Re: What's the latest in Florida?

Hey all,

Glad you didn't get hit too hard by the hurricane Audenove.   I love that imagery of you and your cat looking at each other like that.  big_smile   Very cute.  Sounds like your cat is a smart one!

This hurricane was definitely a strange one, that's for sure, taking forever to move, just sitting and churning over the state of Florida....churn.....churn.....churn......I heard on the news that now everybody is fighting their way back south again into the state.  Glad it's not me.   The situation was unreal on the turnpike and the 75 when we were trying to get out.  I vowed I wouldn't go back and do it again in reverse.    The heat was unbearable.   To top it off, I had a little "situation" going on with my car.   It kept trying to overheat, so the temp gauge would crawl up to 3/4 before I'd pull off the road.  Either it was the fan, or, the fan was working but it just couldn't keep up with the heat.     It looked like a hopeless situation.  We'd only gone 40 miles when this happened, and we had just run into the traffic crunch, so we had miles and miles to go, hours and hours.   How was my car supposed to get through that when it keeps overheating???      My car was handicapped basically, and we had no choice but to somehow keep going forward.   There was no turning back.    What I ended up having to do was crank up my heater, pulling heat from the engine, and then switch it into Neutral every time we were idling.   Between Neutral, and the blasting heat, it allowed the car to go hours more at a time before getting too hot than it would have otherwise.     Problem was, I was sitting directly in the sun, and it was HOT.  And now I had to have the heat blasting at full strength in the car.  If I didn't, we couldn't have gone anywhere.   It was nuts.   I have never sweat so much in my life.   Burned my right foot from the heater too.   I literally drank over three 33 ounce bottles of Fiji water and a 24 oz. Ice tea, so, over 110 ounces of liquid, and didn't have to pee at all, not once, in over 12 hours, that's how much I sweat.   That's insanity.  I made a deal with my car though.  I told it that if it hung in there, I would too.  wink    And it did, it hung in there.

After 10 - 12 hours of people sitting in barely moving traffic people were getting crazy, acting like animals.   It got to the point where people didn't even want anybody switching over into their lane.   Keep in mind it's a 2 lane (outdated) highway.   Naturally people are going to switch lanes according to what's moving.   After 12 hours, people were just absolutely FRAZZLED.   I tried to switch lanes at one point and some guy hung out of his car cussing me up and down and inside out, every name in the book, screaming in a hoarse voice, just going beserk.   Total insanity by the end.   It was a maddening situation.    People didn't view the other cars as people in the same boat as them....they were just objects that were one more obstacle between them and freedom and the open road.   It was understandable.   I didn't get mad at crazy guy, I just tuned it out.

It was a little like the Rockford Files, like palulukon mentioned.   Luckily we were informed via radio of an alternate highway called the 441 which runs parallel to the 75 starting in Orlando.   Seems like NOBODY knew about this, as hardly anybody was using it.  It was our Godsend.   Newly paved, speeds of up to 60, no interference or impediements.   It got us out of the state.

Have to add that I did hear that August 2004 was a record month for storms forming.   They said that it was the most number of storms in one month since they first began keeping track of things something like 150 years ago.   At one point if you looked at the globe in August, there were 3 tropical storms, 2 hurricanes and a typhoon all happening at the same time.   And we have yet another hurricane, Ivan, whipping up in the Caribbean.  I do wonder if this has something to do with global warming, when you factor in the Southwest's heat wave and worst drought in 500 years.   Something may be amiss.

Yeah, me too.  We ended up getting at least 10 inches of rain on the coast right here and the county above.  My street did very well... it's not as good around the neighborhood coastward.  We went out to the store yesterday at 5 PM and there was a lot of standing water. A mobile home park was under water. Quite a few older buildings have minor/medium roof damage. A bunch of streets were closed, etc..  All the stores are out of milk, eggs, and bread (I didn't need these things, I wanted deoderant and a new jigsaw puzzle, got two big_smile).

