I agree Mencius. The following is not to refute your points which i think are all good, just a few more thoughts and some about humanity in general. Most people reading scriptural passages about God's anger would impute anger to God in a human emotional sense ...a vibration we are all familiar with. We would impute this human characteristic to an anthropomorphic God [a god made in the human image] because that is our own experience. Yet back when those scriptures were written down God spoke to the people [about their anger and other subjects] in terms they could understand. They were scattered warring tribes with little knowlege of universal truth. At that time the people imagined that an external God sent their calamities in response to their sins so God accomodated their understanding. By speaking of the consequences of sin and God's intolerance of it, [He was "angry"] it was an attempt to get people to temper their own transgressions toward each other . Even the bible shows that Divine Revelation is progressive and that the idols of false human concepts about ourselves, God and the universe are not shattered all at once. We have been brought to a more and more perfect understanding of ourselves and our God over time. Progressive revelation has brought us to this point in time where we understand very high spiritual concepts regarding the universe, a higher truth regarding our place in it and our divine identity. It has also brought many more people to communion with inner- spirit. Though it is taking time, the effort is bearing fruit and will more so as divine science and divine spirituality merge.
As i mentioned earlier, notwithstanding the false gods [astral beasts] who were angry, the spiritual God has spoken about 'His' anger in the first person because people believed their calamities came from God in response to their sins. While this is quite true in a sense, what we now know isn't true is that calamities happen as a result of a personally offended remote, angry God. One aspect of God reality that people keep bumping up against is God's law. We are dealing with the outworking of an impersonal law. It is the law which we "offend"... a karmic law originally set in motion as a framework for the increase and return of every good and perfect gift which we have to offer life. But we have turned the law into a harsh mistress.... an angry god who's face could only be seen in the 'enemy' of our fellow man and in nature's 'wrath' as retribution.
But the law is balanced ... Justice and Mercy. At times the hammer of justice hits the ground in 'divine retribution'. It is 'divine' because God allows it due to our own failures, mainly our failure to act from the heart with our fellow souls. Immense upheavals result from our own misuse of spiritual energy and when it does things are never quite the same again. But personal and planetary catastrophe never happens without divine attempts to appeal to the soul of humanity and to curb the excesses of the animal nature in man. These mercies are never forced upon us but are always offered to change our hearts and forstall what hierarchy sees as the consequences of our own recalcitrance and ignor-ance of the law. There's probably no- one among us who, in past ages when calamity has struck, hasn't shaken an angry fist at the sky and demanded... "Why?" Yet when people are told why by God's representatives or provoked by conscience they often turn a deaf ear and refuse to change. Browse a history book and see it repeat. With few exceptions we've all been there, that's why we're all here.
Spirit is invulnerable to any and all lower vibrations and is not expressive of anger in the human sense... although divine indignation is real and expressed in the "fury" of the invulnerability of the christic white light to all lower forces. The human vibration of anger is really a perversion of the God power within us. Human anger is not a shield and cannot protect us when dealing with angry, defiant, mocking entities, incarnate or discarnate. Only when clothed in the spiritual power of the "word" can we command lower forces. We can develop our inner christ spirit to such a degree that the "word" will be our shield and our sword in defense of life's divine purposes. For the majority of humanity the word has been judge and executioner for their misuse of sound and energy. Most of us share in that ancient drama. But that is about to change. The opportunity for the transmutation of self is what this "wave" is all about. The age of aquarius is an outpouring of the holy spirit that will transform consciousness and the planetary body. It must come through us in order for the golden age to appear... first within us and then in our world.
Certain finite cycles have been given for our soul's fulfillment of the divine plan. God's patience for the fulfillment of the divine plan is infinite but in order for us to participate in that plan [and because there is a finite timetable] God must show "impatience" by allowing our karmic returns according to that timetable. Otherwise our role could be ultimately aborted. God is tolerant but God must show "intolerance" of the human 'condition' or we might never change. God yields to our freewill but we must yield to God's Will and accept the karmic return of our own creations if we would rise in consciousness. Else we could get too comfortable in materialism and in the unending desire/ fulfillment loops of the consciousness of anti- christ within ourselves. Tremendous upheaval is avoidable if we will pay attention to it's causes and to those who speak of it.
Angry? God is willing and able to force choice and to break the mold of imperfection in human consciousness and in societies built upon it if we will not deconstruct it ourselves. I agree Mencius, and history has shown us that God is stern enough to let karma be our teacher if need be... that is if we will not heed the inner- spirit and God's messengers as teachers. The lash need only be as strong as our unwillingness to change 'up' into who we really are. "Spare the rod [of the karmic law] spoil the child".... but it doesn't have to be that way. We can come willingly to the feast accepting of our divine identity. By doing so we can in some measure mitigate the law of karma. Hierarchy understands the severity of the law and in council they make decisions in the peace of their own divine identity. They are not angry. Yet peace is not passive. They must sometimes allow the hammer of karma to fall but they are active in guiding us again out of the ashes of destruction to another opportunity... and another...
