Re: From the David Icke headlines page

I wanted to point something out.  The cameras at the stop lights - Anyone notice them anymore?  I do.  The other day I was at a newly built stop light.  Actually let me rephrase...I was at a newly built TEMPORARY stop light that has been up for about 2 weeks now.  Some day this will be taken down so they can build a real stop light(the one built now is made with wood poles as opposed to the metal composite material they are normally built with).  What I'm saying is that they already have a camera on this newly constructed temporary stop light!  They couldn't wait, they had to get it up and running I guess.  That's weird to me seeing that only about 10 years ago they didn't have one single camera on a stop light, and then 5 years ago they only had cameras on major intersections.  Now they have cameras at EVERY SINGLE STOP LIGHT.  I was wondering if that's just here or is that happening everywhere?

The UK is the world leader in population surveillance right now. It's pretty much been used as a proving ground for that kind of technology. I'm betting that pretty soon it'll expand outwards into Europe and America.

Okay, I posted this in the wrong thread yesterday big_smile so I'm moving it here to the proper thread where it belongs:

"2000 Cameras to Watch Chicago"
http://cbs2chicago.com/topstories/local ... 23518.html

"CHICAGO (CBS 2) Mayor Daley officially opened a new city operations center Tuesday that will include a dramatic increase in camera surveillance on Chicago’s streets. The new addition to the 9-1-1 center will help manage and coordinate in response to emergencies such as a terrorist attack.."

Everything is always in response to a "terrorist attack" now.  WE ARE LIVING IN THE WORLD OF 1984.  IT IS HERE.

Another related story which is equally as disturbing:

"28,000 Texas Students Tracked Electronically"
http://www.nytimes.com/2004/11/17/techn ... sfn+lhZ3NA

SPRING, Tex. - In front of her gated apartment complex, Courtney Payne, a 9-year-old fourth grader with dark hair pulled tightly into a ponytail, exits a yellow school bus. Moments later, her movement is observed by Alan Bragg, the local police chief, standing in a windowless control room more than a mile away.

Chief Bragg is not using video surveillance. Rather, he watches an icon on a computer screen. The icon marks the spot on a map where Courtney got off the bus, and, on a larger level, it represents the latest in the convergence of technology and student security.

Hoping to prevent the loss of a child through kidnapping or more innocent circumstances, a few schools have begun monitoring student arrivals and departures using technology similar to that used to track livestock and pallets of retail shipments..."

It's scary how evil works.  Their evil technology is always presented in such subtle ways. "Hey we can track your kids so they are not harmed.  Then later on when we have you chipped we can track you as well.  We need to know where you are when we round everyone up."

These are scary but fascinating times we live in.

Re: From the David Icke headlines page

Yep. Of course that's the best way to do things - highlight the good reasons which aren't the real purpose.

I used to think surveillance equipment would be good and stop crime if it was everywhere. It would probably stop some crime, but when I thought that I also thought that governments were generally for the good of the people and now I'm far from sure of that.

Icke's news page has had some interesting stories and links recently, for those who haven't been following him.   For awhile it seemed like they were just mirroring a lot of Rense's articles but there a fair amount of unique content there at the moment ... worth checking out.
