Topic: Developing psychic ability

I just came across this site which I thought had an interesting collection of short articles on developing pyschic ability.

Re: Developing psychic ability

Thanks, it has some interesting info! Question for anybody out there... For a while I would have vivid dreams of greeting dead people as they passed over, sort of helping them realize that they were no longer in  the physical. Has anybody else experienced this?

Re: Developing psychic ability

I experienced this once when a neighbor of mine passed away. I had a vivid dream in which I was explaining to him what was happening and comforting him. The next day I found out he had died and I didn't even know he had been sick ! I wasn't especially close to this person , just a person in my neighborhood that I occasionally spoke with. It never happened again.

Re: Developing psychic ability

Treehugger, I have personal experiences of what you describe.
As an "agent" of Azrael, many times I have released a soul and crossed them into the great beyond.  Keep in mind Death is only a transition...you may also be a catalyst for bringing transition into lives of others...ever felt called to awaken a person to the truth and send them on a path of seeking?  A Death of sorts happens when a soul evolves.

Pm me sometime, we'll talk privately.

Re: Developing psychic ability

Funny, and here all along I'd thought that when I died, the people to greet me and help with the transition would be people who had already been there for some time...

Now to read the opposite may be true is a bit shaking.

Re: Developing psychic ability

Actually, I think they'll both be there. I remember telling my neighbor," All the people you've loved in all lifetimes will be there to greet you and at first you might not remember them". I think I was just helping him through some kind of transition or something.

Re: Developing psychic ability

Risen, I really believe these souls I encounter have no firm grasp of what happens after passing on, and they dont realize they have passed, so they arent expecting family members. I actually argue with them sometimes because they dont believe me!

Re: Developing psychic ability

Treehugger, I agree.  When people come to me to be crossed, they seem lost.  Most do not know where to go or even understand they are physically dead.  Guidance is what they are seeking and most do not want to go until their loved ones appear and welcome them to the afterlife

Re: Developing psychic ability

I've done the same, convincing those who've died that indeed they have and where to go next... my sense is that those who have no clue are the ones we'll encounter to assist.

Many have a clue upon death and we don't encounter them, you know? They're all set! smile So what I'm saying is that someone like you, Risen, will meet up with loved ones and continue on, because you're already aware of that for yourself.

Robert Monroe goes into a lot of the different "Belief Exits" or something (I can't believe I forget what he called them!) and his own experiences with assisting those transitioning, in his trilogy: "Journeys Out of The Body", "Far Journeys" and "The Ultimate Journey". Excellent reading.

seemefly & treehugger:  I saw this in the book "Seth Speaks" while I was reading it today.  Maybe you've read this already.  I found it interesting in light of your recent posts.

If you firmly believe that your consciousness is a product of your physical body, then you may attempt to cling to it. There is an order of personalities, an honorary guard, so to speak, who are ever ready to lend assistance and aid, however. Now this honorary guard is made up of people in your terms both living and dead. Those who are living in your system of reality perform these activities in an "out-of-body" experience while the physical body sleeps. They are familiar with the projection of consciousness, with the sensations involved, and they help orient those who will not be returning to the physical body.

Re: Developing psychic ability

thanks plasticportal, I guess that explains that.   Sowelu, I have read robert monroe also. I think what he was saying that if you are expecting pearly gates, thats what you'll see, if you are expecting a big heavenly garden, thats what you see, and so on.

Re: Developing psychic ability

Thanks plasticportal, for reminding me of that book. I read it about 15 years ago and I have been thinking about it a lot lately.
I was thinking  people might need to have the funeral they're expecting to feel a sense of completeness about the whole thing. It might be important to some who are crossing over. Just came to me for some reason.
