If the image changed exactly the same way each time, that would be a way to determine that the change is "artificial". If it changed in a seemingly random pattern, but consistently the same "random" pattern, that would be another artificial tell (and... for everyone who viewed it, btw). But that doesn't seem to be the case here. What I sense is that it changes with the viewer's brain shifting from right to left brain mental patterns. In other words, it's an illusion that it changes at all.

(In this last one, for instance, I have no trouble at all saying the color, not the word. But it's a little more work for me to say the word and ignore the color. Tends to indicate right brain dominant, but not to a debilitating level.)

A + B the same color?  the font is the same color, but the background they are on are not. Or am I not seeing through this illusion?

The figures in the bottle are clearly a man fondling a naked woman, from behind. He's about to grab her boobs and her hands are touching the top of his head. Does this mean I need to see a sex therapist?:P

No problem reading the colors in the last one though.

I agree about Stargate SG1, the story lines look like reading the threads from this forum.

The two shades of gray are exactly the same color.  If you have a photo-editing program or something, sample the two colors and you'll see they're values are the same.

It's only when I view it like this (and through squinted eyes, like looking at those 3D pictures) that I can see they are the same color.

It's interesting, isn't it, how a fun little thread like this can lead to such deep insights? Thank you, Sowelu, for your thoughts on fear. This was exactly what I needed to hear at this exact moment, too. And Auscastian, I can relate to what you're going through, and I hope it all works out for you.

I love the Stargate SG-1, and noticed the illusion theme, too. Good stuff.

And Blue, try as I might, I couldn't see any dolphins in that picture... smile

*heehee* Honestly, it's only children, from what I read, that can't see anything but dolphins in the jar. Everyone else over puberty (and likely a few younger) can see the other image more prominently. *heehee* I guess children have no reference for the intimate scene, or perhaps they don't see the blank space as much as they see the concrete drawings of the dolphins, not sure.

All I did was draw a (rather shaky, darn that coffee!) selection rectangle around the "B" segment in the original pic and copy it, then pasted it between "A" and "B" so you can see a little better that they are actually the same color.

Anyway, now that I've gone to the site to look at it, I just see the "noisey" screen. It seems very much like the "magic eye" images that were popular a decade ago. I could never do them either. I'd spend HOURS trying back then, to no avail. Ah well.

Oh See what you mean Sowelu so i have just left the link smile

I think the unfocused gaze you need to see the sterograms is useful as i can just about see faint aura arond my hand when i use this method and can see the millions of dancing "sperm" like things in daylight when looking at the sky using this gaze too.

For those who can't  see the doplhins in the naked man fondling the lady pic look at the womans naval/crotch area to see the tail of the dolphin, then you see the rest and all the others should come out at you.