In the greater western interior there are 3 rivers with flood levels of over 3-8 ft. cresting now, and two are set to crest tomorrow. Bummer!  I've been wondering how the Rainbow River and my oak tree friend made it through, they got hit much worse up there... everywhere got hit worse than here in my county.

For myself, and I'm almost embarrassed to write this, I had a SWEET set-up here, but only because the winds weren't stronger.  I have a 10 X 12 ft. screen enclosed patio, I was able to sit on the patio all day Sunday (light to read) and had my bed mattress in front of the sliding glass door the whole time. I got to sleep and rest with this constant cool, awesome breeze and occasional mist of water on me, that is when I slept. I noticed in the store yesterday that everybody looked really tired... some people had been without power for up to three days.  I was really, really lucky that way too, we were only without power for 24 hrs. I was fortunate through this in many ways.  I had my radio, my mate has a Sony Walkman TV, we had two coolers full of ice for cold stuff, the freezer amazingly kept most of the stuff frozen, except ice cream roll.  We played backgammon, Uno, my mate played guitar, I would meditate, float, and doze... talk about lazy, and all the fresh air!  It was like kicked-up camping.  I even had enough hot water Monday morning to take a warm shower! Very sweet!  Many jokes and laughs abounded here, we had a pretty fun time here.  I was never scared, but only because the winds only got to 60-70 mph.

Something vewee, vewee important I need to share with you all is... and FCOL! DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!:  If per chance you happen to eat a tin of sardines, wheat crackers, and drink two beers for dinner, DO NOT!  I repeat, DO NOT! force feed yourself a pint of $1 Cookie Dough Ice Cream just because you don't want it to go to waste... in these times of trouble it's a matter of waste or be wasted!  big_smile  Boy-oh-boy did I have a belly ache a few hours later!   ... I just thought you guys should be forewarned. Snicker! Snicker! Snort!

I'm very grateful for all the blessings of ease and safety I received the past weekend, all the way from Frances downgrading through to cool breezes. And a dry apartment.

I could launch into a few stories about just how smart she is, but that would be another page.  Really, it was a special moment.  HA! HA!  It wasn't but a few minutes after that another gust came on and she hightailed it, I found her in my closet.

The Iggys didn't like all of it too much.  Romeo is still staying to the bottom of his habitat and hasn't eaten much, not even bananas. I'm going to take him outside later so he can see that everything's okay now. wink

And lyra, the last thing on the internet I read before the power went out was your "road warrior" post... what a classic story!  I laughed so hard!

I can't believe they're projecting Ivan onto So. FL again, another cat. 4 hitting around Punta Gorda/Sarasota... kwap.

All I can say is, some kind of "magic" happened with Frances, can we do it again?  The collective that is... can our thought processes desist Ivan?  I believe so.

In retrospect I can laugh about it, but when we were in the middle of it, it was so frustrating.    These "vigalantes" who took it upon themselves to block the breakdown lane are the ultimate personification of the MCS in action.   Anybody want to see pawns of the MCS, look no further than this story.

First off, what kind of mindset does one have to have to take it upon themselves to "police" the roads, and tell others what they should and shouldn't be doing?    My personal opinion -- it's the same personality who would gladly sign up to tattle on their neighbors, coworkers, friends and family in the name of TIPS, "homeland security" and "terror protection."     Same mindset.   Brainwashed to believe that the system is good, that the laws and rules of the system are absolute, black and white, and should be followed at all costs, and that one should do their part to help the powers of authority.

Secondly, factor in that we were in an emergency evacuation situation and it was obvious that the outdated turnpike was ill-equipped to handle the volume of modern day traffic.  So in a situation like that, common sense would dictate.......use whatever lanes possible, and whatever means possible to get people moving.    And that break down lane that's just sitting there, empty, while tens of thousands of people are stuck should be opened up and used.    But no.   Not only were the State Troopers patrolling and issuing tickets, but there were those above mentioned pawns of the MCS doing their part.

