That said.  I've been able to manifest quite a bit.  I understand what you are saying.  However, I've had trouble applying it to money.  Not sure why, but I've been trying to figure out what my blocks are.

Re: So you want to win the Lottery?

freeme,
It's good you realize that blocks are the things interfereing with your intending.   We all have them, and I too don't always do my best when I intend for money to come, although I have had some small break-throughs.

The thing to do if you wish to master this or even just discover your blocks is to keep practicing.  Daily intending sessions are what will finally give you the "ah ha", when it comes to how to handle all this.   I try and practice as much as possible.

There's also a great chapter in the book I mentioned called "Ask and it is given", this particular part of the book deals with "segment intending", where you break-up your day into segments, like morning, noon and evening.   And then choose to intend for that particular segment to work better for you.   For example, in the morning before you go to work you can intend to have a very safe and comfortable drive.   You can also intend for there to be less traffic.   When you get to work before you actually walk in you can intend for you co-workers to treat you well, and your Boss to be
more polite... etc.    You can do this for each part of the day, it's cool when you do this alot, and when your intents really "take" for whatever reason, and you see circumstances changes only because you wished them to.    It will leave you, on someday's, with your mouth open in surprize.   I know that's happened to me.   And you also realize how easy it can be to smooth things out with just a single intention.   This has got to be one of the best way's to prove to yourself that our power's are so much greater than we could have ever imagined.

J.P.

P.S.
I'm glad to see others working on this too, I know you're out there, I'm happy some of you could check in!

For me the culprits have been non-positive attitudes and spiritual irresponsibility when it comes to money. As much as freewill exists, there are synchronistic guard rails in place that shape the flow of things. You can ignore their influence, but then you are on your own.

Money gives you freedom to buy anything money can buy, including things that would send you crashing through the rails. You get only as much synchronistic cash flow as you can responsibly apply towards necessary and productive ends. If each of you were to win a million dollars this weekend, would you use that money toward spiritually healthy or destructive ends? If the latter, why should higher forces assist your self-destruction? And I don't mean picking up a cocaine habit, but rather mundane things you think are harmless according to social convention, but actually distractive according to a higher perspective.

Living totally "in the flow" without ever having to use the "cause and effect" method of getting money requires that you be squeaky clean. Then reality rolls out the red carpet because you have transcended the control system and are in complete harmony with divinity. How many of us are at  that stage? Perhaps no one...yet. But getting there is a process whereby wisdom, discernment, faith, and internal harmony increase incrementally in conjunction with the external reality feedback mechanism reinforcing that process. In other words, breaking through previously assumed limitations and fears to discover the way things actually work instead of how we are programmed to think the world works.

Choices already made in life have binding consequences, and some people are just too weighed down with the effects of poor choices to quickly get out of the hole...however, opportunities can manifest to help one get back on track. So no matter where you are, there are ways of getting out.

You can get anything you want either through synchronistic attraction or cause-and-effect. For those having to work their ass off to get anything in life, the lottery is particularly frustrating because it won't let you use cause-and-effect. Instead you buy your ticket and cross your fingers, then throw the remote when your numbers don't come up. The lottery is entirely a matter of probability, and the only thing that can bend probability is the acausal force of synchronistic manifestation. I guess one can use remote viewing or divination to get the right numbers, but that's another discussion.

Currently, anything that I absolutely need comes to me - usually at the last minute in the most unexpected way. Times when I had a negative attitude, I only missed certain doom by the skin of my teeth and via lots of stressing. Times when I had a more positive attitude, things worked out sooner and better. So I have learned to keep my frequency up above neutral to avoid problems. But anything extra beyond the bare necessities I gotta work for. Reality has been like synchronistic welfare for me...just the basics, nothing more.

Honestly, I keep forgetting to try the lottery. But here is what I would do:  1) go for the smaller lotteries to improve odds and reduce the risk of screwing up your life with larger prizes, 2) be pure in your intent about what you need the money for,  3) use self-denial to strongly curtail all anticipation and fantasies of winning, and 4) replace any pessimistic, powerless, greedy, or desperate attitudes with positive ones.

The difficulty is in having sincere intent for things beyond what you actually need.

Acquiring fringe knowledge is like digging for diamonds in a mine field.

That's about where I am at too, more often with the narrowly missing doom by the skin of my teeth scenario....  although I am grateful to be alive, which is probably a miracle.

Re: So you want to win the Lottery?

