Well, the fact is our culture makes a big deal out of January 1st, so in a way it IS a big deal, because there is a lot of psychic energy for it.
Also, it is the end of the holiday season. So it's a good opportunity to think about new works, or just getting back to it.

We need to escape matrix traps such as this Vatican gregorian calender and know in our hearts its all controlling illusinary BS. Its just now. As long as we think in terms of this is "new years day" or tuesday and the time is 4:30 pm in the year 2008 we are lost in false controlling matrix in this case put there by the vatican.

It is my hope that all people wake up this year, to the things they need to know, and act on. To be able to see beyond their Holy Books, to the Universal World that was created for all of them, no matter their color, politics, or religion. To see that the God they worship is not the real Creative Force, but a man-made deity that was made up to appease them, mostly at the point of the sword. To heal this planet, for She is wounded almost beyond repair, and She cries out for relief. To find Love in their hearts for all of humankind. Let us make this a better year for all of us.

Happy New Year to All. If that's what they're calling it then have a happy one. It's always "now" i guess but marking the equinoxes and solstices and any other arbitrary delineations really could not stand in the way of spiritual victory for any of us could it? Time has been called in different ways in different cultures at different times. I can't see we can be damaged by such arbitrariness. What are the consequenses for calling time the way we do? If we didn't delineate time periods nothing of value would get done. What would happen if all that plastic at Walmart wasn't there? Who would put the steel bit on the end of polony knobs? Who would ever stare blankly at you and request that you "have a nice day" if days didn't exist? How could time be money without a calender? How could we clock on at the nuclear power plant? It's unthinkable.

Indeed i have to know what the mass general concenus refers to as saturday and sunday for example so as not to go to work on those nows but its my heart that knows the difference or the deeper truth within me.
I am not too good at explaining stuff but i feel the gregorian calander is a deliberate turning away from nature which would be based on a 13 moon/month cycle per earths orbit and a turning to a money/time based false system and away from the all important now. Please bear in mind that millions of people actually think this is the year 2008 and not arbitrary or there by dark design. In other words the system has them by thinking the word or number is the thing itself. The 12/60 timing of the gregorian calander is an artificial system that millions think is real.
To me the gregorian calander is one of foundations of the synthetic reality we live in.

Mmmmhmmmm. You're right our calendar system sucks to say the least. And yea, an illusion too. Minus the systems of control and evil critters, it is up to us, and if we wanna make this an amazing year, then so be it, lets imagine all the greatness we can acheive with our hearts open and flowing like a river of melting snow.