When these "Vigalantes" saw somebody approaching in the breakdown lane they'd suddenly lurch over to get in the way, then just casually cruise along straddling both the right lane and the breakdown lane.   Or they'd position themselves facing diaganal, and just stop.   They weren't moving and neither was anybody else approachign in the breakdown lane.

In the end, I had a very aggressive, take no crap mindset, and was ready to start driving in the grass.   Get out of my way.   It became like a video game.   In video games you're driving along and you have obstacles jumping in your way that you have to sidestep.   Same thing as the "real" world.    It's all a game.   That became my mindset.    And it worked.

Should this country ever find itself in a more serious situation, something where things are on lockdown, roads are jammed, food supplies are low, maybe due to "terrorism", or whatever manufactured scenario TPTB invent, let this be a foreshadowing and lesson of how it will be.   This is what you can expect of people.   Most people won't act like this.  But do realize that, like in a video game, you WILL have your vigalantes and your pawns of the MCS working on behalf of the MCS to do their best to get in your way and prevent you from getting to where you need to be and doing what you need to do to survive.

Re: What's the latest in Florida?

Of course there is another avenue of possibility.  Liken it to the Indians who were skilled at shapeshifting.  I once recall when I was walking the streets of Tampa and had been playing with energy constructs.   Feeling very connected that particular day.  Decided to see if I could create being invisible…and it worked.  I was walking among people and no one even saw me…then I decided to become visible…to see if it was really working like it appeared…the fellow I was walking next too jumped when I gave the visible command…as if I suddenly appeared to him…played with it off and on all afternoon…

We can look to devices to help us maneuver the maze or play with using the invisible tool.  I have friends who have also played with such and have some pretty amazing stories of their successes.

It's all mind over matter. If you don't mind it doesn't matter...

I'm sure being invisible in the break down lane would actually put one in a more dangerous situation than if they were visible.   When people can't see you or your 2,000 pound car barrelling straight down the breakdown lane and then they just happen to pull out in front of said oncoming vehicle......bad situation.   Not a good idea.   I'd rather be visible and "look to devices to help".   Although the concept of invisibility has always interested me and has been something I've wished on numerous occasions to be able to do.    I first came across the concept in some book called "The Urban Witch's Handbook".   Came across that at a New Age shop, and saw there was a spell in that book for "Invisibility".   The book claims that you can literally fade out and blend in with the background, and go unnoticed to others around you.    Came across mention of it again in "The Celestine Prophecy", I believe chapter 9.   The characters use invisibility to help them when trying to get away from the Peruvian police or something.  They had to raise their frequency beyond fear and basically move up to another realm that was not visible to this one.  But as soon as one started becoming scared and their frequency lowered.....poof, they became visible again to this realm.

This would be an interesting thread actually.....experiments in invisibility.   Seems like it's something that those of the Shaman Persuasion could pull off.   So how easy / difficult is it for the rest of us regular folks?   Would be fun to find out!

Re: What's the latest in Florida?

I don't know if the rest of you have seen the videos or pictures of the aftermath of Ivan in the FL panhandle and the Alabama coast, but the destruction is horrendous!  They showed one coastal house where at least 6-7 ft. of the sand that was underneath the house was GONE!  Ivan totally wiped out the beach... I think it was Pensacola, FL where they were showing the beach sands simply no longer there.  They also showed a man and his sons walking the coastline looking for two of their three boats that couldn't be found.  One boat, another incident, was deposited 200 yds from the shoreline.  Freaking amazing.

It's been a rough and tumble hurricane season in FL this summer.=(

Re: What's the latest in Florida?

Based on information I have come across -- on this site, Rense, and others, I am convinced that "they" are continuing to cover-up the real devastation and death toll resulting from these "never-ending" hurricanes.

I am also leaning toward the idea that "TPTB" are manipulating these storms, if not helping to create them outright.

We all know by now that the mainstream media is not to be trusted at all in reporting the truth...about ANYTHING.

