Topic: Aliens in the Media

There's a tv commercial running now, I think by State Farm, where car insurance is the product being marketed.

The State Farm ad refers to GEICO ads (another car insurance company) which feature a Gecko which is now the mascot of GEICO.

The little Reptilian Gecko is made to appear cute and adorable.

Anyway, the State Farm ad refers to the Geico company, as Gecko - clearly, there's no doubt that they say Gecko.

A couple is moving and they want to choose just one car insurance company because then their lives will be so much better and simpler.

There's a moving van with all their stuff which they are unloading.  The woman is clearly holding a "life-size" alien "doll" of the Gray variety which is about 3-4 feet tall.

Curious.

Now, I'll speculate about the inference.  I think that  the ad may be making a case to get rid of extra stufff that you don't need, such as two car insurance companies as well as . . . alien dolls.

One could read into this and see a message of "drop that alien influenced car insurance company, the Reptilian 'Gecko' and go with us, the non-alien influenced car insurance company."

Now all you people who don't watch tv can get a sense of what you're missing!  :-)

Re: Aliens in the Media

Well here's a quick idea, as I try to crank this out before getting ready for work...

While that could be the hidden message of the ad, the fact is, all car insurance companies are in effect "alien influenced", because they're all a part of the system as we know it, the MCS.   Everything in this reality is part of the MCS...all corporations, all insurance companies, etc.

The real issue here then is giving you only two choices to choose from:  The supposed "alien" influenced insurance company, versus the supposed non-alien influenced company.

What about the third option?

"Oh, I don't need car insurance, thank you.  I use my powers of intent and reality creation to insure that I don't have car accidents and break downs and break ins.  wink  Works for me.  But thanks for offering!"

There's an idea!

The fact that car insurance is mandatory in certain states (such as California, offhand) and that you HAVE to generate proof of insurance in those states when pulled over by a cop is the MCS at its best.   Whether it's State Farm, Geico, or whatever, it's all control, it's all programming and conditioning. "Oh, you helpless victim of circumstance, you NEED insurance, don't you know??  You're not in control of what happens to you.   You don't have intuition to listen to and rely on.  Not you, you helpless victim!  So buy our insurance....cause you just never know what could accidentally happen to you!  You're not in control, after all!"

wink

Anyway, gotta run!

Re: Aliens in the Media

I live in Cali and my auto insurance just expired, so I decided to get a quote from them and despite their many humorous commercials, the quote was almost $100 more than what I'm currently paying through another insurance carrier.

Don't believe the hype.

Re: Aliens in the Media

Yes, yes, yes, Lyra made some excellent observations.  Also, I am interested in a more general point which is not really related to car insurance.  It's about aliens in the media.

Are other people seeing aliens in the media?  Is this increasing?

I find commercials particularly interesting in this regard.  Of course people can choose whether to watch tv or not.  And then you can choose to watch a science-fiction type movie or not.  But then if you are watching a show that's not about aliens and aliens are in the commercials, I think that may be a form of wider exposure to the "general public."

I have no doubt that it's increasing.  I don't own or watch a t.v. so I can't verify anything in regards to the shows and commercials, but I know that in general, aliens have become so mainstream that it's just normal now to talk about them, (well, in more urban, liberal areas.)

This has accomplished two things, (which have been talked about before here at NR):

1)  Indoctrination for the public.  Whether for a real alien invasion or just the possibility of it, they've definitely got the public ready, "just in case",  through movies, t.v. programs, books, magazines, video games and kitchy images on T shirts, key chains, mugs, bumper stickers, etc.   Aliens are everywhere nowadays.

2)  Discredit the real thing.   When aliens become the commercialized norm, then those who truly have had experiences with UFOs and abductions will be dismissed.  "Oh come on, you've seen waaay too many movies!!"  "Oh come on, wasn't that the plot of an X-Files episode!!  hahahahaha!"  "Oh please, I played what you're talking about on my new X-box game! hahahahahaha!"

"You're crazy."

So yes, aliens are everywhere in the media now, and I take my fellow NR members' words for it that they're now all over the tube in programs that aren't even alien related.   It's all very interesting indeed....

"You're crazy."

I'll add another result that this alien exposure in the popular media may have contributed to - that yes the "real thing" of actual aliens interacting with us here and now is a very real possibility.

This can be seen as wonderful because we may finally be stepping into a broader and deeper reality.  Wow, we may finally get to travel the galaxy and also experience the "worlds" of possibility that are within us.

Surely, some or many of the entities will be benevolent and we can learn much.  We can overcome our food and energy and pollution woes.  Sufficiency for everyone.

But wait . . .

This can also be seen as a "wake-up call" of sorts because there is a high probability that some of the aliens desire to control us and assimilate us into their empire.  From their perspective, they may even think that they are doing this "for our own good."

By potentially taking the parts from us (e.g. DNA) that they find valuable, and combining it with other parts (other alien species), they may think that they are doing everyone a favor, and most directly themselves a favor by creating a hybrid breed that will more effectively serve that needs of a coherent, cohesive empire of beings working with a unified purpose.

And that purpose may be to acquire ever more power to rule the known galaxy/universe.

Sound familiar?

So now, maybe it is possible to see Lyra's observations is a new light.  The first one about "indoctrination for the public" refers to be possibility of a staged "alien invasion".  I view this as possible but more of an "emergency backup plan" if the current efforts to bring the human population under heel run into difficulty.

I think that there is plenty that can go wrong with the staged alien invasion scenario.  The biggest thing is that they lose many advantages related to secrecy.  However, let's not discount this too much.  For example, there is a blockbuster (interesting term) movie called "War of the Worlds" that will be released later this month.

