Topic: What did you do when NR was down?

hey everybody!!!  really really missed u guys.  wondered what everybody "did" or was doing when we "were away."  and boy and oh boy--what's it gonna be like if/when the net ever goes down and we cant talk to each other?  man that will be bad and weird.  hate to get going on "that" again too, worrying about electricity and the grid going down and food supply, and all that crap.  ordered a catalog for tools and generators and solar panels despite.  already have a ton of solar and more, crap here, as u know, and live with an inventor, so not too worried.  more concerned when i should cash in the stocks and bonds, mutuals more than anything.  worried on that lately and always wonder what to do,  think it will come to me when the time is "right/ripe" and will be real pissed tho, if i f*ck up.  could be spending that now but the hoarding syndrome still lives on with that anyway, altho ive let go alot of the army hospital on the sideyard thing.  was gonna throw away some old comforters, again, and that started up on that shit.  "u cant do that, what about?...." and then just left it alone.  better pick up heavy and get going major on those PSI skills.  tried to put telepathic  stuff out there while we were gone but got nuthin back, other than some heavy breathing and maybe even panting from some of us that r used to going on NR everyday.  or close to it.  hate to miss much.

i bought new pots and pans, and cooked vegetables way more, as looking at meat is starting to trouble and bug me.  i keep thinking what it would feel like to be butchered, knowing u were raised to be eaten, by humans.  such giving.  feel way way bad for animals these days.  dont wanna get started on that.  had a fit when i watched that guy wring the chicken's neck in Babel.  watched that and Children of Men. liked Babel better.  love clive owen tho.  took out the dreads and put in some wild fake hair so i'd be all bushy for spring (extensions) and good to go now.  went to a party with a bunch of straight ppl and the women were complaining how they were all fat and looked bad.  i told them to get a fake tan (tanning booth--manufactures mega vitamin D, good for depression too) and get extensions, and theyd all feel much better.  (nuthin's uglier than a fat white ass).  thot some more on the "3" / trine thing "new human" with reconciliation of the shadow self, but didnt finalize it or prepare info for posts, but will.  but been thinking of it as a key.  have evidence for things in 3's.  it's big. read that once reconciliation is done with 3's, things go forward.  big progress can be made.  triad, trilogy, trinity.  feel sure of it.

missed u guys alot.   hope those 2 went on a real vacation or something like that, and had fun.  also wanted to say that NR is interestingly, referred to on some of the sites i go to.  i guess they saw us link from here, and then traced us back.  we have a reputation.  i find it fascinating, and remarkable that we're "hooked" up now, more than ever.  we're gettin around id say.   ppl are checking out our work, research, and that of tom and lyra, im sure.  changed the personal display again, found a fantastic symbol that follows from tom's thread on it.  saw it on a site and will have to track that down again.  it wouldnt shrink tho to our avatar size.  darn.  wish i could post images, but cant.  tried and tried but cant do it.  more on that another time.

so, what did u guys do or see or learn this last week or so?  feels like forever long ago, doesnt it?  or just me?  contentment is/has been nice meanwhile, yet feeling restless.  theres alot to that.  watched the last 2 deagle videos.  yep--we're gods, been sayin that all along.  call us/me elitist then, dont care.  feels like it sometimes.  having a mixed drink right now, whiskey, and smoking.  read about a some really old gurus who did all the way out.  big deal.  theres no way to live without vices.  what were once habits are now vices, to quote groucho.  he was a genius.  i read today (from gurdjeff?)  that if ur not putrefying , then ur not progressing.  ok then.  glad were all back.  missed my NR bad.

Re: What did you do when NR was down?

Hello zenden smile  I'm so glad the forum's back open for new posts; it was kind of sad not seeing any new ones this past week, but I did spend a good bit of time reading back through a lot of the older posts, so it wasn't too bad lol.  I'm glad to see you back on too big_smile It seems like you haven't been on in a while, even before NR went on vacation, at least posting anyway, and I always love reading your posts! They are always very inspiring to me.

Re: What did you do when NR was down?

That was a fun read, denizen zenden wink

Definetely better than the usual what-I-did-on-my-summer-vacation story.

