- Know where the herbs come from
- Brew in pots or kettles (not coffee makers)
- Brew for at least 2 hours, but ideally overnight
- Keep herbs in a dark, dry area

Re: Herbal Tea Blends...

Hi Camerion Hey I have used the herb mullen for sinuses it works till you get immune to it. Thanks for this post with the mix of the other herbs in the catergory of asthma maybe I wont get immune so quick. I also have come acrose some of the other herbs in the immune catergory. Here are four that supposed to cure cancer.                                                                                                                                      The Essiac Formula

6  ½ cups of Burdock root (cut
16 ounces of Sheep Sorrel herb (powder)
1 ounce of Turkey Rhubarb root (powder)
4 ounces of Slippery Elem bark (powder)

Preparation of Essiac herbal tea

     1) Measure out 8 ounces of the Essiac mix (the dry formula above)

     2) Place two gallons of distilled water in a stainless steel kettle.

     3) Bring the water to a brisk boiling point (about 30 minutes)

     4) Put Essiac dry mix into the boiling water, stir and boil hard for about 10 minutes

     5) Allow to sit and cool slowly for six hours.

     6) after six hours, stir it thoroughly with a wooden or stainless tool.

     7) Let it sit for another six hours.

     8) Return kettle to stove and bring to a boil.

     9) When the boiling point is reached, turn off the heat and pour the contents through a                       stainless strainer into a second stainless kettle.

   10) Clean the first kettle thoroughly.

   11) Strain the contents a second time from pot two to pot one.

   12) Bottle the herbal tea immediately into dark amber bottles and seal it while still hot.
(Purchase at drug store or pharmacy)

   13) Store in refrigerator.

Directions for use of Essiac

Heat two ounces (four tablespoons) distilled water then mix it with two ounces of Essiac           tea taken directly from the refrigerator.

Essiac should be taken at bed time on an empty stomach,at least two hours after eating. It           can be taken in the morning on an empty stomach. Do not eat at least two hours after taking           the Essiac.

Keep the Essiac refrigerated at all times. Shake well each time before pouring.                                                                                                           I been tempted to print out  thoundsands and take to cancer wards and distribute. Here is a good site for the  history       http://essiac-info.org/  BE BLESSED

Re: Herbal Tea Blends...

The other night, I was REALLY nauseaus and it wasn't going away even when I tried to ignore it.  I have pure ginger tea bags on hand so I brewed a quick cup of ginger tea, with a bag of peppermint as well.   This stuff WORKS.  Wow!   Within minutes of starting to drink it the nausea was sqelched.     I'd always heard "drink ginger ale" when you have stomache problems....well, forget the Ginger ale, that's bad for you anyway wink  instead, focus just on the ginger.   I made it really strong, so the ginger was spicy and had a lot of bite, added some honey and it was good to go.   They sell all these nausea medicines in the supermarkets and drug stores, made of who knows what, funding the pharmaceutical corporations, when a simple herb that many people have in their spice cabinets does the trick, and probably much quicker and more effectively.   I don't know how ginger works so well on the stomache and digestive track, but I defintely recommend it.

Re: Herbal Tea Blends...

Most ginger ale is artificial, supposedly "Canada Dry Ginger Ale" uses the real deal, probably the same with ginger ale from the health food stores.

Licorice, anise and fennel are supposed to work as well.
