Never heard of him but there are so many authors out there. Yeah it's fishy when they don't include the other half of creation in their work the dark. Not really balanced is it? People need to remember what it's all about not be given candy to make them feel special.

I think a lot of these guys are simply showing us the structure of the matrix/false reality just my opinion.

I read both of Newton's books, Journey of Souls and Destiny of Souls, and found them fascinating. I also enjoyed Kenneth Ring's books on near death experiences. Also notable is the lack of negative experiences in these reports.

Yup, definitely some interesting readings!

I think this really does explain what the afterlife is like. Emanuel Swedenborg went deeply into these worlds, and found that souls gravitate towards the "places" of the afterlife they resonate with.
Although some are inclined to believe that our Creator is parasitic, I then ask you this: If the Creator is wholly parasitic, what chance do you have of escaping the codings of an "evil God"? Given that there is a good measure of kind-hearted people throughout this world, there must be some force of good in the spiritual scheme of things that transcends this parasitic God. However, to believe that only the negative aspect exists is such an extreme form of pessimism that it makes me wonder how such people get through their day with such hopelessness.
It would truly take a brave yet foolish person to only believe in this.
I choose to acknowledge both aspects. Even if only this parasitic God does exist, it gives me hope that we were given some degree of choice, and this choice is what underlies our experience "here" and "there".

I did go several years ago to one of Michael Newton's trained therapists (at a grand price too) to see for myself.
I had already previously seen many of my past lives, and also experienced the "void" inbetween where I "chose" my next experience - so I went fully prepared for a ride into blissful voidness and to see more clearly that I was All That Is experiencing a physical existance. What actually happened when I was taken between lives was an eye opener and a bit of a shock. I'm not going to go into it right now, but it was not pleasant. I now believe that this was an implanted reality, to make me CHOOSE to believe that "they" have the purse strings on my energies, so it would be also misleading and neggy of me to offer up that "insight" as "real" in any case.
I'm just mentioning it because kindkind was asking about "the dark side" of it all. Certainly I can not be the only one who has had this type of experience, so like kindkind says, it is an omission in Newton's books. Plus, knowing about my previous "between lives" experiences, which were pleasant and enlightening, it is interesting that going to Newton's "trained therapist" produced this result. I wonder why that would be? To add to this, I had travelled quite some distance to be there in the back of beyond, with no transport and it was very cold. Despite having been assured in advance that I would be taken care of and could wait there at the clinic for the infrequent bus back, I was ignored and cast out and made to feel so uncomfortable afterward that I ended up outside in the freezing cold for hours after my experience, in spite of my having filled their coffers. So, that's my 2c, or should I say $400 worth!

Just curious, you mentioned your past experiences being pleasant and enlightening where you "chose" your next incarnation.  Was it a free will choice or were you conned a little?
