Topic: Multidimensional number system
Here's something I recieved while in twilight sleep I thought I would share to see if its anything anyone can relate to. When I awoke once a while back I realized I had been 'thinking' about our number system (0 - 9) and it's numbers' progressions from one to the next and had recieved a unique understanding of the numbers. Sometimes while in twilight sleep I will realize that I've been thinking about some things that I don't usually think about in normal waking state, sometimes its things that I don't even generally hold a capacity to understand. And at this time when I'd recieved this, I wasn't researching or reading anything about numbers at all. I've never read much at all about numerology, it just never really appealed to me.
So you have ten numbers (0 - 9), each symbol representing a dimension of existence. Each number obviously representing a single level of progression from the prior. The understanding I recieved of these numbers is that of each number existing by virtue of its building upon the foundation set by the prior number: 1 from 0, 2 from 1, etc. and how each symbol, as a representation of a dimension of existence, _requires_ its prior symbol in order to exist.
Zero being the nothing. Represented as a circle symbol, this nothing could be seen as representing a single point - the level of no dimensions. But also the level of all dimensions.
One draws a line from the point of nothing traveling in one dimension. Representing the first 'separation' from nothing, this line forms only one dimension in that there is only a single line between two points.
Two. Assuming we have already established the first dimension as a line forming the number 1. (try to envision the numbers laid over themselves) Two further expounds apon the potential inherent within the one dimension by tracing and filling in its new dimensional space of a 2D plane. (From the 1, assuming it was drawn from the top downward) Two would seem to symbolize the 'filling in' of this new 2nd dimension by starting at the top left and tracing a 'zig-zag' across and around the one, back across to the other side towards the bottom and back again. Using the one to symbolically portray the next logical sequence of dimensional reality. We now have a symbolic 2 dimensional plane perfectly perpendicular with your computer screen.
Three. Ever see those dimensional excercises where it demonstrates how the human mind is incapable of contemplating something outside of 3D? Like where it asks you what dimension one would add to the third dimension and nobody can imagine what would define a fourth spatial dimension? Because that's what we begin to get into here. Because in a 3D world where these number symbols exist there are three dimensions for direction but the symbols themselves are on a 2D medium. So what would one add to a 2 dimensional symbol of a number representing an extradimensional aspect of 2 dimensions? Three begins to be written the same as a number two except at the middle it turns back and forms a mirror reflection of itself from above to below. Three cleverly represents this extradimensional aspect in a 2D symbol by invoking the concept of symmetry or reflection and does so by mirroring the beginning of the two symbol below it on an axis of symmetry which is perpendicular to that of the one line. Here we also begin to see relations to foundational numbers other than the one immediately preceeding. So we have the three which, when drawn, also 'fills in' the 2D plane but in a new way introducing a new concept in itself.
Four. Now think of all three numbers overlayed on themselves. 1, 2, and 3 - zero being a point. And think of the paths they have layed literally and conceptually. What new direction could the 4 introduce? It begins with a one line and then continues with the slanted line again from the top - in a direction not yet traveled, yet _towards_ the end of the symmetry axis line defined by the three. Then traces this line from the opposite direction than did the symmetry axis of the three. The first symbol to use two separate straight lines, also wherein both cross each other, the four is also the first symbol not normally written in one pen stroke. I would interpret this crossing line to be symbolic of a fundamental differentiation being made between these first four numbers and the rest. The crossing line being symbolic of a blocking or end of progression. And the symbol itself would indicate there to exist more 'above' the separating line than 'below' it.
Five. Also seems to me to be making an attempt at 'filling in' the spatial gaps left by the previous numbers. Looking at it like its a capital 'S', it is more fluid but with the straight top on it, it could possibly represent a 'higher level' and the line tracing down from the top corner being representative of that which perpetuates therefrom. Also the direction in which it travels down from the top being a mirror of the direction a two travels so we have a new axis of symmetry line in the form of a one symbol which mirrors the two symbol from the five.
Six. Taking a step back from these intertwining intracacies of prior symbols we have a six beginning in the top right corner and encircling or spiraling around (counter clockwise) to seemingly encompass all of these other symbols' directional lines which I would suggest makes the first attempt at literal 'extradimensional' expression comparing with what we have prior. The six adds an unseen but specifically defined 'imaginary line' connecting the symbol with the viewer. This line travels out from the center of the symbol, out of your computer screen and straight towards you. Or is it from you _to_ the symbol?? The latter I might think.
. . . and so on and so forth.
Seven being a symbolic meld of a five's straight top and the one's simplicity.
Eight infinity. All encompasing of both 'top' and 'bottom' as well as mirror image of both.
Nine opposite of six. Spiraling out instead of in.
Sooo did I tap into the infinity of the cosmos or was it just a bad dream . . .
