Re: Announcement: NR Forum Closing on Feb 22nd, 2008

2/22/08.  Day before my birthday.  Strange.  Take it easy bhang.  I was just looking at your "Eris" thread for a long time.  I went through all the D. Wilcock videos also.  A mention was made of a Paulina Zelinski and a connection to discovering under-water cities with another lady who disclosed information about Navy Seals finding still functioning technology in these under-water ancient ruins.  The second lady wouldn't say much, she has a son in the military.  Enough said.  I used to run into Navy Seals alot, do they grow on tree's or something?  I don't know how I cope with the boredom of this existence.  I suppose I keep my attention away from the fact.  Oh well, the Sun is warm and the grass is green.

Re: Announcement: NR Forum Closing on Feb 22nd, 2008

I haven't written much since I became a member, I am more the quiet type. But I have truly enjoyed reading what many of you have written through the years. This place has helped me when things were looking bleak for me and I will miss it very much. 2008 does seem to have a strange feel to it, I find myself wanting to go to ground. Montalk though I have never to my knowledge met you I feel closer to you than I do to some of my family. You will always be in my thoughts and I know that will bring a smile to my face.

Re: Announcement: NR Forum Closing on Feb 22nd, 2008

I have such a nostalgic attachment to NR that it will be hard to let go even though I don't post much now.  Thanks for keeping it as long as you did.  Happy trails!

Re: Announcement: NR Forum Closing on Feb 22nd, 2008

Even though I hardly posted here, due to my not being nearly as knowledgeable as most of you, I will surely miss this place.  (I actually cried when I read the post Tom made about NR closing on 2/22...)  Even though most of you don't know me, I feel like I have come to know you guys (and gals) over the past year I've been here.

I don't know if any site will be able to fill NR's shoes, 'cuz they are some mighty big shoes to fill!  Noble Dreams might be able to, and I really hope it works out.  I have a really good feeling about it, especially with zenden being a member there!

Anyway, I decided to thank Tom personally by email.  Not only in the form of words, but also in the form of a donation.  If anyone deserves it, HE DOES.  I suggest that anyone who can afford it, to do the same.  Tom has given us TONS of extremely valuable information, all for FREE!  He even offers his book for free; I bought it, so the proceeds would go to him.

And here's a BIG thank you to everyone else who helped give me eyes to see with, and ears to hear with.  You all have helped me, and others, much more than you will ever realize.

In a way NR has been the "training wheels" on my "bicycle".  I'm a "big girl" now, so I guess it's time to learn how to ride the bike without the training wheels, as scary as that may sound.  Now that I think about it, I know that I will be o.k. no matter what, and I'll have plenty of help along the way, just like I always have; my guides and helpers haven't ever let me down before.

Re: Announcement: NR Forum Closing on Feb 22nd, 2008

Where can we donate to Thank Tom?

Re: Announcement: NR Forum Closing on Feb 22nd, 2008

Hi Paix, here is the url address for easy access:  https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr

But if that somehow doesn't work, first go to montalk.net , at the very top there is an "about" link to click on, it's right between "forum" and "bright".  Once you get to the "about" page, look to the far left, and click on "About this Website".  It's the last link to click on, on the far left, right under "About the Author".  Now, on the "About this Website" page you'll see an orange "Make A Donation" button, in right about the middle of the page.  Click it, and it will take you to the actual place where you can make a donation.  It's very important that you first put in a dollar amount, located at the top of the page, and then click the "Update Total" button.  If you don't, you will end up very confused, just like I did, lol.  The rest is pretty easy to follow, but if you have any more questions, feel free to email me. You'll find my email address on my profile page.

Re: Announcement: NR Forum Closing on Feb 22nd, 2008

Hey everyone, your thanks is thanks enough! I certainly wouldn't want anyone to feel obligated to donate anything. As far as I'm concerned, the time and energy invested in the forum has already been rewarded by the success of its mission. Therefore I am not requesting any donations. Having understood this, if you still feel sincerely compelled to contribute something privately, then I will gladly respect your decision.

Hey Tom, will you still update montalk.net from time to time?  I understand you're a busy man, with writing a book and other things, I was just wondering.  Also, when do you think your new book will be finished?  I loved the first one, and am very excited about reading your next one!

Well Montalk, it was nice to virtually "meet" you.

Although we never met, you contributed a lot to my own individual QUESTionning.

I hope to hear from you again somewhere sometime!

Re: Announcement: NR Forum Closing on Feb 22nd, 2008

...I'm relieved to know that the forum will remain as a library source, but I would be less than honest if I didn't admit that having this one-stop forum source was incredibly valuable. Ah, well, the overall feeling over the last while was a sense of 'time to look elsewhere, time to move on'.  When we all meet again, we can enjoy the warm happiness  that'll wash over us at the realization that "the team is back together".  Until then, See Ya!

Thanks DarkStar!  wink

Re: Announcement: NR Forum Closing on Feb 22nd, 2008

Thanks for Noble Realms Tom, I'm another one of those who never contributed too much, but I've had lots of good reads and other interesting things come out of my involvement/reading this forum.... I'll be sad to see it go, but I guess I respect your decision. Though it was quite surprising to me at first - I really had no concept of NR being a limited time project really.

Well, thanks for all thats been and good luck to all NR'ers and Tom in the future!
Really want to say something else but I haven't got the words... I essentially just wanna say bye and Godspeed to 1 and All wink!

Re: Announcement: NR Forum Closing on Feb 22nd, 2008

I'd happily donate whatever it costs to update the forum version so that you can search with quotes.  In fact, I'd donate $1000 to get that to happen.  What do you say?  Just give the word.

Re: Announcement: NR Forum Closing on Feb 22nd, 2008

Sunshine, I could never find a mod allowing that feature... until a couple hours ago. Turns out the mod is brand new, and so I installed it. Now there is a box you can check on the search page called "Search Exact Phrase." It works, although I don't think you can search both a phrase and a couple separate keywords at once like "they live" AND movie OR film. The next version of the forum software is still in beta and buggy but might allow that, and when that version goes final I will make the upgrade.

Also, yes my website will be updated from time to time. The next couple articles I have planned are so big that they might become books instead, thus the lack of new articles lately (although the Research Notes section gets updated more often).

Well, this is awesome and makes utilizing the amazing information that has been compiled on your forum much more manageable.

I've donated as a thanks and I really hope the site stays online.  When you said it would stay online, did you mean hosted on a server (with current look, but just no new posts) or in some other way?
