Topic: Internet radio shows.

I used to listen to Jeff Rense every night when it was free to download shows from the archives. But now his live stream is crackly and I can't afford to pay for the archives, so I can't listen to him anymore. You guys probably already know about Alex Jones, but here are a couple of other internet radio shows I've found that are pretty good:

Mysteries of the Mind
Feet to the Fire

The first one has a good host and topics, and offers free archive acess. The second one has a host that's a little loopy and sometimes features shady topics like Planet X and peak oil, but is still listenable.

Does anyone else have recommendations?

DemocracyNow is not bad (although on mainstream yet unbiased news topics).

I don't know, I just know he was on Alex Merklinger's "Mysteries of the Mind."  It was sometime in 2003, that's all I remember.

Re: Internet radio shows.

Maybe Tom has a copy of that show? That he could upload for download? I searched for Mysteries... archives, but no luck.

Re: Internet radio shows.

The show is archived somewhere around September 2003 on the Mysteries site. I don't have a copy myself. This was the third radio show I have been on, and compared to the first two it didn't go so well. I was invited the same day we were packing up the apartment in case Hurricane Isabel turned toward Florida...so amidst the stress and confusion I had less than a day to prepare for the radio show. And when I finally got on, a friend of mine who was supposed to co-host and ask all the questions (my condition for accepting the interview, as I work well with a structured interview) had to cancel at the last minute, leaving me to carry the entire program impromptu style. Well, after that experience, I decided to withhold doing another radio show until I have my stuff memorized inside out and can throw smooth lines like a stage performer, as that is what's needed to be competent on talk radio.

Acquiring fringe knowledge is like digging for diamonds in a mine field.

Re: Internet radio shows.

I tried the link to the asx file in the September archives but it said no.

Wow! I wish I could get the link to work. sad

Edit: I took one of the new links and plugged in the old file name and it worked. Try copying this URL into Windows Media Player or Media Player Classic:

Re: Internet radio shows.

A really awesome and powerful program today, October 22nd, on the Democracy Now news broadcast.  The video footage of the broadcast in particular shows some of the most moving documenting of the War with Iraq.

If you've got an hour this weekend, or have a family member or friend who might need a dose of reality about the war with Iraq, check out this streaming video.

Re: Internet radio shows.

Thank you. I listened to the Entropy and Sacrifice lecture last night and it was quite good. The speaker touches on a lot of fascinating ideas. I recommend it highly to anyone who is interested in beginer level Gnostic/Gurdjieffian cosmology.