My gut feeling is that they're (FEMA) helping to create situations of mass chaos and destruction so they can see what they can get away with in withholding the truth from the rest of the population via their media lapdogs, and to help clear people out of areas they want to reclaim for some reason or other...a sort of "preparation" for the mass chaos they plan on a broad scale in the near future.

I am reading these accounts about Hurricane Andrew -- and now Charlie -- from survivors.  If they were doing a massive cover-up regarding "Andrew" then, most certainly they are continuing to do the same thing now, in my opinion.

I've cut and pasted this article below regarding a survivor's account of "Andrew," by the same author who was referenced earlier in this forum about "Charlie" and Michael Edward's account about that.

There's a more harrowing and detailed account by this same survivor (k.t. Frankovich) on:

Survivor Says 10,000 people died in Andrew. Is Charley Another Cover-up?

by Jeeni Criscenzo

According to kt Frankovich, the extent of death and devastation from Hurricane Charley is being covered-up, and she’s speaking from experience. The award-winning filmmaker is a survivor of one of the worst natural disasters to hit the United States – Hurricane Andrew.

Frankovich wasn’t one of the survivors shown by the media who had been on the outer edges of Andrew’s wrath – she and her son were smack in the middle of the devastation. We haven’t heard about those people who managed to survive Andrew’s full wrath because their story has been re-written by the US Government and the media. And because the areas devastated by Andrew were inhabited by a large number of migrant farm workers.

The inevitable situation created by the cover-up is that survivors cannot speak the truth because the world does not believe them,“? writes Frankovich in “Where Heavens Meet.“? Unlike survivors of other tragedies, Andrew’s victims have never been able to recover emotionally because they’ve been denied the therapeutic benefit of sharing their story.

In the days and hours leading up to Andrew’s landfall, the National Hurricane Bureau had predicted that the monster storm would strike well north of the South Dade pre-fab apartments where Frankovich lived with her son. Incredibly, the US Government evacuated all of the military families living in Homestead Air Force Base but none of the civilian residents were ever advised to leave.

When Andrew struck in the early morning hours of August 24th, it missed the evacuated beaches entirely. Instead, it came across Biscayne Bay, slamming South Dade communities with 214+ mph winds which escalated to 350+ mph. This monstrous category 5 hurricane hammered South Dade for six and a half hours, destroying 8,000+ mobile homes, 9,000+ apartments, and severely damaging the Turkey Point Nuclear Power Facility. Hurricane Andrew actually strengthened when it hit land, a fact that the National Hurricane Bureau finally admitted some ten years later.

In the horrible days following Andrew’s deadly appearance, Frankovich was one of only 12 battered and stunned people from her surrounding community who was still alive. They were trapped in a roped-off, restricted area, guarded by armed military. Injured and traumatized, they waited for two hellish weeks for help to come, surviving by banding together through nights without shelter from mosquitoes and thunderstorms and days of unbearable heat. They competed with animals escaped from the ravaged Metrozoo for any food that could be found in the debris and contaminated water.

While Americans were sending truckloads of clothes and food for the hurricane victims, there were no rescue crews, no emergency supplies, no medical care and no emergency shelter in the areas hardest hit for almost two weeks. The donated food rotted on trucks and when clothing was finally delivered, it was dumped on the muddy ground where it quickly became mildewed.

Officials drove through to pick up bodies and body parts that were loaded onto refrigerated trucks or helicopters. Shortly afterward, the sickening stench of burning flesh came from the Metrozoo, where bodies were being burned continually for five days. Frankovich says that bodies were also shipped to the Card Sound Navy base, just above the Keys.

By the second day, Frankovich and her fellow survivors broke out in skin sores, and suffered from headaches, diarrhea and vomiting. Unbeknownst to them, only seven miles away, a four hundred foot smokestack on the Turkey Point Nuclear Plant had been damaged beyond repair by the hurricane. It had a 200 foot gaping hole. The plant was shut down for several months and cost of repairs exceeded 90 million. But the damage lives on.

