sources of food grade H2o2 for the purposes of raising medicinal mushrooms. Reishi, Shitake, Maitake and Lions Mane specifically. I contacted a place in Eden Prairie, Minnesota called Centipede Industries: http://www.centipedeindustries.com/35_percent2.html
Don't ever go here...just my 2 cents worth...here's my experience.
Called, made the order. Was told I was one days shipping away (200 miles), all well so far. 1 week later.....nothing. Ok, callled back....asked them what the hold up was, was told "shipping today". Guess what, nothing nada. Called 2 1/2 weeks later, was told I was "on the top of the list" and everthing was shipping "today". Asked for a tracking number. 3 weeks later, called to inquire about order and asked for the tracking number I was promised and never received. Here's where it gets a bit surreal.....
Got the head....ummmmm......"lady" this time. Told her I was a bit disappointed and inquired again about the tracking number. Was asked who promised me this and that this person would be reprimanded. Told her "who" and inquired again about the tracking number and the reason for the delay. Was then informed that I was not to "get short" with her and was properly dressed down for my impertinence....did I mention this was the supposed owner who just got back from Maui?
Needless to say at this point I FINALLY did get a "bit short" inquiring about the status and tracking number of my order whereupon I was informed that my order was "ripped up" and the "owner" hung up on me.
Avoid these people like the plague...spread the word. They don't deserve to own a business of any sort and I don't think I'd be out of bounds to question the integrity of their so called "food grade" hydrogen peroxide.