What I'm curious about is what people are looking for when they talk of intending for "abundance" and "manifesting money."  How much money are we talking about here?  How do you define "abundance" ?   Does it mean to not only have all your needs met financially, but to have boatloads of money left over....ie, being "rich" ?  Being able to afford material things?  That sort of thing?  That's the first thing I thought of as I read through this thread...............what exactly is it that people are looking for / hoping for when they request abundance with money?

With that said, I'll share this, and what reality has shown me over the years:

- Back in 1999 the carburator of the Nissan Sentra I was driving at the time crapped out on me.  It cost $230 to repair, and at that time I didn't have spare cash floating around really, so it was a tight squeeze.  Also, "coincidentally" at work the same exact week we received our monthly bonus checks, which were never more than $50 apiece after being divied up amongst us admin girls.  But that's not the amazing part.   My supervisor pulls me aside and sits me down to tell me that there's a slight problem with my check.  Corporate in New York made a mistake with mine, a BIG mistake, and for some reason my bonus check was for $230 when it should have only been for about 50 something dollars.   However...they were going to just let me keep it and say forget it.  And don't tell my coworkers.  It's not going to go over well at all if people find out that I basically got almost an entire second paycheck, and they didn't.

Sounds utterly unbelievable, but trust me, it's absolutely fricking true.   At that time, I wasn't as perceptive as I am now, totally not aware on many levels about most things, and so I was just like wow....huh....and acknowledged the weird "coincidence", but wasn't as floored by it as I should have been.  I look back on it now though and I'm like HOLY SHIT.   Seriously.  HOLY SHIT!

So, how did this happen?  That's the big question.  It happened because I had this intense....but fleeting....thought that "Wow, I can't really afford this $230 now.  It would be nice if I didn't have this right now!!"

Then I put it out of my head.

There were no expectations, no anxiety, no "gimme gimme gimme I want I want I want."  No greed.  No money hunger.   It was a simple, straight forward, well intentioned, non-greedy, pointed thought that shot out there into the program of reality, then was forgotten two seconds after the fact, as I went back about my business.  But even though I was off to other things, reality was already at work, alligning things to get that money reimbursed to me.

There are other stories, but I can't remember them right now, but that's the best one I can share.

With that said, that segues back onto my original question of what exactly is it that people are looking for when they talk about "material abundance" and "manifesting money" ?   Because to be honest, in our western society, "material abundance" usually translates to greed.   They're not happy with their needs being met and a little leftover.  Nope.   Parents gotta have the huge house with the back breaking mortgage, their sophisticated techno gadgets in every room, the latest upgraded car(S) that they saw advertised on t.v., etc.  Everything has to be shiny and new, the latest version of this and that.  Buy it up, barely use it before tossing it aside and buying more more more.  Kids gotta have their video gaming systems, huge wardrobe and cell phones.

If only people could learn to live modestly and below their means......and not fall victim to society's programming that this is a bad thing......if only they could learn to curb their spending and stop being materialistic consumers that are never happy and want more, more, more.

It's so cliche, but it needs to be said:  You can't take it with you.   If only society could realize that.  You can't take the flashy cars and techno gadgets and sizable wardrobe and "the lifestyle" with you.  And it won't make you happy.   Learn to be happy in a sparsely decorated room with nothing but books.  (and a plant or two! and a pet!  haha)  There you go!  smile  But so many people can't.

There's such a chase for money in society.  I don't get it.

Oh yeah.......when I worked last year at "The Illuminati Hotel" wink as I called it, I was alone at the front desk one day when this dude in a tux strolls by.  Tall, big, arrogant, there for a wedding that was going on that weekend.  Asks me a question, I answer him, and he starts to walk away, and as an afterthought he pulls out a twenty.........and tosses it onto the counter and says something about how it's because everybody there's been helpful.   (??  I politely answered a yes/no question....not really deserving of a twenty I don't think.  So, he's doing this to "show off" and act like he's Mr. Big for being able to whip out money and throw it at people.)

I glance up and see this twenty that's just been tossed onto the counter, for me, and I see him walking off...and then turn back slightly to see if I'm diving for it or not.    !!!   And a slight look of surprised puzzlement because I'm not.    This guy seriously expected me to go diving for this twenty like it's gold!  Why??  Because most people would.  That's how far gone this society has gotten.    People think they can LITERALLY toss money out there into the air, and whoever is around will drop what they're doing like a conditioned Pavlovian DOG and go diving for it, drooling and tripping over their own legs to lunge for a f*cking piece of paper.  It's sad.