Frankovich says the children of survivors of Hurricane Andrew were recently asked to bring in their baby teeth when they fell out for what was called the “Tooth Fairy Study.“? It was found that these children had radiation levels seven times higher than what is considered safe.

Frankovich lived directly behind the Metrozoo. While the zoo reported that only a few animals died, in reality 95% of them died in the storm. Rhesus monkeys and big apes wandered around the rubble with Frankovich and her fellow survivors. Only later did she learn that the animals were infected with AIDS virus. It turns out that the University of Miami ran a research center on the back property of Metrozoo that no one was supposed to know about.

The Coast Guard Station was next door to the complex where Frankovich lived. A woman whose husband worked for the Coast Guard told Frankovich that the Coast Guard pulled 1,500 bodies out of the water. She said that everyone who worked on the body pick-up had to take an oath of secrecy not to discuss what they saw or did in the first ten days. When Frankovich spoke to a group in Clearwater about Hurricane Andrew, a man from the audience stood up and said that he was called up to active duty for nine weeks to help with the clean up. “The death figures the media is giving are totally inaccurate.“? He said. The information I received is that 5,280 bodies were disposed of in incinerators.

There are some uncanny parallels between Hurricane Andrew in 1992 and Hurricane Charley in 2004. George Bush Sr. was president when Andrew struck, and Democrat Bill Clinton was running for President. When Charley struck, George Bush Jr. was president and Democratic John Kerry is running for President. For two days Tampa Bay was being evacuated for Charley, but it struck Punta Gorda where virtually no one was evacuated.

Hurricane Andrew had barely left Florida, heading for Louisiana when the Division of Tourism placed a $47,000 ad in USA Today saying, “Florida, We’re still open.“? The day after Charley pounded Punta Gorda, an ad for Disney World said pretty much the same thing.

Are survivors being left to die in Punta Gorda this time? Tomorrow I will continue coverage of the truth about Charley as told to me by Punta Gorda resident, Michael Edward.

Re: What's the latest in Florida?

Well, your'e on to something there. Combine weather manipulation, emergencies, police state tactics: what's to stop them from doing this? Add to this a timeline manipulation to make sure storms come one on top of the the other, etc. Wow.

Message from Matthew - September 6, 2004

By Matthew Ward via Suzanne Ward <www.matthewbooks.com>
http://educate-yourself.org/mw/message06sep04.shtml
September 6, 2004

Suzanne: Can you give me more insight into the two hurricanes that have devastated Florida and the one on its way?

MATTHEW: You are wondering if these hurricanes are being deliberately formed and directed by the dark forces, and the answer is not simply a "yes" or "no." But as for that forces’ involvement, absolutely! Weather and climate patterns have been influenced adversely by the peak of darkness as one of its many avenues to achieve fear, death and destruction on Earth.

As for the storms themselves, though, it isn’t necessary that the dark forces be at the helm of their formation–that pattern was devised by Earth herself to systematically relieve accumulating negativity.

However, knowing that these kinds of storms also produce negativity for Earth to deal with, the dark forces have prodded their planetary puppets to pollute your planet with negative energy attachments that Earth relieves by "natural disasters." She must dispel those attachments so she can ascend into the higher frequencies of fourth density.

You have been told that the dark forces are behind oppressive regimes, wars, diseases, divisive religions, terrorism and anything else that creates fear, which is the most magnified of negative emotions. So you can see how well the anticipation and aftermath of violent storms fit into this strategy. Since the necessity for Earth to release negativity by geophysical means also causes more of it for her to deal with, it’s an ideal tool for the dark forces to employ.

Mother, please insert my comments to you about Frances in response to a writer’s question about its cause:

There are many elements: Natural–the need for Earth to be relieved of the built-up negativity, a part of planetary cleansing. Manmade–weather control technology that is in conflict with Mother Nature's efforts. Extraterrestrial–ET technology to ameliorate manmade directional efforts and wind velocity. Spiritual–the positive effects of collective prayers for the people in the path of the storm.

