Topic: Sleep Talking Question

A few weeks ago, I went into my 14 year old daughter's room in the middle of the night to put some things away, as well as check up on her. While I was unloading some things on her desk, I heard her start saying something in her sleep. When I went closer and asked what's wrong, she said "Mow kash daan da". I have caught her sleep talking before, but this is the first time she has ever spoke in a different language. After asking her what that means, she looked at me, said it again, then said "it's just stuff," before falling back asleep. It may not be exactly correct, but that was the way I heard it, and how I wrote it down. So I was wondering if anyone knows what language that is from, and if so, exactly what it means.

Have you considered the Hausa language? (Hausa is one of the major languages of Nigeria) With what little I could translate and if you're correct in spelling out what you heard, it may be an exclamation of annoyance at a "dear child", or something like a loving admonishment, in that language....... or not. tongue

It could well be my imagination, but I had a whole scene pop in my mind about your daughter tapping into another or past life in the dreamstate. I saw a rather humble room in a simple house, your daughter was a mother or working female of some kind, doing some task (food prep or washing clothes?) and gently scolding a child that was being more rambunctious than she could take at the time. Heh heh... Who knows?

i sleep talk...sometimes sleep yell.  and i'm not aware of it until i'm doing it.  sometimes i move my arms or legs, like i'm acting out the dream.
it goes like this:
i'm asleep and dreaming.
something gets me riled up or frightened or annoyed. 
as i start to address whatever is causing me to get emotional i start to wake up.  more appropriately, the emotive outburst wakes me up, but i'm already in the process of saying/yelling something that by the time i wake up, it's too late. 
and as i wake up, i find that my wife is quickly (and lightly) putting her hand over my mouth telling me to "be quiet or the neighbors will think someone needs help".

usually it's just "AAAAAAARRGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!" or "JESUS, HELP ME!!!!!"(i was raised catholic, so in times of crisis i turn to jesus or god for help...at least my unconscious does) or some sort of profanity. 
loud, profanity.  i wonder what the neighbors say.
once i woke up screaming "ALIENS!!" but i don't remember the dream.
sometimes it's an intelligible sentence like "YOU THINK YOU'RE FUNNY DON'T YOU?!" or "GET THE f*ck OUT OF HERE, YOU CREEP!"

and after i'm done, i start laughing at the absurdity of it all. 
most of the time, its a conflict of sorts...in the dream.  someone is chasing me or confronting me (shadow?).

i'm 31 and my mom tells me that i've always talked/yelled in my sleep.

The "what should be" never did exist, but people keep trying to live up to it. There is no "what should be," there is only what is.

Thank you for  responding everyone-  My daughter has spoken in her dreams--well, for as long as she could speak!  And she used to talk about her past lives at age 4 or so, just as she was starting to drift off to sleep ( using terms like "jumpseat" etc. that I KNEW she hadn't heard me use!)    The other language intrigued me tho-- and I appreciate  everyone's helpful and supportive comments!  xoJ
