Topic: Parasitic Vampirism
In my past-life regression studies, parasitic vampirism was often found to be related to some painful, unresolved past-life experience that continues to hound us in this life. Here are a few examples drawn from college students:
Deep insecurity and fear of abandonment were reactions to being an outcast and homeless in a past life.
Fear of enclosed places resulted from having been buried alive in a past life.
Fears of rats, spiders, and crawling insects were associated with imprisonment in an infested dungeon in a past life.
Fear of heights was associated with having fallen to one's own death in a past life.
Compulsive overeating was associated with a past-life of extreme hunger and stealing food to survive.
Stage fright and fear of crowds were reactions to death by public execution in a past life.
In a remarkable example of parasitic vampirism with threads of past-life origin, a 22-year-old student's fear of sunlight, along with the compulsion to wear dark shades even when indoors, was a reaction to past-life torture in which his eyelids were cut away and he was left to die in the desert with his arms bound behind his back.
From an article linked from Monty's website (http://www.llewellynjournal.com/article/513)
I wanted to bring it up because the above quote is very interesting in regards to phobias, obsessions, etc etc. Perhaps factors in our lives that we can blame on our past-selves! ![]()
What struck me on this is that when I was told of my past-life by this one woman I passed by in my life, I was given a pretty scum-like description of who I was at the time of my death or at least it gave me that feeling from the way she looked at me (she was really ugly to add to the look
)
To sum up what she told me:
At the time of my death, I was wandering the desert in exile. I must have been a scum-bag to be exiled! Or maybe I slept with the Sultan's 3rd wife or something. Anyways, to say the least it hurts the ego (good thing) to hear things that are not of the same calibre and degree of integrity as I presently hold, however it made me think about soul-purpose and that each soul must transition up the learning curve as being mercenaries, kings, whores, actors, etc etc. To note that many of us in our past-lives have been murderers and truly evil, disgusting people is a big thing to admit. I think it's very healthy to realize this because it may be illuminating for 'objectivity' purposes.
What "sucks" even more (or rather is very amusing) is that from the above, look at the fears of spiders, fear of heights, fear of inclosed spaces...etc etc, they all are rooted from different deaths or conditions of suffering that have remained attached to the soul as phobias or obsessions (over-eating = starvation of past life...Laura from the C-website said over-eating was because high-level souls enter into bodies and over-compensate due to lack of comfort with physical-existence...hmm, hog-wash?).
I have the fear of spiders...did I suffer in a dungeon infested with insects? I have a fear of heights (not to say I haven't made progress in over-coming these fears)...did I plunge myself off a bridge in a past life? Did I get pushed off? I would have rather been poisoned instead of being killed that way and getting a "tick/habit" like this in my next life.
Well anyways, I brought this up not to directly say that the author is "right on the money" but that it's interesting to wonder where such phobias arise from and to note that perhaps that some of us (I guess myself very much included) have some very dark dark dark past-lives with numerous types of deaths.