The second observation about "discredit the real thing" may relate to a desire to "keep humans asleep" about the real threats that the negative aliens may pose.  These negative aliens don't want organized resistance - they want a docile, spoon-fed humanity.  And if they are really out there and implementing this plan, one could argue that they are doing a very good job (so far).

hahah.

Photoshop has accomplished so much for me. i could write a book about it.

ahhh, thinking back on these events, i realize i have been a system-buster for quite some time.

--------------------------------------------

im sorry if i detract from your thread wandering.

I noticed that you are bound to see at least 1 alien related commercial per day if u are exposed to the TV like the average human drone is.

one i remember off the top of my mind is a ReMax commercial (real estate i think?) - in this commercial, a father and son are in their rural home at night, when they see LIGHTS flooding into the house from outside. they go outside ot the field, and they see a UFO coming down over the field, all bright lights etc... then when it gets close enough it turns out to be the mother, in a hot air balloon, with a floodlight, dropping in to say that she found a new house somewhere else.

One other thing that i notice in the media, is that commercial are making LESS SENSE everyday. take the above example, which is actually coherent compared to some of the other mind boggling (programming? scrambling?) advertisements out there.

they r also selling little toy UFOs to the kids in the mall kiosks, etc...

YES....this is so true.  My only access to TV as of late was at work, in the breakroom, where it's always going, tuned to CNN.   While I didn't notice any alien / UFO stuff going on which would pertain to this thread, what I did notice was what you just mentioned zonabi....the nonsensical commercials.   They just plain don't make any sense!   One time I was in the breakroom with the bellhop, and we were both having a quick snack.  Some dumb nonsense commercial was going on the t.v., and the bellhop kept glancing up at it, but not seeming to think it was weird or anything.  Finally I felt it was my duty wink to point out how dumb it was.  I can't even remember what it was now, but what we were seeing in the commercial versus the actual product...there was no connection.   It was just so stupid.   I got the bellhop to notice and chuckle (maybe a little nervously....)

Another incident I've relayed once before but I'll mention it again was some dumb commercial I walked in on in the breakroom which showed some dude jumping around like an idiot, with crazy music and a lot of commotion.  It had a circus fiasco feel to it, even though it wasn't supposed to be a circus.   And my fellow employees were eating and staring at the screen, mesmerized.  The Human Resources girl actually had her fork paused in midair as she stared at the image with glossy eyes.  I kid you not.   That about threw me over the edge, and I pointed at the t.v. and said half joking as I passed through, "THIS is why I don't own a t.v.!"   She looked at me puzzled and said, "Why?  You don't like _____(product name, forget what it was) "   I looked at her just as puzzled and said "No!  Because of ridiculous commercials like these!"

She looked at me like I was the one who was weird.   That's the kicker.

And while I'm on this role here, I can't help but throw in the obscenely obnoxious commercial I once saw for Church's Chicken.  For those not in the U.S., Church's Chicken is a fast food chicken restaurant.   And for those that are not in the U.S., there is a running joke about black people and chicken.    Well, I was at the laundromat, surrounded by black people, and glanced up at the blaring TV to see an ad for Church's Chicken....showing a bunch of black people dancing around, gripping big chicken drumsticks in their hands, taking huge rips out of the meat, then grinning big at the camera and jumping all around and dancing like fools with their chicken.

I don't get embarrassed easily, but I did then.  I actually glanced around at the black people around me nervously, just feeling totally embarrassed.  !

I know these aren't alien commercials, but damn.....!   Don't get me started about commercials.... smile

Re: Aliens in the Media

I actually saw that commercial just yesterday when I decided to turn on the t.v. for once. You Gotta wonder when they're actually setting up the commercial telling the actors specifically what to do and suddenly one of the guys hands you this alien doll and is like yea just pretend your putting this in the moving truck. The actor must be thinking wtf? whats with the alien doll lol. But then again like most sheep they just do what they're told.
About the ninja turtles, have you noticed how April, who is the *news reporter* is on the ninja turtles/reptiles side lmao

Re: Aliens in the Media

More Aliens in the media.

Here is the description for a new ABC tv series starting this Fall:

Invasion
Wednesdays, 10/9c

For centuries man has searched the skies for signs of intelligent life… but to no avail.

What if the explanation lay in the fact that aliens were already here... already among us? And what if all of the natural disasters we have been experiencing of late were smokescreens designed to mask something far more ominous?

When yet another devastating hurricane threatens Florida, temporarily cutting off a small town at the edge of the Everglades, U.S. Park Ranger Russell Varon takes heroic measures to keep both the town's citizens and his family safe. In the middle of the violent storm, his young daughter is the only one to see small lights floating towards the water, seemingly unaffected by the vicious winds. At the time he thinks nothing of her claim, but begins to suspect that something may indeed be amiss when his missing ex-wife is found naked, with no memory of what happened during the storm.

As the tiny town struggles to recover while his nemesis, the Sheriff, quarantines the entire area, Varon begins to investigate the strange goings on, unwittingly beginning a fight for the survival of the human race.

Veteran Writer/Producer Shaun Cassidy, and celebrated Director Thomas Schlamme (The West Wing) bring you the suspenseful tale of a blended family that finds itself at the center of a conspiracy designed to mask an alien takeover that is happening one neighbor at a time.

Re: Aliens in the Media

Holy cow....could they be more flagrant??   Wow....truly, I am stunned after reading that, and nothing I hear about TV stuns me anymore......I almost half wish I had a TV just to see this show.  Now THAT'S saying something!
