barium (bâr'ēəm) [Gr.,=heavy], metallic chemical element; symbol Ba; at. no. 56; at. wt. 137.33; m.p. 725°C; b.p. 1,640°C; sp. gr. 3.5 at 20°C; valence +2. Barium is a soft, silver-white, chemically active, poisonous metal with a face-centered cubic crystalline structure. It is an alkaline-earth metal in group IIa of the periodic table. Its principal ore is barite (barium sulfate); it also occurs in the mineral witherite (barium carbonate). The pure metal is obtained by the electrolysis of fused barium salts or, industrially, by the reduction of barium oxide with aluminum. Barium is often used in barium-nickel alloys for spark-plug electrodes and in vacuum tubes as a drying and oxygen-removing agent. Barium oxidizes in air, and it reacts vigorously with water to form the hydroxide, liberating hydrogen. In moist air it may spontaneously ignite. It burns in air to form the peroxide, which produces hydrogen peroxide when treated with water. Barium reacts with almost all of the nonmetals; all of its water-soluble and acid-soluble compounds are poisonous. Barium carbonate is used in glass, as a pottery glaze, and as a rat poison. Chrome yellow (barium chromate) is used as a paint pigment and in safety matches. The chlorate and nitrate are used in pyrotechnics to provide a green color. Barium oxide strongly absorbs carbon dioxide and water; it is used as a drying agent. Barium chloride is used in medicinal preparations and as a water softener. Barium sulfide phosphoresces after exposure to light; it is sometimes used as a paint pigment. Barite, the sulfate ore, has many industrial uses. Because barium sulfate is virtually insoluble in water and acids, it can be used to coat the alimentary tract to increase the contrast for X-ray photography without being absorbed by the body and poisoning the subject. Barium salts give a characteristic green color in the flame test. Barium metal was first isolated in 1808 by Sir Humphry Davy by electrolysis.

Not that I'm a chemist or anything, but I bolded what I found interesting.
A buddy of mine and I were just talking about barium in chemtrails earlier this week. As you can see by the last bolded sentence, barium could be used as a tracking device...and what an easy tracking device it could be compared to the cumbersome act of physical implantation, or even beginning to attempt to convince the poplulation to agree to RFID tagging...for their own good, of course. These difficulties in tagging "the herd" become completely mute when a chemical agent like barium is released in the air.
Before reading the above quote I didn't know for sure about its use as a drying agent, but I knew something was up with chemtrails and skin reactions. During times of heavy spraying in my area the skin on my face would have a reaction as if I had a mild chemical burn. This did hurt, and my whole face would peel.
...t'was not fun. And when I write heavy spraying I mean times when there's so many chemtrails it looks like a grid is being built in the sky. I've seen this more than a handful of times, and to see the criss-cross trails is just not at all unusual here (Tampa Bay, FL area).
And as much as I'm not a chemist, I'm also not one to mess with too much geometry ...but just given the words "cubic crystalline structure" gave me pause for thought.

In this Rense article the author writes about barium in chemtrails, and its use in suppressing the human immune system--

Don't know what part aluminum would play in all this, but if it's true about there being an immunio-suppressing agent like barium sprayed with dried human red blood cells...well, think about the organ transplanting process. DNA manipulation has already been discussed on the thread.
Now suppose there is bio-nanotech piggy-backing on the dried red blood cells? GACK!!
Sounds like the foundation for a good sci-fi book, eh?
Setting aside the over the top, and not so over the top, chemtrail conspiracy stuff, when I read this next quote I thought about what a crock of kwap this person is spewing--

Many theorists have used the observation of “chemtrail grids,… or crosshatched contrail patterns as evidence that aircraft are blanketing target areas with sprayed agents. To prove this, they would need two things. One: video or photographic evidence of aircraft emitting materials in a manner inconsistent with normal contrails, as described above. Two: video evidence of a single aircraft making multiple passes over an area consistent with the formation of the grid pattern. It would be helpful if we could actually see evidence of the spray nozzles being turned on and off during the maneuvers.
So far, I have seen no such videos, and none of the photos I have seen prove that this is the case. All I have seen are photos of a few parallel trails and perhaps one intersecting trail. (Why didn’t the photographers wait until the aircraft had completed real “grids… and photograph those?) In fact, there is a reasonable explanation for the formation of these parallel lines.
Aircraft flying above 18,000 feet are required to be on an “instrument flight plan.… As such, they often follow “federal airways… designed for the separation and management of air traffic – especially in the vicinity of hub airports. Aircraft en route to the same destination are likely to be following one another on the same airway. Think of these as highways in the sky.
Here’s what happens. Aircraft A is traveling along airway XYZ, leaving a contrail behind. Several minutes later, aircraft B follows on the same airway, tracking the exact same line over the surface of the earth. It is also leaving a contrail. However the air mass is in motion due to wind aloft, which carries the first contrail away from its original location. The result is the contrail from aircraft B appears as a line parallel to that of aircraft A’s contrail. Enter aircraft C, D, and E following the same airway. You now have five parallel lines. Add aircraft F, traveling a course perpendicular to the others, and you have the beginnings of a grid.

As the note line to this picture says--this is not normal jet traffic. I don't care who says what to the contrary.
The last pic is from http://www.bariumblues.com/ . There's also info on the site about HAARP, too.
