Topic: Synchronicity

Hi all,

Many have mentioned synchronistic events in their lives, and I was wondering how others inteprete them in thier lives. Perhaps the intepretation varies depending on the event. For some they are validations. For others they are a source of fear. Ultimately, i think they are linked to our subconscious needs/feelings, needing expression in our external reality. I also think that it is/can be an amusing or malevolent way of communication to us, from other entities in other realms.

To get the ball rolling, I will give an example of a synchronicity that made me aware at a very deep level that my twin brother was leaving this realm. It is a story I have shared on Cass chat, but I will give a little snippet of one part of the experience. My twin was living in South Africa, and I was in London - 6,000 miles apart. With hindsight, I am aware that at the time of my twin's crossing over, I was drawn to look at a cartoon (Dragonball Z) that was on in my house at the exact moment when the character on screen - a Bhuddha like figure was explaining to the heroes of this cartoon that they should not be upset, as he was making his "transition", and that he could help them from another "dimension". After a few other odd events that same night, i went off to bed and slept like a baby.

I was awoken by a very early morning call, and I knew who the caller was and what they were calling about before I picked up the phone. Yes, you guessed it; it was a relative telling me that my twin had crossed over in the night. Of course I realise that there are very tight psychic links between twins and siblings etc, but it was the synchronicity of getting that clear message via a cartoon that my son had left running on TV that struck me. I also had a physical sense of his union with me, free from the Aids that had wracked his body into a shell of its former self. So it was a beautiful thing, and I am well over that pain much quicker than I might have been if I had not sensed him going. Although it was AIds, we did think he'd manage to survive at east another decade or so if he wished. As it turned out, that was not his wish and everyone but me, was surprised that he had gone so soon, including the medical staff nursing him.

So that is why I say the synchronicity only made complete sense with hindsight. Back to the whole notion of synchronicities. How have they manifested for you? Have any of them been worrisome? And what about the synchronicities that bring lovers together. I know the dangers of wishful thinking on this, and that 4th density STS can have a field day hooking you up to a psychopathic "love-bite" scenario. But have any of you been drawn to the love of your life through a series of synchronistic events that when you reflect back leaves you wondering at the cosmic humour?

I also came across this article by Sound healer and psychologist Tom Kenyon on this very subject. He strikes me as a man who has married science and mystecism in practice, not just theory. Here is the link:

P.S. In passing, Ark of cassiopaea fame wrote to me, having done some "research", he found out my birth identity as opposed to the childhood nickname I use to post here. He wrote to me re-iterating that he was trying to start a "dialogue" at Noble Realms which didn't work. I didn't reply, as that would have been a circular discussion as he knows my feeling on their experiment and why I left. or more importantly why I didn't get into a justification of why I left.

So if you are interested, my birth name (after my maternal grandmother) is Vuyiswa and I am an African woman born in South Africa. Mimi is a popular nickname for little girls over there, and Nikelo is my maternal grandmothers family name. I just love/d my Gran, and will continue to use the name to post here.

chow for now,

mimi

Re: Synchronicity

I've had heaps of cool synchronistic occurances in my life but one of my favourite and most memorable is one that might have saved my life.

I was about 20 and in my 2nd year at university and living in student house. The person who owned the house was called Sarah and she lived in studio flat in the basement. She also was also a drug dealer to other students, selling mostly pot.

Anyway one friday night I'm sitting in the living room, which was on the ground floor, watching television and there was a knock at the front door. Two very dodgy looking guys, who I didn't recognise, were there asking to see Sarah. I knew they probably hadn't been round before because otherwise they would have knocked on the side-door which led straight down to the basement.

Anyway I didn't have a very good feeling about them but I didn't trust my instincts back then like I do now, so I invited them in and sent them down the stairs to the basement where Sarah was, and then carried on watching tv.

Then I heard the phone ring. There were two phones in the house, connected to the same line. One in the basement, and one upstairs right outside my bedroom door. I rarely answered the phone because 9 times out of 10 it was always for Sarah, so I just ignored it.

After it had rung for quite awhile I heard Sarah shout "Andy" really loudly from the basement, and probably more than once. And for some reason I just took that to mean "Will you answer the bloody phone!!" So I ran up the stairs and anwsered it, and it turned out to be my dad.

It turned out he was just phoning to ask whether I would be home for dinner on sunday. Now this was a bit strange because he would never normally phone me about that. It was always expected that I would be home for dinner on sundays unless I was to tell them otherwise. It was a pretty pointless phonecall that he never repeated before or since.

Anyway, after getting off the phone to my dad I went downstairs to see Sarah, and it turned out she'd just been robbed at knifepoint by the two guys that I'd let into the house (They'd left by the time I got down there).

She wasn't screaming at me to answer the phone but to come down and help her. But if I'd gone down the stairs to the basement I would have been confronted by two guys with knives who would probably have paniced and god knows what would have happened.

So by making a fairly pointless and unexpected phonecall at precisely the right time, my dad probably saved my life that evening, or at least prevented my from getting stabbed.

Re: Synchronicity

Hi Ayahuasca,

Thanks for sharing what was a very interesting and serendipitous call from your Dad . I just couldn't help but notice that where I am your posting. (UK) you post arrived at 1:11:11.

Still not sure of the significance of these type of numbers is - i suppose it means different things to different people,  but the numbers just 'sang' out to me.

I had a Synchronicity yesterday. I'll quickly share it with you.   I get some annoying Jehova Whittenesses come round my house every week who feel the need to save me,  I am always polite and never tell them that I actually feel it is them who needs "saving"!  Anyway, I decided to write them a big essay about everything wrong with their thinking.  After I finished it I went to a book store and picked out a book that looked interesting.  It was just a normal book, nothing "way out".  Anyway, the page I opened it on contained a paragraph basically saying "respect other peoples paths, respect their beliefs"  I kind of felt a twing in my intuition saying "Dale take note!" anyway A few hours later I sat on a bench in my city centre and a leaflet was laying on it.  I read it and it said something along the lines of "do not feel the need to prove your beliefs to others, all that can be asked is that you stay true to yourself, everybody walks different paths"  and at that moment I though "ah!  I think somebody is trying to tell me something!"  So I went back home and ripped up  the 6 pages that I had written for the JWs and replaced it with one paragraph simply saying "I respect your path and beliefs but please do not come round my house any more"  and that was it.  It was all that needed saying I feel.  I felt intuitivlely that I had done the correct thing.

Cheers
DALE

PS. Here is an interesting thought - our lives, this very moment right NOW, is a result of every "coincidence" from the begginning of time itself!   If your great great grandma hadn't had fallen over in that puddle that day and met your kind great great grandpa who gave her a towel to dry herself, leading to their love and passion then you wouldn't have your current life today!  You can trance it right back to the start of "time" itself!    (that is assuming things work in a one way linear fassion, but in truth I don't believe they do)