If Mother Nature’s efforts were left alone–that is, no manmade technology involved–with the healing energy of prayers, there would be less intensity in the truly natural disasters, yet with greater release of negativity through the "leveling-out" effects of ET technology.

Thank you. I wish to add to that summary, which pertains to almost all geophysical happenings in the past half century or so, that even with the interjection of manmade technology, no longer is the objective of the darkness being met to the intense extent it desires. The power of prayer–the collective healing energy expanding throughout the planet–and the ET technology that is far superior to your manmade technology, are diminishing the intensity of what otherwise would be much more catastrophic damage, yet achieving greater planetary cleansing results.

S: Some reports, purportedly "eye-witness," claim that many more deaths occurred during hurricane Charley than were officially reported. Do your colleagues in Nirvana know if this is true?

MATTHEW: They do, and so do I. Mother, I am in Nirvana. I came for a special conference relating to the recent embracing of the light by some of the "recalcitrant ones" and I am vacationing to some extent, as Ithaca is here as well and we are enjoying immensely our family reunion with Esmeralda and others especially dear to us. So I have been observing clearly from this vantage point and I can tell you, the death toll is far higher than officially recognized.

S: Why is there such a difference between the official and actual statistics?

MATTHEW: There are several reasons. The state and national agencies tasked with assessing the need for monetary and humanitarian aid are in total disarray. FEMA [Federal Emergency Management Agency] never was designed for actual assistance in emergencies like this, but rather for management of people considered dissidents by your government, thus their untrained personnel are a hindrance rather than a help. Then there are the insurance investigators with their specific interests and the local government departments that are ill prepared to deal with this magnitude of damage and whose efforts are more curtailed than aided by the managers at state and national levels. Coordination among these various groups has been spotty at best, and in addition to the inefficiency arising from such confusion amidst highly emotional conditions, the most effective workers are absent. The Reserve and Guard forces that would have been on hand with more experience and manpower have been deployed elsewhere, from combat in Iraq to guarding areas proclaimed as vulnerable to terrorism attempts.

Those contributing "innocent" factors, so to speak, are not the primary reason for the low official death count, however. A government that claims the world is safer because of its "war on global terrorism" cannot be perceived as being befuddled and ineffectual in handling the aftermath of a hurricane. While it cannot be held accountable for the property damage wrought by a "natural disaster," it simply cannot have the number of dead leap from 20-something into the 100s. Once the disparity between the official and the actual figures became so great, the embarrassment of announcing accurate statistics became a political liability, particularly less than three months prior to the presidential election. The correct statistics may not be properly recorded, much less publicly released.

S: I see. I’m assuming–but with good reason–that ET assistance was given during Charley and not only Frances.

MATTHEW: Indeed! Although Charley started as Mother Earth’s self-restoration effort to rid herself of the negativity that has been teeming in that state of Florida, manmade controls were entered to influence the storm’s movement and intensity. "Hurricane season" has been greeted as an opportunity to declare a state of emergency in Florida with the aim of removing the reemerging focus on the rampant fraud in the last presidential election and in some minds, justifying any irregularities that may be uncovered after the forthcoming election.

And yes, your space family gave enormous assistance during Charley. They not only ameliorated the forcefulness of the winds by reducing velocity, they counteracted a considerable amount of manmade directional influence. As devastating as the storm was, it could have produced far wider destruction. ET technology deflected the storm’s manmade course, which was a more direct southerly approach up through the Keys, where it would not lose much of its intensity before reaching the highly populated land area. If Mother Earth in conjunction with her ET helpers had been left alone, the destruction would have been much less–the human technology kept creating wildness that could only be softened, not reduced across the board once set in motion....

Re: What's the latest in Florida?

Thanks for reposting that, Lakme, the Matthew Ward channeling regarding hurricanes was very interesting and what he said makes sense to me.

