Topic: Hypothesis: HIV DOES NOT CAUSE AIDS

Dr. Peter Duesberg is a professor of molecular and cell biology at University of California at Berkeley.  Along with numerous papers, he has written the books “Infectious AIDS: Have We Been Misled?"  (1994) and “Inventing the AIDS Virus" (1997).

Here is the link to the Amazon reviews for "Inventing the AIDS Virus":
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/089526 … oding=UTF8

His research indicates that HIV does not cause AIDS.  He states that AIDS is caused by extended use of cocaine, heroin, and or methamphetamines or AZT and similar drugs which are meant slow down AIDS.

Here are some of his points:
-    AIDS is restricted to intravenous and oral users of recreational drugs and of AZT, because drugs cause AIDS.
-    American/European AIDS predominantly affects adult males, because they are the predominant users of recreational drugs and AZT.
-    Pediatric AIDS occurs because of maternal drug addiction.
-    Only a small fraction of drug users develop AIDS, because only the highest cumulative drug doses cause irreversible diseases.
-    Non-correlations between HIV and AIDS, because drugs, not HIV, cause AIDS.
-    Discontinuation of drug use either stabilizes or cures AIDS and other diseases – even in HIV-positives

He goes into a great deal of detail with regard to how HIV does not behave like a virus that causes AIDS.

Here is his website: http://www.duesberg.com/

Apparently, there has been a monolithic and dogmatic approach from from the National Institute of Health and the Center for Disease Control and lots of media publicity, but he states that the science does not back up that statement that HIV causes AIDS.

Indeed!

Another good thread about AIDS here:  http://forum.noblerealms.org/viewtopic.php?id=168

The AIDS/HIV connection has been based on fraud and profit from the beginning.

Is HIV the Cause of AIDS?

There is no proof that HIV causes AIDS. In fact, all the epidemiological and microbiological evidence taken together conclusively demonstrates that HIV cannot cause AIDS or any other illness. The concept that AIDS is caused by a virus is not a fact, but a belief that was introduced at a 1984 press conference by Dr. Robert Gallo, a researcher employed by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). (14)

HIV is a retrovirus, a type of virus studied meticulously during two decades of federal health programs that centered around the search for a cancer virus. The idea of contagious cancer was a popular notion in the 1960s and 70s. Since retroviruses have no cell-killing mechanisms, and cancer is a condition marked by rapid cell growth, this type of virus was considered a viable candidate for the cause of cancer. However, healthy people live in harmony with an uncountable number of harmless retroviruses; some are infectious while others are endogenous, produced by our own DNA. (15) Few, if any, retroviruses have been shown to cause disease in humans.

In the 1980s when the CDC began to direct its attention to AIDS, Gallo and other cancer researchers switched their focus from cancer to the newly identified dilemma called AIDS, and the same government scientists who led the quest for a cancer virus began to search for a virus that could cause AIDS.

On April 23, 1984, Gallo called an international press conference in conjunction with the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). He used this forum to announce his discovery of a new retrovirus described as "the probable cause of AIDS." Although Gallo presented no evidence to support his tentative assumption, the HHS immediately characterized it as "another miracle of American medicine...the triumph of science over a dreaded disease." (16)

Later that same day, Gallo filed a patent for the antibody test now known as the "AIDS test." By the following day, The New York Times had turned Gallo's proposal into a certainty with front page news of "the virus that causes AIDS," and all funding for research into other possible causes of AIDS came to an abrupt halt. (17)

By announcing his hypothesis to the media without providing substantiating data, Gallo violated a fundamental rule of the scientific process. Researchers must first publish evidence for a hypothesis in a medical or scientific journal, and document the research or experiments that were used to construct it. Experts then examine and debate the hypothesis, and attempt to duplicate the original experiments to confirm or refute the original findings. Any new hypothesis must stand up to the scrutiny of peer review and must be verified by successful experiments before it can be considered a reasonable theory.

In the case of HIV, Gallo announced an unconfirmed hypothesis to the media who reported his idea as if it were an established fact, inciting government officials to launch new public health policies based on the unsubstantiated notion of an AIDS virus. Some attribute these violations of the scientific process to the atmosphere of terror and desperation that surrounded the notion of an infectious epidemic.

The data Gallo used to construct his HIV/AIDS hypothesis were published several days after his announcement. Rather than supporting his hypothesis, this paper revealed that Gallo was unable to find HIV (actual virus) in more than half of the AIDS patients in his study. (1cool2 While he was able to detect antibodies in most, antibodies alone are not an indication of current infection and are actually an indication of immunity from infection.

His paper also failed to provide a credible explanation as to how a retrovirus could cause AIDS. Gallo suggested that HIV worked by destroying immune cells, but 70 years of medical research had shown that retroviruses are unable to kill cells, and he offered no proof that HIV differed from other harmless retroviruses. In fact, all evidence to date conclusively demonstrates that HIV -- like all retroviruses -- is not cytotoxic.

The focus of questions about HIV quickly shifted from how it could cause AIDS to who found the now valuable viral commodity after Dr. Luc Montagnier of the Pasteur Institute in France accused Gallo of stealing his HIV sample. A congressional investigation determined that Gallo had presented fraudulent data in his original paper on HIV, and that the virus he claimed to have discovered had been sent to him by Montagnier. (19) Negotiations were conducted between the French and American governments to establish discovery and patent rights. (20) These ended in a compromise, with Montagnier and Gallo sharing credit as the codiscoverers of HIV and ownership rights to the HIV test. Montagnier has since stated that he does not believe HIV alone is capable of causing AIDS. (21)

Since 1984, more than 100,000 papers have been published on HIV. None of these papers, singly or collectively, has been able to reasonably demonstrate or effectively prove that HIV causes AIDS. Although Gallo claimed that HIV caused AIDS by destroying the T cells of the immune system, 20 years of cancer research confirmed that retroviruses are not cytotoxic. In fact, there is still no evidence in the scientific literature demonstrating that HIV is able to destroy T cells, directly or indirectly.

