Re: Geography Game...

Well, I'm kinda proud of myself, I got 370,081
level 10
travel IQ 112.

But Spiegel, you just kick ass!

I find that I know the general location of most of the hard countries.  Europe was actually harder for me than it should have been because it was so small - try picking out Austria in a hurry!  I didn't get an Italy-heavy set, though, I think it only had Rome and Milan.  Of course with places I've never heard of in India and China, I end up just picking the middle and crossing my fingers.

Very fun!

Re: Geography Game...

I saw some clip of Carrie Underwood, an American Idol contestant, appearing on Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader.  I think the question was where in Europe is Budapest, and she said she thought Europe was a country.  Then she said she knew that wherever Budapest is they speak French.  Then she said France isn't a country.  If I were her I wouldn't open my mouth unless I was singing.  It was painfully embarrassing to watch and hard to imagine such ignorance.

Re: Geography Game...

Well that's funny, I got an the IQ of 112 which I think was down to learning South American countries in geography and my knowledge of European football, that helps me nail down places like Montenegro, Andorra and Slovakia. Capa Verde and the Battle of Trafalgar threw me off by about 2000 miles. They should do away with the countries when asking for landmarks like the leaning tower of pisa, since you can't go far wrong clicking anywhere in Italy.