Just for the record, over the past week I've had three dreams already about a hurricane hitting Florida again...two of my hurricane dreams involved the word "whopper" in describing the storm. I thought it might be symbolic or just a subconscious throwback to my having to outrun Hurricane Frances, but I'm getting the impression perhaps the dream is more literal and concerns something coming up, though nothing I can do about it from here. Anyone else with hurricane dreams recently? Maybe it's nothing, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

Acquiring fringe knowledge is like digging for diamonds in a mine field.

Re: What's the latest in Florida?

A close friend had a dream last night about another hurricane hitting FL.  And hard.  Also in the dream was inference for 'repercussions for not taking more action during the elections'.  We should have done more, in other words, to not accept the decision made by the judicial branch of government to put in the executive branch without a clear vote.

Whatever the cause, it's a relentless year for florida.

Very interesting........I'm just wondering why now, if it's punishment.   The elections happened 4 years ago, and why not right after the elections, in 2001, '02 or '03?   When it would still be fresh in people's minds, and they'd be more likely to make the connection?    Also, who's punishment is it?    Don't get me wrong though....I definitely feel something fishy is up with this hurricane season, with Florida getting whomped by Bonnie, Charley, Frances, and the impending Jeanne, as well as getting side-swiped by Alex which caused massive T-storms, rain and localized flooding in southeast Florida......AND all those crazy T-storms and massive lightening strikes that central Florida was experiencing back in early July.    It was all over Rense.com, with weather stations reporting a high of 55,000 lightening strikes in one DAY......I do wonder though........why now?   What does it mean?

Oh yes, and thanks as well to Lakme for posting the Matthew material.   Seems very accurate, very detailed.

Re: What's the latest in Florida?

Well, here's the latest story on Yahoo, regarding Jeanne:

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=s … p;ncid=716

On a sidenote, it's rather amazing that 2 category 2 hurricanes are hitting the same area within 3 weeks.   Jeanne seems smaller and less powerful than Frances, however....my thought on this was that Frances served to "soften the area up" -  ie, saturate the ground and fill the canals with flooding, create debris and wreckage everywhere, make the entire area vulnerable in general, so that even if a slightly smaller hurricane blows through, like  Jeanne, everybody will be screwed.    In this Yahoo article you'll see how they're talking about all the leftover Frances debris that's still everywhere, piles of it.   Condos that are still washed out and unhabitable.   Canals that are still flooded.   They're in a very vulnerable position.    And guess what....here comes Jeanne.

It's just so freaky looking at the satellite image and seeing it right off the coast, in the same exact location....damn!

SIDENOTE:   As I was in the process of copying the above link, the image of the hurricane disappeared -- in front of my eyes ---  off the map.   I don't know if it'll be there when you click on the link later, but I just thought I'd mention this.   I swear to God it was there as I was copying the link, and I watched it disappear in front of my eyes right off the map.  One second there....the next, poof!  gone.   Glitch in the Matrix!  smile

Thousands in Fla. Urged to Flee Hurricane

FORT PIERCE, Fla. - About three-quarters of a million residents of Florida's east coast were urged to evacuate – again – as Hurricane Jeanne churned westward Friday and threatened the state with its fourth pounding in six weeks.

The 100-mph storm could come ashore somewhere on the state's east coast by Sunday, targeting some of the same areas hit by previous storms and potentially turning piles of still-uncleared debris into deadly missiles.

"I'm not staying in this bunch of junk," 76-year-old Ed Oglesby said as he patched his torn roof in a Hutchinson Island mobile home park still littered with twisted metal and insulation from homes wrecked by Hurricane Frances.

A single state hasn't been hit by four hurricanes in a single season since Texas in 1886. Jeanne could continue a devastating run that has thrashed Florida's Panhandle (Ivan), southwest coast (Charley) and the state's midsection (Frances). Together, they have caused billions of dollars of damage and at least 70 deaths in the state.

"I know people are frustrated, they're tired of all this," Gov. Jeb Bush said. "Trust me, their governor is as well."

Crews with bulldozers worked Friday to clear the mess of flattened homes, torn roofs and snapped trees left over when Frances tore through the heart of the state earlier this month. But many acknowledged it was a losing battle.