I went back to my typing on the computer - assigning rooms to incoming reservations - and left the twenty on the counter, and actually forgot about it til two of my coworkers wandered back up front and were like, "Who's twenty is this??"   Long story short, I told them where it came from and how I didn't want it, and their eyes got huge, like, You gotta be kidding!!  They split it, ten each.  They needed it more than me anyway.  And I don't tell this story to be all like, "OH LYRA IS JUST **SOOOOOOOO** ABOVE MONEY"  No, it's not like that.  I need money, I admit it.  I have rent and utilities to pay, I need to eat, I need to keep gas in my car and keep up on repairs as needed, and I have a cat that relies on me to take care of her.  But all I ask for in life is that my needs are met, with a little left over.   This money hungry thing where life revolves around "How can I get more money?!?!!!!" (insert panting and drooling here...)  is just mind boggling to me.   People throwing f*cking twenty dollars bills at me and expecting me to dive for it.....??   Please.    And the fact that MOST people WOULD dive for it......?!?!   Wow.   Just...wow.

And I'm not speaking for anybody here on this forum when I spout my random thoughts here either.  Everybody's got their own situation going on.   It's just my views on money in general, inspired by reading this.   I wish people would rebel against money chasing.  It's a weird paradox though.  On the one hand, the Powers That Be want us all to be chasing materialism and act like good little consumers, coveting everything they wave in our faces.  They want us "striving high" and preoccupying ourselves with getting rich so we can buy more shit and make THEM more rich in turn.   On the other hand....they also want to simultaneously "keep us down."   They love it when people are poor and live in trailers and ghettos and tiny little houses and apartments.   Create a huge divisive gap between the rich and the poor.   So yes, we have a paradox.   Two polar opposites, yet the thing they have in common is an obsession with money. You're either a money hungry, panting and drooling materialistic consumer who can afford to buy lots of "things", and does so, frequently, or, you're a downtrodden poor person who covets having more money and wishes they could have "things."

What's a person to do then?  What should we be ideally striving for then?

This is just my opinion, and it doesn't mean I say everybody "needs" to do this, or be like me, but I'm thinking we need to go for that third option.   The one where we eliminate the obsession with money.  Strive to earn what you need to survive, with some leftover, and be happy with that, and meanwhile, live modestly below your means, don't chase material possessions, and trust that reality will work out for you.  Know that you will be taken care of when an unexpected expense pops up.  Just KNOW it.   It WILL work out.   In that way, you eliminate the "Conditioned Pavlovian Dog" mentality, you're no longer the obedient trained consumer pet of TPTB, you're making what you need, you're taken care of, your life is simple and uncomplicated, and most importantly, you've removed the obsession about money thing from the equation, and are living in a way that relies on higher concepts.  You're not playing by 3rd density rules anymore.   You've removed yourself from the way the average person out there is living.   The average trapped 3rd density person chases money like a panting dog, always looking for ways to get more, obsessing about it, feeling this **need** for it.   Somebody who's striving for something higher knows they don't have to worry about it.   Life WILL work out.

This is how reality is for those in higher realms.  Think about that.  If we can read about this in metaphysical / new age books, why can't we live it??   Why do we read about something and think, Wow, that's great!.....then turn around and keep living the way we're living, with old hang ups and restrictions??  What, because we're "just" 3rd density?  It doesn't apply to us?  X!   We're 3rd, and moving beyond.  Most here on this forum are moving beyond and straddling life in two planes half the time.  smile   Be willing to meet reality half way and do what you have to do, but trust that reality will cover the rest, your needs WILL be met, things WILL work out, and you won't need to worry about trying to get more, more, more! money...because you can't take it with you anyway, so what's the point?   Things will all fall into place and work out for you.   Because we're not "just" 3rd, we're 3rd, moving beyond.

Just my thoughts..............

Reminds me a line from the movie The Matrix, when Trinity said to Neo...."The Matrix cannot tell you who you are"   I doubt Neo had any idea what that meant at the time, and that's probably where many are still taking their "cues" from in our reality too.

I just established contact again today with an older woman who has been instrumental from behind the scenes in a lot of very important UFO abduction research.  She made it a specific point at the end of our conversation to tell me: "... and I want you to always remember this:  no one else can tell you who you are.  No psychic, no astrologer, only you can truly find that out for yourself."    I'm laughing nervously as I re-read this thread ... I wonder if I just actually spoke to "the oracle."  This lady even spoke in a very similar tone of voice to the Oracle lady in the movie.

