No, it's the other way around - a specific example of "mind influencing technology" leading to feeling "down and muddled". Because I didn't include back-up information in my post above, it seems I came to a hasty rationalization -- but as you'll see below, there is good reason for what I said.
Most causes of down days are mundane, usually having to do with subconscious processes, weather, chemical imbalances, dietary imbalances, astrological influences, biorhythms, what you think about or read or hear, bad dreams you've forgotten, etc...
What I said in my last post concerned the correlation between pulsed phosphenes and the condition of muddled thinking and downed emotions, not that the latter are caused ONLY by mind influencing technology. I know the difference via process of elimination.
No mundane factor can explain the pulsed phosphenes I would see sometimes preceding temporary episodes of muddled thinking and lowered emotions. Because of the unexplainable nature of this phenomenon, I did some research on the net and found out they are only caused by one thing: pulsing electric or magnetic fields. I've measured the pulse rate to range from 8 to 14 Hz, which is in the ELF range. There's plenty online about ELF waves influencing thoughts and emotions.
In regards to phosphenes, here are some excerpts from the various sources I came across:

Magnetophosphenes
An effect of time-varying magnetic fields on humans was first
described by d'Arsonval (1896) [EW: Anyone doubt there has
been some progress since 1896?] is the induction of a flicker-
ing illumination within the visual field field known as
magnetophosphenes. This phenomenon occurs as an immediate
response to stimulation by either pulsed or sinusoidal magnetic
fields with frequencies less than 100 Hz, and the effect is
completely reversible with no apparent influence on visual
acuity. The maximum visual sensitivity to sinusoidal magnetic
fields has been found at a frequency of 20 Hz in human subjects
with normal vision.

MAGNETIC FIELD EFFECTS
1. Acute Exposure
The consequences of acute exposure at high magnetic field strengths have received some attention in connection with the phenomenon of magnetic phosphenes. Most studies of the biological effects of magnetic fields, however, have involved relatively brief exposure to low-strength fields. In such instances the effects of the fields on behavior or perception are what was usually studied.
D'Arsonval first reported that a sensation of light could be produced when a magnetic field was applied to the region of the head (magnetic phosphene). Subsequently the production of magnetic phosphenes by a field of 1,000 G was reported by Thompson at 50 Hz and Dunlap at 60 Hz. Barlow et al. described the production of magnetic
phosphenes by 400-900 G at 10-90 Hz, and reported that the threshold for the effect did not change depending on whether the subject's eyes were open or shut. Recently Lovsund et al. reported the production of magnetic phosphenes by a field of 150-300 G at 10-50 Hz in 13 subjects. There are presently many unanswered questions concerning
the nature and the characteristics of the phenomenon of magnetic phosphenes. Utilizing 60 human subjects, Friedman et al demonstrated that 3 G at 0.2 Hz superimposed on a static field of 5 G significantly affected reaction time in both males and females.

My point was that the Takyon Capsule does not stop this pulsing, which makes me wonder if it does anything at all.
I've learned a meditative technique to raise my emotional state through sheer willpower -- the technique described in The Kybalion -- and in the case of pulsed phosphenes, what happens is that the pulsing increases in intensity as I do this meditation until I break through and achieve a positive emotional state, then several seconds later the pulsing suddenly stops, as though it gives up.
