Earthquake and Hurricanes happen at the same time?

It seems that the recent earthquakes always seem to occur within the same 24hr - 48hr time frame as hurricanes.  The quake in Peru happened at more or less the same time as Hurricane Dean.  Also when the quake hit in Peru, it was almost at the same longitude as Hurricane Dean.

Now with the earthquakes in Jakarta, Hurricane Humberto hit in High Island, Texas.  Now get this, High Island is almost on the same latitude as Jakarta!!

Aside from that there has been a number of other events that seem to coincide with these hurricanes and quakes.  i.e. economic slumps, and Russia flexing their muscles etc.