I love the putrefy-to-progress one!
I don't really think of it that way as a habit, but we do start dying the moment we are born, the bast way to oppose that is to LIVE!

Do wtf ya love, don't spend a second caring what anyone else thinks.

As for me, I am doing my annual overhaul on my old Japanese horse.
Gettin ready for spring, NR's resident street shredder is eagerly awaiting the riding season......

I love it, it is very Zen, the little details.
One of these days I WILL read that book.

Hope T&C had a nice break too, the forum hasn't gone on vacation that I remember, and I know it was well deserved smile                                           J

Happy to have been a part

Re: What did you do when NR was down?

Oh, and my week has been pretty OK, but not much out of the ordinary.  I put in a lot of hours at work, but it was worth it!  (I'm a waitress, and it's high time for tourist season here.)  One thing that was kinda neat, though, was one morning when I was getting ready for work, and in the morning light I saw all these little white sparkles all around me.  I remember lyra and LipstickMystic having experiences with sparkles so I looked up their stories about them again.  I still don't know what exactly they were, but I do remember feeling exctatic when they showed up, or showed themselves, or whatever smile

Re: What did you do when NR was down?

While the forum was down I tried actually doing some READING!
Imagine that!  I bought Sun Tzu's The Art of War and got about half
way thru.  Watched the Deagle videos--wow!  What a trip!
Perfect Mind Bombs to disturb the sleep of the sheeple.

But I did miss reading everyone's posts, and I got to see just how
much I lean on NR for the latest scoops.

Re: What did you do when NR was down?

Welcome back All!  Wish everyone had a great week.

As for me, well it was very eventful. It was my birthday on the 1st of April!
That was the same day I had to leave my apartment 'cause I had no funds. wink

Now I'm spending easter weekend with family with more changes of lifestyle along the way.

ape-x I'd just like to echo what you've said about doing what you love and the not caring what others think.  This has been a major lesson for me recently as I've come to attract people in my life who tell me that my life is going in the wrong direction.  And basically one can never loose faith in oneself, because as soon as that happens, as soon as one doubts their divinity within - it opens up excuses for giving up self-power and the right to willful creation.  And doing what thou loves, well, there ain't anything better - except maybe when the doing becomes being, then love becomes sacred to the self, and to quote blind guardian again

blind guardian wrote:

And the otherworld, the otherworld.. appears

And doing a bit of research this week, the Celts called the magical world the 'otherworld', which is probably not a coincidence as their music is heavily symbolic.  And as you can tell, I've been listening to a lot of Blind Guardian over the week, and looking over some "old" threads, reborn in a new light.

Hey Zenden, I still have your poem from 2006. Some folks think it's great, some don't get it. Oh well...

Good source of survivalist stuff at beprepared.com but somehow, I'm feeling more optimistic about the way the world is going. But what do I know?

We're all butterflies flapping our wings and changing the world.

Re: What did you do when NR was down?

ur a doll nixie, a real sweetie.  been wanting to say that.  loved ur introduction way back.  and what u posted and have said.  i read some old stuff too, and so much we have said has rang true, other sites say what we say, have conjectured, intuited.  i love to see that.  that resonance.  sooo cool.  again, love to see stuff repeated, held up from other sources.  light keeps seeking its way out/in. we already knew much of what is happening on other sites, what theyre saying, wow.  love that.  keep piecing it together.  it was fun doing old reading and assessing. ur right too, didnt post much there for awhile.  ungeared up apparently.  like to hermitize every now and again.

and hey ape--just exactly what i had in mind--the "what did u do on summer vacation?" thing.  hehehe.  exactly how i was gonna title it with that in there, and laughing but got interrupted. u are upgrading and repairing?  good for spring.  i used to know a guy in my old hometown, who used to take every minute part of his harley apart, and draw a diagram thingy on his garage floor to the minutest detail, cleaning everything , every screw and bolt to a T.  whoa. i too, always look for both of u guys's posts.  ive noticed thru the last 2 years, how we are a real family on NR, and im not  family oriented, really in the traditional sense, but i adore the NR crew.  love learning and growing with this bunch. in many connotations, of the definition, of family with common goals, and understandings, we're it.  definitely a soul family, ordered familiar soul-groups.  so connected.  so comforting, leading to the contentment thing, comfort found at NR.  to see us trying to communicate in like terms. experiences.  sharing.  not like in Babel, where they all were connected and were so desperately having difficulty with that.

read the other day too, that when progress is made, to not 'tell it"--to keep it to urself.  well, dont know what to think on that and keep forgetting where i got that.  hm.  the development of self is of utter importance, and cant be done without discussing and reflecting and communication with others.  its so darn hard to put it all in words anyway, what we think, feel, have come up with, realized.  we get that.  so much is unwritten, and we meander along, yet we get it, we see whats going on, in other's minds, with the intent of what theyre trying to say.  all that is certainly comforting.  oh, yes.  we're back on. yippee.

just got this in after my other buddies just posted and to say a loving HEY HELLO, right on to my darling tom paine and starling, and natural mystic.  u have all been sorely missed.

Mystic, hope your situation becomes what you desireth.

zen, you have been an awesome contributor to this forum, and elsewhere I am sure! This is a very unique place, all walks of life and all occupations represented. There are NO molds here, this is democracy on a level our forefathers couln't have dreamed of, and it's sorely needed by those who see the erosion of poitical democracy, and whatever that ever meant in the first place....

In answer to you tho, I am upgrading, always upgrading the ride. I know when most people think of bikes they think of a Harley, that ain't my kind of ridin'  and there are so many creeds of rider. I don't fall into the 'biker' category. Bikers ride from bar to bar. I ride from knee to knee wink

I'm just an old blacksmith at heart I guess, I make my own parts, and you can see ol' yeller here- http://mysite.verizon.net/vzep1vt7/modworld/id17.html

That shot was from spring '05, had just finished fabricating the exhaust, all stainless, among the many hundred not readily apparent mods. And another facelift is pending big_smile          J

Thanks for the kind words zen and ape-x.  May all of our journeys be our highest dreams!

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost.
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken:
The crownless again shall be king.

Wow!  I just got goosebumps and buzzing all over, what a pleasant synchronicity.  I haven't thought of LoTR in quite some time, but I did earlier today in a vision.  The vision had to do with Gandalf racing onto the battlefield and his staff being a white light.  From there it was a turning point in the battle of Light and Dark.  The feeling of joy, love and freedom came over me as I burst into tears with a knowing that we have won and all shall be well.  With the work of everyone seen and unseen, all the love pouring from all over has averted disaster.

Re: What did you do when NR was down?

Well as the saying goes, absence makes the heart grow fonder.

I did lots of writing and contemplating. Finished re-reading "Intuitive Thinking as a Spiritual Path" by Rudolf Steiner, and am halfway through re-reading his other main book "An Outline of Esoteric Science." Realized that his philosophy of freedom (true freedom based on intuitive thinking) can be reworked and updated through quantum physics and timeline dynamics, and that this would form the ultimate basis of truth analysis and what the Allies of Humanity call "Knowledge." So it was a week of epiphanies for me smile

Re: What did you do when NR was down?

This break from the forum couldn't have come at a better time.  I am between jobs right now so the past 2 weeks have been the closest thing I've had to a vacation in over 3 years.  I've been doing some job hunting, and I'm still working part time, but I make my own schedule with that job.  So right now my time really feels like MY time, for the first time in a long time.  I am really enjoying being able to decide what I want to do, when I want to do it.  Not being required to show up at work at a particular time decided by someone else.  Not having to watch the clock to make sure I go to bed early enough, or get up early enough.  Just going with the flow...*sigh* I could really get used to this.  How can I hold onto this feeling while having a "regular" job...that would be quite a challenge...

I've been doing some spring cleaning, trying to get my house organized.  But every time I sit down a cat gets in my lap and holds me down to the chair.  They are powerful little hypnotists.  If I just think about getting back up they look into my eyes and say "aaahhhhhow?" in the most pitiful way.

One of my mom's cats died this week.  His health declined very suddenly, and he tested positive for FIV.  One of my first thoughts was to come here and post about it.  I didn't want to give up on him, but he died in the night at the vet's office.  He was a very sweet, affectionate kitty, not quite a year old.
