Aliens in the Media (Page 1 of 14)

I live in Cali and my auto insurance just expired, so I decided to get a quote from them and despite their many humorous commercials, the quote was almost $100 more than what I'm currently paying through another insurance carrier.

Don't believe the hype.

Yes, yes, yes, Lyra made some excellent observations.  Also, I am interested in a more general point which is not really related to car insurance.  It's about aliens in the media. 

Are other people seeing aliens in the media?  Is this increasing?

I find commercials particularly interesting in this regard.  Of course people can choose whether to watch tv or not.  And then you can choose to watch a science-fiction type movie or not.  But then if you are watching a show that's not about aliens and aliens are in the commercials, I think that may be a form of wider exposure to the "general public."

I'll add another result that this alien exposure in the popular media may have contributed to - that yes the "real thing" of actual aliens interacting with us here and now is a very real possibility.

This can be seen as wonderful because we may finally be stepping into a broader and deeper reality.  Wow, we may finally get to travel the galaxy and also experience the "worlds" of possibility that are within us. 

Surely, some or many of the entities will be benevolent and we can learn much.  We can overcome our food and energy and pollution woes.  Sufficiency for everyone.

But wait . . .

This can also be seen as a "wake-up call" of sorts because there is a high probability that some of the aliens desire to control us and assimilate us into their empire.  From their perspective, they may even think that they are doing this "for our own good."

By potentially taking the parts from us (e.g. DNA) that they find valuable, and combining it with other parts (other alien species), they may think that they are doing everyone a favor, and most directly themselves a favor by creating a hybrid breed that will more effectively serve that needs of a coherent, cohesive empire of beings working with a unified purpose.

And that purpose may be to acquire ever more power to rule the known galaxy/universe.

Sound familiar?

So now, maybe it is possible to see Lyra's observations is a new light.  The first one about "indoctrination for the public" refers to be possibility of a staged "alien invasion".  I view this as possible but more of an "emergency backup plan" if the current efforts to bring the human population under heel run into difficulty.

I think that there is plenty that can go wrong with the staged alien invasion scenario.  The biggest thing is that they lose many advantages related to secrecy.  However, let's not discount this too much.  For example, there is a blockbuster (interesting term) movie called "War of the Worlds" that will be released later this month.

The second observation about "discredit the real thing" may relate to a desire to "keep humans asleep" about the real threats that the negative aliens may pose.  These negative aliens don't want organized resistance - they want a docile, spoon-fed humanity.  And if they are really out there and implementing this plan, one could argue that they are doing a very good job (so far).

YES....this is so true.  My only access to TV as of late was at work, in the breakroom, where it's always going, tuned to CNN.   While I didn't notice any alien / UFO stuff going on which would pertain to this thread, what I did notice was what you just mentioned zonabi....the nonsensical commercials.   They just plain don't make any sense!   One time I was in the breakroom with the bellhop, and we were both having a quick snack.  Some dumb nonsense commercial was going on the t.v., and the bellhop kept glancing up at it, but not seeming to think it was weird or anything.  Finally I felt it was my duty to point out how dumb it was.  I can't even remember what it was now, but what we were seeing in the commercial versus the actual product...there was no connection.   It was just so stupid.   I got the bellhop to notice and chuckle (maybe a little nervously....)

Another incident I've relayed once before but I'll mention it again was some dumb commercial I walked in on in the breakroom which showed some dude jumping around like an idiot, with crazy music and a lot of commotion.  It had a circus fiasco feel to it, even though it wasn't supposed to be a circus.   And my fellow employees were eating and staring at the screen, mesmerized.  The Human Resources girl actually had her fork paused in midair as she stared at the image with glossy eyes.  I kid you not.   That about threw me over the edge, and I pointed at the t.v. and said half joking as I passed through, "THIS is why I don't own a t.v.!"   She looked at me puzzled and said, "Why?  You don't like _____(product name, forget what it was) "   I looked at her just as puzzled and said "No!  Because of ridiculous commercials like these!"   

She looked at me like I was the one who was weird.   That's the kicker.

And while I'm on this role here, I can't help but throw in the obscenely obnoxious commercial I once saw for Church's Chicken.  For those not in the U.S., Church's Chicken is a fast food chicken restaurant.   And for those that are not in the U.S., there is a running joke about black people and chicken.    Well, I was at the laundromat, surrounded by black people, and glanced up at the blaring TV to see an ad for Church's Chicken....showing a bunch of black people dancing around, gripping big chicken drumsticks in their hands, taking huge rips out of the meat, then grinning big at the camera and jumping all around and dancing like fools with their chicken.

I don't get embarrassed easily, but I did then.  I actually glanced around at the black people around me nervously, just feeling totally embarrassed.  !   

I know these aren't alien commercials, but damn.....!   Don't get me started about commercials....

I actually saw that commercial just yesterday when I decided to turn on the t.v. for once. You Gotta wonder when they're actually setting up the commercial telling the actors specifically what to do and suddenly one of the guys hands you this alien doll and is like yea just pretend your putting this in the moving truck. The actor must be thinking wtf? whats with the alien doll lol. But then again like most sheep they just do what they're told.
        About the ninja turtles, have you noticed how April, who is the *news reporter* is on the ninja turtles/reptiles side lmao