"With another hurricane, there's just too much there – we just don't have the manpower to get it all done," said Martin County spokesman Greg Sowell, who estimated nearly 80 percent of debris remained from Frances. He said some streets had debris piled 5 feet to 6 feet high.

Pam Custis shed tears Friday as she looked at a heap of smashed furniture and flooded carpets in front of her Fort Pierce condominium, which has been stripped to a skeleton of concrete floors and metal frames. The debris pile was as tall as she is.

"This is all we have left," she said of her condo's shell. "When this other hurricane comes, this pile is going to be knocking down the rest of it."

Eight counties along about 300 miles of coastline issued evacuation orders for residents on barrier islands, low-lying areas and mobile homes. That includes more than 750,000 people.

But with almost the entire state in Jeanne's danger zone and a hurricane warning stretching from Miami-Dade County in the south to St. Augustine in the north, some questioned whether there was any safe place to run.

"I ain't going anywhere unless they make me," retiree Larry Ruby said as he patched the roof of his Hutchinson Island mobile home. "I don't think you can get away from it."

Jeanne, already blamed for at least 1,100 flooding deaths in Haiti, looked earlier this week like it had turned north and safely out to sea, but it whipped around in a loop and headed straight for Florida.

At 8 p.m., Jeanne was centered about 355 miles east of the southeast Florida coast and moving west at 12 mph. Forecasters said it could strengthen as it reaches warmer waters closer to Florida's coast.

An eventual turn to the northwest was predicted, but it was unclear when that would happen, and some models show the storm strafing the East Coast all the way up to North Carolina by Tuesday.

Rainfall totals of 5 to 10 inches were expected in the storm's path and flooding could be a major concern because previous hurricanes have already saturated many canals, rivers and lakes.

The timing of the storm raised concern for Jews observing Yom Kippur. The holiest day on the Jewish calendar begins at sundown Friday and ends sundown Saturday. During that period, observant Jews usually do not work or carry cash and many do not travel by car, all of which could hamper their hurricane preparations.

The National Hurricane Center (news - web sites) advisory even asked people to consider that Jewish neighbors may not be listening to radios or watching television and may be unaware of the situation.

"I don't know if I will evacuate or not," physician Armand Braun said as he stocked up supplies at a grocery store in Satellite Beach. "Jewish law says you put Jewish requirements aside if there is any danger."

Taking nothing for granted, residents up and down Florida's Atlantic coast went about what has become an all-too-familiar ritual.

In Broward County, lines of cars spilled onto streets outside gas stations as people, remembering gas shortages from Frances, filled up their tanks. Kennedy Space Center (news - web sites), still trying to repair damage to a massive assembly building caused by Frances, was ordered closed Friday to all nonessential personnel.....

Very interesting........I'm just wondering why now, if it's punishment.

Well, I'm not sure.  I would gander it could be related to the current election cycle.  More like a reminder than a punishment.

On a similar note, and also mentioned by you Lyra, maybe the powers that be are using technology to move masses of people around -- via the weather.  Not sure if it has something to do with affecting the political swing of things.

Overall, it's clear there is a general trend of increasing storms, floods, temperature changes, and melting ice caps.  What's it spell?  Get to higher ground.  wink

Re: What's the latest in Florida?

Here's a new article by Richard Hoagland called "Hyperdimensional Hurricanes?" http://www.enterprisemission.com/hurricane1.htm

He discusses Hurricane Isabel and the strange pentagon shape that appeared in its eye, and how this relates to Ivan and Jeanne. Hoagland says this is proof of his hyperdimensional physics theory.  According to the article, the pentagon appeared due to a cymatic effect when energy bounced back and forth between our dimension and the higher one, thereby creating standing waves in an ordered geometry. I think that's possible because tornadoes are known to give off both infrasound waves and radio/microwaves, so who knows what hurricanes can emit...

Acquiring fringe knowledge is like digging for diamonds in a mine field.
