Topic: Request for help with Tarot reading

Good Morning All!
I have a special favor to ask from those who are experienced with Tarot readings.  I did a reading at www.tarot.com.  At first I was playing around trying to get some insight about a relationship that seems to be developing with Jason (Neo) here.  I only have a general knowledge of what the cards mean.  I could have had the site give me an interpretation for $3, but it only gives an explanation for each card, not the whole reading.  The cards seemed pretty powerful to my limited knowledge and I was hoping that you guys could help.  It was a Celtic Cross.  Here are the cards:
                                                                                    Queen of Staves
                                   4 Swords                                     High Priestess
Lovers        World       10Pentacles   Sun      King Cups
                                   4 Cups                                        King Swords
                                                                                     6 Pentacles

The card I am a little worried about is the 4 of Swords in the Higher Power position.  Not sure what that means.  When I do readings just for myself I usually get a Magician or Priestess in that spot.

Thank You So Much,
Kathy
PS.  I know there is a general tarot thread, but I have a feeling this thread might take off in different directions smile

Re: Request for help with Tarot reading

Freeme,

Ironically I just visited that same exact site yesterday!  Tried the general 5 card spread, but am still trying to make some sense of it.  Maybe after a few more tries it'll become clearer though.  Lyra knows about tarot, there's some mention of it in a prior post some time back.

Good luck smile

Thanks Manyeagles,
Did you figure out your reading yet?  Its a pretty good site.  Funny the timing of your finding it.

Re: Request for help with Tarot reading

I did a reading of my own at the same site Kathy used. Here are the results:

                                                    High Priestess
Seven of Swords | Eight of Swords | Lust | Princess of Swords | Prince of Swords
                                                    Star

Ten of Disks
Adjustment
Fortune
Seven of Disks

Not knowing anything about Tarot, I have no idea what any of this means. Can anyone here help us out with a translation? Pretty please? big_smile

Re: Request for help with Tarot reading

I asked about "my path", and this is what I got:

                                       Seven of Wands

Knight of Cups   The Fool   Nine of Cups   Two of Coins   Two of Swords

                                       Ace of Cups

The Heirophant
King of Pentacles
Knight of Swords
Five of Swords

Do you think you can get an accurate reading from the internet?  I have no idea what these cards mean, but I'm interested.

* When we start identifying wisdom with our ability to comprehend its form, what wisdom is that?
* Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
* People want platitudes, not progress.

Re: Request for help with Tarot reading

I'm still trying to figure out mine, and wondered if it would be more accurate/real if one actually touched the cards.  It didn't seem to answer my question at all.

Re: Request for help with Tarot reading

From my understanding, tarot is more of a way to exercise your creative side and intuition.  In other words the cards serve as a tool to reflect your own inner thoughts or feelings.   There is probably no such thing as an "accurate reading" except what you are able to put into it, consciously or otherwise.

On the other hand, if you're looking for divine guidance, just ask for it.  No need to muck about with cards.  If you pursue this route, though, you have to be alert  to see the answers when they appear, and patient as well.