Today has indeed been a very strange day.   I'm already counting a couple of major number synchs, and Spirit_of_Syth posted about a UFO sighting with accompanying puncture marks.    An astrologer friend tells me that this particular new moon which we've just begun is in Pisces, which rules the subconscious.  I think that's interesting.

Hahaha lol Good question thook!

That is an interesting thread. All of you should also know what Jesus says in bible;  "if you have a little bit whole faith, you can move a big mountain" (not sure about the exact saying, smth like that). Also Don juan says "you have the power of an infinite universe to you left and to your right" in Castaneda books.

But, Don juan also says "what did it change in your life? Did knowing this infinite power make any difference in your life?". Here's the trick. It's one thing to know a road, another thing to WALK on it. My experience till now showed me talking on these subjects "zooms out" the conscioussness more & more. Maybe it's because of intervention of ego "hey, where's the money/results they promised me?" or "heh, look at all those people, if it was that easy why don't they all win the lottery"?

Uhm, why don't these masses living in poverty win the lottery anyway? big_smile

Montalk,
Thanks for the long reply.  I'm happy you continue to work with intending.   Your observations are priceless, I'm glad you could share!

This is a topic that's not discussed enough and also taken to the "next level".   Taking our power back frightens many people, and intending can put you into direct contact with this.

Re: So you want to win the Lottery?

lyra,
Your long post was very interesting, as all your post's are!    Thanks for taking the time to get into that.   My point with this string of post's and the lotto in general is to inspire people to take the next step (or maybe first step) when it comes to intending to change things in their realities.

This simple skill needs to be stressed more, it's way too overlooked and taken for granted.

With that said, I don't think if you go for the "big one" money-wise you could be considered obsessed with money, I was thinking in unlimited terms and not just about getting by.   Intending needs to be constantly practiced to get the feel for it and of course you have to let go of much fear to really take advantage of it.

I don't have much more to add, I know you already use intending, so keep up the good work.

Morningsun76,
Interesting you should have that same quote or "word's or wisdom" repeated to you twice in such a short time.    Whenever a repetition takes place like that, it's usually some type of message our inner selves are trying to get across to us.   I'm sure you already know this, but just wanted to repeat it.

Even the number coincidences that just seem to pop-up, hold much information for us, as you noted.   It's time to wake up and pay attention.... I hope more follow your lead!

Re: So you want to win the Lottery?

I don’t really understand the fuss about money.  Money is a piece of inert paper we must have to do business, eat, pay the rent, entertainment, etc…  I personally like money, the more the merrier.  There is nothing “evil”  about money.  Money cannot do harm to either you or me.  We, human beings, are the ones who inflict the pain, the suffering.

Some people have a knack for money and everything they do turns into money.  Others have to work extremely hard just to get by.   Is it karma?  Maybe.  Is it that some people can embrace money better than others?  Maybe.  Whatever the answer may be it does not have anything to do with money being evil.

Earn money and once you have taken care of your basic needs if you have any money left then spend it doing something constructive.  If you still have some left then do something good for yourself.  AND IF YOU STILL HAVE SOME LEFT, save it for a rainy day!

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we had enough money to be able to spend more time engaging on deeper spiritual matters?   No more 9-5 jobs.  Why is it that most of the time we equate money with corruption? And even if a good percentage of people with money engage in corrupted behavior, why is it that we reject money?  The corrupted people are not us! Are we afraid to face the ugly shadow that lurks in our subconscious?  Wouldn’t it better to look at it straight in the eyes and say “You ugly son of the bitch get out of my life.  I reject you"?

Enlightment comes with experience; being able to say I have been to Hell and back.  Very few people become enlightened just reading books or rejecting the experience.  Go ahead and embrace money, enjoy it.  Use it as you see fit.  But remember there is a karmic law and what goes around comes around.  Use it wisely!

Regards,

Lee

P.S. I just got back from the bank and the teller tells me my company account has gone $2,700 in the red.  I said “that’s impossible” .  My heart felt like it hit the ground but immediately I remember “its just fuc@%ng money.  I know it will be back on the black by the end of the week and I don’t really care what the teller thinks about the entire matter.  I am at peace with myself and that’s all I need.  Of course, if money comes along I will greet it with a big smile.
