SCI-FI PREMIERE: SHAPESHIFTER

Inmates and guards alike fall prey to a demonic beast stalking a maximum-security prison.

In the movie, the thing eats people and it is explained by the characters that the shapeshifter needs the other peoples blood to be able to shapeshift into human form. And it is also explained how the shapeshifters came from far away and use their human forms to manipulate our world as they see fit.

Re: Aliens in the Media

This is nothing else than David Icke's thesis inspired sci-fi!
People like the chill o' thrill o' paranoia that goes with the idea of shapeshifting reptilian aliens eating us alive. Scary... Considering that almost all medias are illuminati property, it becomes evident whom agenda does this sci-fi movie serves: fear, fear, more fear, and maybe thrills if you like playing with paranoid ideas.

But don't misunderstand me, I know about reptilian beings. There not cartoon-like caracters like David Icke described them.

Re: Aliens in the Media

Very appropriate for the Aliens in the Media thread!

A Budweiser commercial, no less.

Re: Aliens in the Media

lol that commercial was funny.

I have a contribution to this. If anyone has heard of the restuarant Tijuana Flats. The local one here, well all of them will always have paintings of reptiles on the walls in humanoid type forms. Well I never really thought of it too deeply until I went to the one where I live now, I walk inside, the place gives off a hippie bright multicolored lights everywhere and there's a UFO ship on the ceiling about 7 feet long. The painting on the wall at this one shows a moon like planet with UFO's and then military looking war planes all flying around. And the banner says "Welcome to our world". Pretty interesting.... I should take some pictures to show you guys. But all of these places are based on a hippyish reptilian atmosphere, good food though I have to admit.

Hippies and UFO's were never linked together in my mind, but it must have been for the owners of this place.  Makes you wonder what kind of scary-ass childhood THEY had?!

Re: Aliens in the Media

Hippies of the sixties thought that benevolent aliens were coming in peace to take the hippies with them in their own hippy version of the great (christian and/or ufologist) Rapture event. Hippies don't like elite or wars like Operation Irak Liberation (OIL), not do they like reptilian dinosaur-forms coming out of the underground in 'bad vibes' geographical locations. Hippies can sense these places because it gives them bad LSD trips and they tend to become paranoid in those places.

Just joking and talking for nothing again. I am a hippy in my soul, except that I ain't no dopehead beatnik.

Re: Aliens in the Media

The last three children’s movies that I have seen (all released within the past year or so) all referenced aliens.  And this is not including "Chicken Little"  which is explicitly about alien contact.

The movies are: Open Season, The Ant Bully, and Happy Feet.

Of these three, Happy Feet went furthest into it as a plot point.  One bird explicitly talks about how he was abducted by aliens and tagged. He tells a detailed story – it is not just a passing reference.

Numerous times, the humans are referred to as aliens.  “They are intelligent.  They are the ones who are causing the shortage of fish."   (The main animals in the movie are penguins).

I think that Happy feet is quite well done as a movie.  In my opinion, two of the main themes echo two of the major events that may be currently happening on this planet - human/alien contact and environmental degradation.  While one could argue that these events have been happening for thousands of years, what is different now is that they are coming into general human awareness.

While there have been alien references in children’s movies in the past (say 30 years), I think that the incidence is increasing.  And lately, particularly in animated children’s movies, at least for the one’s that I have seen, it seems that it is more common to have at least one or two alien references as opposed to no alien references.

Druid,

I never thought of David's theories about the reps came off as a cartoon. He has simply interviewed people who have seen them and reports. He's really just a reporter at heart.  This spin off just sounds like what Ms. Wilder's interview with him consisted of about the hybrid rep shapeshifters.

Re: Aliens in the Media

The Cartoon Network, a cable channel, is using the tagline "The Alien Invasion is Coming" to promote some of its upcoming shows.

This is another example of aliens in the media.

McCartney, Bowie may headline aliens contact concert
Bang! Showbiz | Tuesday, 1 May 2007

Sir Paul McCartney, David Bowie and Michael Jackson are set to make contact with aliens, claims author Michael C Luckman.

The acts, along with Sir Elton John and The Rolling Stones, have been lined up to headline a series of concerts aimed at establishing peaceful contact with aliens by beaming music into outer space.

Luckman, author of Alien Rock: The Rock 'n' Roll Extraterrestrial Connection, plans to hold his 'Signals to Space Concerts' in Berlin, Tokyo, New York, China, Russia, Mexico and London, and hopes extraterrestrials will respond to the shows.

He told BANG Showbiz: "The aim of the concerts is to beam live music into outer space, particularly to targets in our solar systems, including Mars and the moon, to try and establish peaceful contact with extraterrestrial civilisations. Each show will be as large as Woodstock."

He added: "Some of the possible headliners are Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Elton John, David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith and Michael Jackson.

"Pete Bennett, the legendary promotion manager for the Beatles is also going to be involved in the project.

"He is a friend and supporter of both my book and the 'Signal to Space Concerts' and feels, as I do, that space is music's final frontier."

Re: Aliens in the Media

Recently saw the movie Pixar movie "Ratatouille" - which I recommend.

Didn't notice any aliens in that movie, but in the theater, before the main feature was shown, a Pixar short called "Lifted" was shown.

Here is a link to a picture:
http://www.pixar.com/shorts/lift/index.html

The film short depicts a "cutesy" alien abduction of a boy while he is sleeping.

There are two aliens in a big spaceship above a house where a boy is sleeping in his room.  An adult alien is evaluating a younger alien while the younger alien attempts an abduction using a big board (like a sound board) that controls an anti-gravity ray which attempts to lift the human boy into the spaceship.

The humor is that the young alien keeps using the controls in the wrong way and bangs the boy back and forth into the walls of his room.  Even through all this, the human boy remains asleep.

Hello!!  Is someone trying to tell is something?  Or maybe someone else is seeking implied permission?  Or perhaps both (as usual).

Re: Aliens in the Media

Plus the whole Transformers movie.  Also recommended.

Major aliens in the media in that one.  One of the big movies of the summer -getting several messages out in a big way.

Aliens.  Highly advanced technology.  Government cover-up.  Shadow government operatives.  Shapeshifting.

Have fun this this one!

Re: Aliens in the Media

To me,

seeing aliens on TV (which induces semi-hypnoid state) and other medias is like watching a black magic conjuration that invoques demonic beings in our minds and thus in our immediate environment. It often arrives that people get abducted in the night after seeing such an alien documentary or film on TV.

Re: Aliens in the Media

druid,
thanks for that comment.

I think that awareness and perhaps some caution is helpful when watching tv and movies.

Yes, there may be risks.

One risk would be asking for alien contact without providing specifics in the request for what type of contact is desired.