Comparing HIV to Varicella Zoster Virus (VZV), the known cause of chicken pox, highlights some of the ways in which HIV defies rules of science and logic.

HIV is the only virus that is said to cause a group of diseases caused by other viruses and bacteria rather than causing its own disease. AIDS experts also say that HIV is able to cause cell depletion -- loss of immune cells -- at the same time it causes cell proliferation or cancer.

Although more research money has been spent on HIV than on the combined total of all other viruses studied in medical history, there is no scientific evidence validating the hypothesis that HIV is the cause of AIDS, or that AIDS has a viral cause. A good hypothesis is defined by its ability to solve problems and mysteries, make accurate predictions and produce results. The HIV hypothesis has failed to meet any of these criteria.

Re: Hypothesis: HIV DOES NOT CAUSE AIDS

Thanks Lyra.  And now I see that that thread was started two years ago.  And thanks Aquarius.  For me, with the whole HIV/AIDS thing, initially, I was thinking/feeling - no f*cking way!  Holy shit!  Could that really be true!

Through massive propaganda and repetition the HIV/AIDS theory/hoax has become so engrained that it's something that "everyone" just "knows" to be true.

Why?  Because it's been all over the media for 20 years.  And the monolithic government agencies support that view.  It's just so amazing.

But then when you really study this stuff - it's like - of course, it fits the pattern perfectly.

Propanganda - Fear - Lives Ruined - Lives Lost - The Machine rolls on.

But eventually the truth comes out (that's my opinion).

I'm sure some will say - no, things aren't going to get better.  But as I have written many times before, I think that the situation is far better than it appears of the surface.

My feeling is that on this particular planet, we are shifting into positive from a bitter and divided positive/negative learning experience.

My extensive review of the medical literature has not led me to a single individual with AIDS that was caused by HIV, nor a single person with AIDS who was cured by the treatment with the antiviral agents (AZT and protease inhibitors). On the contrary, epidemiology and pathology of AIDS worldwide show that agents and factors other than HIV are responsible for causing the AIDS epidemic [1-6]. My findings include:

1) The appearance of AIDS in the USA and Europe coincided with the introduction of crack cocaine, the use of alkyl nitrites by homosexuals to enhance anal sex, and the approval of glucocorticoid aerosol use to treat inflammation of respiratory systems in 1976.

2) AIDS in drug users and homosexuals in the USA and in Europe results from heavy ancillary use of glucocorticoids and other immunosuppressive agents. Physicians prescribe these drugs to treat a wide range of chronic illnesses of the respiratory and gastrointestinal systems, and other organs.

3) AIDS in hemophiliacs relates to the use of corticosteroids and other immunosuppressive agents to prevent the development of antibodies for factors VIII and IX, and used to treat other chronic illnesses such as joint disease.

4) AIDS in people receiving blood and/or tissue follows use of glucocorticoids to prevent transfusion and tissue rejection, and to treat other illnesses.

5) AIDS in infants and children is caused by their exposure to drugs and corticosteroids in utero, and to corticosteroids used after birth to treat their chronic illnesses.

6) AIDS in Africa results from malnutrition, the consequent release of endogenous cortisol, and opportunistic diseases. Atrophy in the thymus and lymphoid tissue in people suffering from malnutrition has been known since 1925; malnutrition also impairs T cells functions. Feeding an adequate diet reverses these changes. It cures AIDS! Thymus size in malnourished children increased from 20% of normal to 107% of normal, after nine weeks of feeding.

7) Kaposi's sarcoma (KS) and lymphoma result from the use of steroids and drugs, and the release of endogenous cortisol. They are not caused by a slow virus. Stopping treatment with immunosuppressive agents prior to metastasis reverses KS in some cases.

8) The medications currently used to treat patients with AIDS, such as AZT, protease inhibitors, and glucocorticoids are highly toxic. They can cause AIDS in asymptomatic patients; they worsen the condition of AIDS patients and even lead to their death. These drugs have no therapeutic value; their use should stop forthwith.

9) Damage to the immune system is rapidly reversible after removal of the true insulting agent or treatment of the factual causes. Examples: a) The CD4+ T cells of 1,075 HIV-positive pregnant women increased from 426/uL to 596/uL in six months on a balanced diet. This also improved the outcome of their pregnancies; and b) In HIV-positive homosexuals, stopping treatment with glucocorticoids reversed a fall in CD4+ T cells.

That's a pertinent point to bring up, the fact that Magic (now a shill for the pharmaceutical companies btw) and I believe Greg Louganis are seemingly healthy on the AIDS cocktail of drugs appears to support the official line that HIV causes AIDS and drug company treatment will improve health.

However, since Magic works for the drug companies now, how can we be certain that he is taking the same cytotoxic mix of toxic drugs given to others who sicken and die very quickly, at immense profit to these same companies?  After all, the drug companies have a vested interest in keeping their spokesman well.

Another interesting part of the AIDS puzzle is the fact that the HIV test does not test for the virus specifically, rather it tests for a certain antibody which can be found in the body for a multitude of other reasons, thus it does not prove infection with any specific virus.
