Re: Anger Management!
My #1 petpeeve: tailgaters.
I cannot count the number of times I 'brake checked' the cretin behind me.
That will either get 'em to back off, or the bell rings and it's "on".
I know that one well! Another thing my dad taught me: tap the brakes once as a warning. If they continue to tailgate, sloooowwww doooowwwwnnn. If they get the message, speed back up, but keep watching and be ready to slow down if they start up again. What really irritates me about tailgaiting is that more often than not, it's large vehicles that think that they can intimidate me by looming in my mirror. Not so.
I once worked with a woman who was proud of being a frequent tailgater. When I told her my method, she got really mad, and swore she would slam into anyone who did that. Funny, that's never even come close to happening, not once. Again, folks are out to intimidate, not stick their necks out.
And to clarify-- I'm not a slow driver. I'm no speed demon, but I keep a fast pace.
