Topic: To vote or not to vote, that is my question...

So here's the deal.  For the past few weeks, I have been racking the old 'noggin, trying to find some morsel of reason so that I may vote in good conscience.

Of course, I do not want four more years of the Shrub; however, I am hesitant to cast a ballot for Kerry.  Third parties are not an option for me because I am uniformed on their policies and beliefs. 

I live in Tennessee.  The same state that went Bush in 2000, despite the fact that this was Al Gore’s home state (he lives a couple minutes away from me).  I see no reason why this state won’t go Bush again in 2004.  In my opinion, one vote for John Kerry isn’t going to change that.  (I understand the opposing argument here...if everyone thought this way of course Bush would win.)

We have a few posts on here about how the “Powers that Be“?, namely the Rothchilds, are pro-Kerry.  Now given that these are the same men that have corrupted every nearly every institution of man since the dawn of civilization, shouldn’t that throw up a warning sign to people on this forum? 

Also, my vote isn’t going to change the fact that these candidates are just the puppets, with the real power brokers lying coyly behind the scenes.  Does it really matter which candidate is elected, since these people are going to pull their respective strings to the tune they desire anyway?

You can vote how ever you'd like.  Just don't expect the results that you are being sold by the press, but you know that already.  Many years ago I knew an older man, a disillutioned vet from WWII.  We had many interesting discussions.  One of them concerned the idea that people should all start writing in "None of the Above" for candidates.  He thought that would be fun and if enough people did it, would wake up TPTB.  Well, it probably wouldn't have an impact on TPTB, but, who knows, it could have subtle effects on the sleeping masses.

IMO by choosing to vote you prove through your action that you believe in the illusion, which can have real consequences on your path. A powerful action would be to go in the wilderness that day and completely ignore what's going on. smile Also -- don't let others make you feel guilty for "not caring". They are just repeating Matrix programming.

When I got my driver's license renewed last year, they asked me if I wanted to register to vote. My intuition immediately said "Don't bother. Your vote doesn't count. It's nothing more than a record of your political leanings used for identification purposes." This was right after they made me take my glasses off for the picture, so that they wouldn't interfere with the "face recognition software" as the lady put it. So I didn't register, and I'm not voting. I have no problem if other people want to vote, though.

One frame of mind says, once you've seen the illusion for what it is, smile and appreciate the fact that you can interact with it.  In other words, seek always to see through that which attempts to blind you from the truth.  Along the way, take it with light that you have the opportunity to enjoy this waking dream.  After all, what's the alternative?

voting is a waste of time, but if you want to you might consider libertarian michael badnarik http://badnarik.org/ you can check out his platform or whatever on the right, you can also check out the libertarian platform at http://www.lp.org/

Off the top of my head badnarik says he would get rid of the federal reserve, get rid of gun control, get rid of the war on drugs, pull all troops out of iraq and the world in general, get rid of the IRS, I think hes mentioned he'd like to withdraw from the U.N. and withdraw our support for the WTO.

Depending on where you live if you have electronic voting machines then your vote probably wont be counted, i'm gonna vote for him anyways just because I like him and he's worked really hard

You all better be careful, or Sean Penn might get on here and rip you a new one!!  wink  big_smile   You heard about what he did to Trey Parker and Matt Stone when they even so much as insinuated that people shouldn't vote!   Wrote one of his famous pages-long ditribes and chewed them a new one!   Sean Penn will get on here and kick your butts!!!!   How dare you tell people not to vote!!!!!  (edit note: that's a joke btw, for those who don't get sarcasm.....)

Yeah, by the way: if you haven't seen Team America: World Police yet, you are really missing out. I saw it last night, and it was absolutely hilarious. Definitely recommend it.

It doesn't matter if you vote or not. Don't fuss over it, anyone. If would be great though if more people voted for a third party to show their support and protest the two party duopoly. I'm voting for Michael Badnarik for that reason. I know it doesn't mean anything, but I want to protest and that seems the best way to.

I feel that participating is a form of agreement with the "system", and I can't do that.  That's truth for me, personally, although others share that conviction.
