Topic: Scalar energy and energy healing

After checking out Valerie Hunt's homepage (www.bioenergyfields.org), which suggests that scalar waves/energy is the source of spiritual/faith healing, which she calls "bioscalar," it spurred some remembrances of my own training in healing.

I don't understand the science of scalar waves, but Hunt described scalar as "zero-frequency," or without frequencies--that being why EM detectors don't detect it.

What was triggered was the teaching that I received in my healing training to draw only "neutral" energy from either the earth or cosmos.  At my school we worked with what we called "neutral cosmic energy."  I always interpreted the "neutral" term to mean pure or free of the charge of other consciousnesses--pure and from the source.  It never occured to me to interpret "neutral" as meaning "zero-frequency," but perhaps, that's what it means or could mean.

Also, in my Reiki training, a great deal of emphasis was put upon drawing the Reiki from the Highest Source, and setting your intention to draw the "pure stuff."  Again, zero-frequency?

Re: Scalar energy and energy healing

Many metaphysical healing and subtle energy fields employ physics terms like 'quantum' and 'scalar' with only intuitive understanding of what these terms mean, which is okay I think because both these terms deal with levels of reality beneath the Newtonian mechanistic level, but it can also be misleading if such terms give these softer subjects the appearance of being hardcore like the physics fields in which such terms are used correctly.

Tom Bearden for instance uses these terms properly, but then many metaphysics people adopt the terminology subjectively into their intuitive framework, sometimes accurately and other times not. Interpreting terms used in an intuitive context as instead having a scientific context can lead one astray. That's one of the major beefs I have with the Dan Winter material. So one has to do a lot of sorting and filtering when studying/reading such information.

Anyway, thanks for the bionergyfields.org link -- whether the "science" behind it is valid or not, if the healing works then it works. Etheric energy, subtle energy, etc... probably is some form of scalar energy, or at least patterns and oscillations in such a field that go undetectable to ordinary EM detectors.

However, scalar fields don't need to have zero frequency in order to be undetectable. They can have any frequency because what makes them scalar is that they lack the twist, compression, or gradation in the ether that ordinary EM detectors pick up. Without these distortions, scalar fields can do the macarena and EM detectors will pick up only silence.

EM detectors work something like carpenter levels, the kind with an air bubble inside a transparent tube. Put it on a tilted floor, sure it measure the tilt. Put it on a swaying boat, and it will measure the sway. But put it on a horizontal platform that oscillates up and down, and the bubble will remain centered giving no indication of movement despite the floor moving. That would be analogous to one type of scalar waves.

From what I can reason, any living being or object emits a "potential field" in which patterns and undulations exist that cannot be measured by EM detectors. This allows for energy transfer, information transfer, memory storage, and so on -- everything mainstream science says is bunk but which metaphysics, alternative science, and covert military groups are in varying degrees familiar with.

I guess the important thing to keep in mind about this is that scalar physics is first and foremost physics, meaning it has an objective basis governed by laws and equations. And despite consciousness playing a large part in how a scalar system behaves, there's danger in thinking that imagination/intuition is all there's to it, 'cause then you can enter the land of wishful thinking and fantasy that may go contrary to any objective basis to the subject of scalar fields.

Re: Scalar energy and energy healing

Thanks, man, for your reply...

I DID receive the impression from Hunt's site that she had, in some way, actually "scientifically" measured scalar waves in the way she "measured the aura" with telemetry equipment back in the 80s and 90s.  ("Infinite Mind" is a book which documents some of that).

Going over the site again, though, I see that that same level as with "Infinite Mind" of evidence isn't there.

I'm thanking you because, having a limited knowledge of physics, I often take as fact what many metaphysicians are promoting as fact (though as, while you said, they might only be using a concept intuitively or as a metaphor).

One of the bigger physics concepts I misunderstood for a while was the Uncertainty Principle by Heisenberg.  I was introduced to the concept in a book on chakras, I think, which said something to the effect of "science has proved through the Uncertainty Principle that consciousness affects energy."  ...So I was kind of disappointed when I actually read the principle in a physics-context (which says nothing about the human mind being able to push or pull quanta of energy smile )
