Re: The Shadow People

Yeah, it's that feeling of "being-in-trouble", that deep feeling that you can physically feel in your body, that allows you to perform some pretty amazing feats. That feeling where you know "this is the moment"; now or never. Like you about to leave the track, for me it was do this or fall back. There definitely was a physical feeling, but the feeling I had in my mind overwhelmed everything else. It seriously felt like I was in a dream.

WHOA! You must expound upon this! I believe this is something I do subconsciously, but was unaware that someone was doing it consciously (wasn't sure how I was doing it).

I've had coworkers (and supervisors) in the past absolutely astounded at how I could do certain tasks that would have taken 2 or more people much longer. But when I work alone, I get so much more done.

Please elaborate on this technique.

When it first started, it was subconscious for me too.  It wasn't until I started paying attention that I realized I was "doing" anything at all.   Here's the basic rundown:  I run a bit of attention or "energy stuff" out of my solar plexus, and I feel/sense time as a line, with nodes representing events.  I feel for a node (deadline, someone coming over, etc), and I push against it with the energy I've run out of my solar plexus.  This causes the timeline to expand in front of me, so I can drive further/get more done/ have more time to myself, etc.  Physically, I've used this to put a cushion between me and a car in front of me to prevent collision.  Is this how you do it?

I've always had a strange relationship with time.  People used to comment that I "packed a lot of living" into short time spans, so that when they thought of something that happened in my life 2 weeks ago, it felt like a long time, but this didn't happen when they thought of events in their own lives.  And when I was a kid, I looked older.  Now I"m older, I look younger.

Actually, I use my mind more than anything else. I envision a situation, and do it. It seems that without temporal distractions anything is possible (is that profound, or what?!)

I started practicing the "pushing" technique you mentioned, though, and that had an intense effect. I'll let you know the outcome.

I've had a unique relationship with "time" in my life as well. I've never understood it as others do. They consider things impossible that I've always known were possible. My temporal cognition has never coincided with "normal society's".

I think you have helped in my walk considerably. In the past, it has been as if some "entities" were using my abilities without my knowing. I could literally sense a "time skew", but didn't think I could do anything about it. Now I know that I can.

I've always looked younger than I am, but I've pretty much considered that a family trait. Then again, the time manipulation thing could be a family trait, and the youthfulness a side effect (disallowance of temporal deflections). You should hear some of my dad's stories . . .

Re: The Shadow People

Glad to have helped with your walk!  The sooner we can each get our talents conscious and under control, the sooner we can wrench them from the hands of anyone else who would use them against us.

Another interesting story about time:

When I was 18, a friend and I were walking in a parking lot in my home town, heading for my car.  There was a man pacing back and forth, and when we got closer, we realized he was quite strange.  He was an older man, perhaps a professor, and he was wearing quite an outfit:  A houndstooth jacket, a Sherlock Holmes type hat, plaid BOXER SHORTS, black socks, and loafers.  He was also carrying a pipe.  As he paced back and forth, he mumbled to himself, and as we approached him, he suddenly came toward me, saying, "The nature of *time*  you see, *time*...."  and at that point, I got the hell out of there, assuming he was insane.

10 years later, I was vacationing in San Francisco, waiting with a huge crowd of people to cross the street.  Suddenly from behind, I hear:  "the nature of *time* you see, *time*....".  I looked back, and sure enough.... a middle aged guy dressed like Sherlock Holmes, but with no pants.  I never heard the rest of what he said about time because the crowd swelled around me and carried me away.

Re: The Shadow People

Cool story!

Is there any way you can meditate on it to get some more out of it? I know that I've practiced self hypnosis in order to extract more visual/audio information from a situation.

Fear is such a crappy obstacle. I know once I get over it, life blossoms before me.

Re: The Shadow People

All I've gotten about this situation is that "the nature of time" is something I'm supposed to explore in this lifetime.  In fact, I pause and take due note everytime I read the phrase "the nature of time."  Interestingly, that led me to this forum, as Montalk.net contains that phrase a number of times.

As to who the man is, I may never know.  Or perhaps I'll find him again in 3 years' time.  If he continues his 10-year schedule, you can bet I'll talk to him.

Re: The Shadow People

You may not have to wait that long.

Do you remember what month/day/year you experienced these interactions? Locations?

Re: The Shadow People

It was winter of 88 (I remember it was very cold, which made his pants-lessness even stranger) the first time, and February of 98 the 2nd time.  I know there is a strong possibility they were exactly 10 years apart to the day, but I have no way of knowing for sure.  They were also thousands of miles apart.

Re: The Shadow People

Hmmmmmm . . . blows that theory. Usually profound time experiences occur around the middle of August. Sounds like these were unique to you.

Re: The Shadow People

Hi folks,

I've been a lurker on this board for a little while, and I honestly can't remember if I'd posted anything before now (if not, then let me just say, great board, I've learned a whole lot from you fine folks).

However, tonight I felt I absolutely had to post here to thank Lono for some of the information he posted in this thread, about manipulating time nodes.  I read this information last night (the idea of visualizing a node in the future and pushing/pulling it to manipulate the time available before that node), and I remember distinctly feeling a strong sense of "this is important... I must remember this... it will be very valuable soon."

Little did I know just how soon.  That information saved my wife and I and probably many other people a lot of trouble yesterday.

