Don't have much to say about it except... did ya know there's a Blue Moon on Sat.?

Re: Once in a Blue Moon...

About 4 or 5 years ago I think I remember there being two "blue moons" in one year --  two months within the same year where there were two full moons.   Wish I could remember the details.

Other anomalies I can think of offhand was a total solar eclipse on summer solstice of 2001, (June 21, 2001) also tying into some close Mars pass at the same exact time;  a solar eclipse during Ramadan last year, which is a rare event and which was supposed to be some omenous forshadowing; and in my own personal life, the full pink Harvest Moon last year on September 10, 2003, with the white owl that swooped by in the illuminated night sky while we were outside looking at the pink moon.  It was WILD!   Very cool!  smile smile smile

Re: Once in a Blue Moon...

Do you think interesting synchronistic occurances may happen?

Wouldn't be too surprising, given the democratic convention going on, it seems that there may be something added to the finale of the blue moon time.

Re: Once in a Blue Moon...

I don't know what significance a Blue Moon would have. It's not a special appearance, just the regularly scheduled fullness. Does it mean anything that two come in a month? I guess in the Jewish calendar with 30 day months, they don't ever get one. Now, if the moon rises full and turns blue, I'd say we have something.

Re: Once in a Blue Moon...

As I mentioned on the "Dreams" thread, moon cycles seem to correlate with turmoil on this forum and hyper-D strangeness like synchronicities, warning dreams, deja vu, mind-programming triggering, psychic/psychotronic attack.  I've been keeping notes on this stuff for the past nine months and about a month ago realized they correlated with full and new moons - and after checking further, moon perigee and apogee (when moon is closest of farthest from earth in its monthly cycle) tend to amplify the new and full moon effects.

So I made a composite chart for 2004 and 2005 of these moon cycles. Three days before and after a new/full moon is shaded on the chart, and one day before/after of perigee/apogee are also shaded. Where these shaded regions overlap are "peak" days.  Everything I have logged fits in those shaded regions.

There's another shaded region starting today and going until the 18th. Yes, there are enough shaded regions per month that something is bound to happen regardless of moon cycles, but it's uncanny that all the "clear days" on the chart corresponded with total clear days on this forum, without exception. So I think there's something to this. Let's say the charts are legit - then that means if shaded regions do correspond to hyper-D testing, the effectiveness of these challenges is automatically cut in half - either we know in advance when something will happen and thereby are not caught off guard, or the attack is shifted to a "clear" day that lacks the moon energies and is therefore not as effective. This can be pretty useful.

Here are the charts:

Each grid line is one day. First day of the month is the first blue grid line after the green one dividing the months.

Re: Once in a Blue Moon...

Just about every day I check an astrological chart of the moon, and it's helpful; however I think these charts will add a whole new dimension to the process. For one thing, perigee and apogee are seldom given in most charts, and the astrologer doing the chart has their own "spin" which is generally accurate but has their own vibe. These give an opportunity to look at the effects on the group as a whole. Having observed the moon phases for several years, I now have no doubt about the effects of the moon on many things.

On another thread, morningsun76 asked:

Can someone post a link to any good books/websites that explain the significance of the new moon and/or other similar phenomena?

I don't own any astrology books, but here are some interesting links:
