Re: New "24" Season Showcases Mass Terror, Concentration Camps
Wow, Blue! What a nice little Program Eraser post you made!
I'm gonna have to print that one for perusal when I've got more attention

A.K.A:
Once you are aware of the potential downfalls of a given predatory energy, you are beyond its reach. Trusting in yourself and your ability to remain centered and above the fray is a step toward freedom. Continued avoidance of potential predators out of fear of their potential effect on you is a vote against the self and the self's inherent higher awareness. It is believing in one's smallness rather than claiming one's sovereignty and divinity.

Allright...allright...I get the point. Perhaps my punitive approach to said 'entertainment' isn't for everyone. It certainly was a caustic post and unwarranted. I'm still shedding old layers of my old self and when frustration sets in this seems to still occur. I promised myself to remain a pupil here on NR. I have a lot of catching up to do.

Mate you're doing good!
We are all here in the same boat together...
Allright...allright...I get the point.
Neo: What are you trying to tell me, that I can dodge bullets (propaganda)?
Morpheus: When you are ready, you won’t have to.

Thanks Marcus and Z , I realize that any transition is a process. I feel compelled to post and express myself here, but for now reading and understanding will serve NR and myself better. This site has become vitally important to me. I view it as a vast ocean, one I wish to be fully emersed in. One day I'll swim in the beauty of it's depths.

Welcome to the ocean. Come on in, the water's great! ![]()
Sutherland's conscience has kicked in a bit late.
HOLLYWOOD - 24 star Kiefer Sutherland has accepted an invitation from the U.S. military to teach army cadets it is wrong to torture prisoners.
Sutherland, who plays agent Jack Bauer on the show, has agreed to talk to cadets at the West Point military academy in New York state after army chiefs claimed the show's torture scenes are influencing its newest recruits.
Earlier this month, Brigadier General Patrick Finnegan visited the set of 24 to urge its makers to cut down on torture scenes.
He told the show's producers, "I'd like them to stop. They should do a show where torture backfires. The kids see it and say, 'If torture is wrong, what about 24?'
"The disturbing thing is that although torture may cause Jack Bauer some angst, it is always the patriotic thing to do."
It's really appalling that so many people can't distinguish between fantasy and reality. Jack Bauer, fictional character, shouldn't be setting moral standards for the viewers. ![]()