My wife and I were flying out of Dulles Airport early Monday morning.  We arrived about 1 hr 45 minutes before our departure, which we figured would be plenty of time.  But that assumption was shattered when we got to the airport, and saw an enormous line at the ticket counter, but more significantly a massive security line ten times longer than any I had ever seen before.  By the time we got through check-in and started in the security line, there was only an hour before take-off, and unlike the airline checkin counters, the security people don't care if your flight is only a few minutes from now.  At first glance I was thinking there was no way we'd get through that line in two hours, let alone the 45 minutes we probably had remaining to get on the plane before they closed the doors.

My immediate first thought was that we were utterly screwed, and plenty of other people around me (some of whom I saw at the ticket counter checking in for the same flight) were openly panicking.  They'd ask the security people "do you think there's any way I'm going to make a flight that's an hour from now" and the security people's responses ranged from "probably not" to "not a chance".  I started getting a bit freaked at this point, because if we didn't make it on this flight, there was a high likelyhood we wouldn't make it back to our house today, and because of our dog and a number of other contingencies, this would have been VERY VERY bad if we had not made it home.

But then, before I could really begin to panic, my wife started to calm me down.  She was one of the few people in line who seemed calm, and I noticed the distinction immediately.  She said something to the effect of "relax, we've done all we can do, it's time we calm down and let things happen as they'll happen.  We've done all we can."

And that's when Lono's information popped back into my mind, and my highest intuition told me "This is why you learned this when you did.  You still have a chance.  Make it happen."

And so while standing in this long and very slow moving line, with all the mental and spiritual strength I could muster, I closed my eyes.  I envisioned the time node of our plane taking off.  I think reached out with my ethereal light presence to all the other souls in line, summoning their strength.  If I had been greedy and merely wanted us to make it to our flight, this effort would have failed.  Instead, I needed to do what I did for the benefit of all of us in line desperate to get where we needed to get to.  I envisioned everyone in line, and all the dependencies that others had on them being where they needed to be.  And for those in the same boat as us, I reached out to their souls to get them to silently join my efforts.  And then with that, using our own flight not as the specific target but rather as a symbolic node of departing flights very near in the future, I kept my eyes closed, and focused on the time node, looking at the time line before it.  Then I reached my ethereal arms, all six of them (normally I keep two of my ethereal arms upright together in a prayer mudra, two in a meditation mudra holding the light, and two outstretched to spread light to all around me... but occasionally, when I really need them, I can use them for other purposes like this one).  And I took these arms and light caressed this time node, and then gathered strength, and more strength, and more strength.

And then I pushed, and pushed, and pushed.  I didn't tell me wife I was doing this, but the expression on my face gave me away, she could tell I was heavily into something right now, and even other people around me in the line started to look my way.

And then I closed my eyes again, and kept pushing.  And at a certain critical point, the resistance would suddenly let up, and for lack of a better term, the time node started "rolling away" down the time track for a short distance before coming back to a stop again.

The effect was immediate.  The very instant this "rolling" happened, there was a massive amount of movement in the security line.  An entire section would suddenly move forward in the blink of an eye.

And so I gathered more strength, once again my wife could tell I was doing something, but I wouldn't tell her exactly what, for fear that the "ego trap of personal recognition" would destroy what I was trying to accomplish.  So I stayed quiet; this wasn't about me, it was about all of us who had to get where we were going.

And I pressed the time node again, and pushed as hard as I could, until it rolled again.  And once again the security line leaped forward.

I repeated this probably a couple dozen times, and by the time we finally got to the head of the security line, I was mentally, emotionally, and spiritually drained.  But I had to continue the effort for a bit longer, to make sure that we got on the inter-terminal bus (which we reached just in time) and to our gate (which we ran to), somehow both my wife and I had enough strength left to run the length of the terminal even after my harrowing ordeal.

We got to the gate with less than two minutes to spare.  Other people in the security line around the same time as me who were on the same flight did the same thing, and I could overhear people boarding the plane talking about how it was a miracle they made it in time.  I said nothing, and just smiled in relief.

Once we got on the plane, I finally looked at the clock and compared it with the last time I had checked in, near the far back of the security line.  By all conventional estimates (and posted signs), it should have taken at least 45 minutes to an hour to get through security from where we were then, and then another 20 minutes minimum to take the inter-terminal bus and get to a gate.

We did the whole thing in approximately 30 minutes.

Thank you, Lono.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Re: The Shadow People

Kensei, thank you for telling me your story!  I had no idea whether my node information would even be useful to someone besides myself, let alone so soon.   I'm happy that everyone got to their respective flights on time, and I like the way you picked up their energy/strength to help move the timeline along.

It's sometimes difficult to move a node if other people are constantly "paying attention" (literally, holding the node) to the time.  For example, if I'm driving and want to go farther, my passenger has to go to sleep.  Otherwise, they're sitting there with their eyes open, holding the node.  It sounds as though this dire situation allowed you to get the subconscious cooperation of everyone involved, and that's a key I'll have to remember in the future.

You've made my day with that story!

Re: The Shadow People

Why hasn't anyone mentioned yet that this process was outlined in detail in the movie "Monsters, Inc."?

You know when your were little, and you thought monsters came through your closet and scared you? Well, don't take it personally. It was just a job. Monsters depend on the screams of human children to power their city, Monstrapolis. So they climb through the closet doors of kids around the world, and store the screams at Monsters, Inc. This is dangerous work, as every little monster knows that nothing is more toxic than a human child - "a single touch could kill you!" So when the city's top scarer Sully and his friend Mike accidently let in a human child named 'Boo', they'll do anything to get her back into the world she came from.
