Topic: Experiences

Hey all,

I wanted to start a subject on what we could all find really interesting and see what experiences we have had through our lives and how those experiences have led us to what we believe today.

I'd like to start with an exp that still is in my memory very strongly today and that involves a dream (Sorry Xenopope should be on your dream page but this extends on that dream)which i woke up from one morning and felt absolutely great!
I talk to my mate straight away about this dream telling him that i was on a ski biscuit (tube with handles) behind a ski boat in my local ski area having one of the best times of my life and all day was in this great mood from this dream and that was all i remembered from this dream.

It wasnt till about a month later and my sister was having a 21st party at home so my mates and I travelled up to Perth (oz) and arrived at home to help with the prep for the party. When that was finished we got into the car and headed down to river where we indulged in a few joints between us and enjoyed the sites of the river.

We finished up and drove along the river side where i happened to look over and there was someone waving from a boat on the foreshore, i stopped and looked and noticed it was one of my mates i hadn't seen for ages. We stopped and got out and said G'day and he introduced my mates and i to his mate (which later on turned out to be my sis b friend fro 3 yrs) and then asked if we wanted to go for a ski, so we said why not!!
We jumped in the boat and headed down to the ski area where there were more people who i had'nt seen for ages. We all said our hellos and and caught up on each others lives.
"Right, who's up for a ski then"
I was the first to get up and head to the boat. I jumped on the tube and then we were off!
This guy had me flat out on this boat and i was hanging on for dear life not to get wiped out then he threw the boat into a whip and i was flying along even faster, the tube was now almost on its side then bfore i knew it i was doing a 360 in mid air and then landed with my shorts down to my ankles!!
Hanging onto this tube naked trying to pull up my shorts i finally got my shorts on and looked up and was passing the crowd on the shore.
At this point it clicked that seeing this i remembered that this was my dream being totally reinacted in real life and it just wasn't a fleeting deja vu, it happened for the next 5 mins what it seemed like and was having one of the most intense exp of my life!!
When it was over i told my mate whom i told about the dream and he was quite suprised to say the least but then nothing more was said after.
There is more but have to go but that s just one exp i have to tell!

Hi Maydovus,

I have had a few similar experiences and I know they can be very intense. The effect of living the experience itself while at the same time recalling the dream and also knowing what will happen next and on top of that it is a subjective experience that is only real to you and thus anybody you try to communicate it to will think your nuts, especially while it is happening.

Each one that I've had has come at a place in my life where I was at a level of 'peak experience' except for the very first time it happened to me. By 'peak experience', I mean a period where decisions had to be made that would alter the course of my life or the experience itself would change my view of reality. Sometimes it did not seem like a peak experience at the time it was occuring but looking back on it years later, I would realize that it was.

The very first time it happened the dream/experience was very simple, I just found myself walking down a street and had a few common interactions with other people. In a way though this does qualify as a 'peak experience' in itself because though the experience/dream was of a mundane nature, the fact that it was happening freaked me out and caused me to re-evaluate my conception of reality.

What do they mean?, well each one was different and their meanings have changed to me over time as I've progressed. In a way I've come to regard them as position markers or signposts that signify these peak experiences that help when examining or changing my belief system. I know they are very important, how so would only make sense to me, as yours to you. I wish I'd written them all down at the time.

It occurs to me that the energy of these events could be powerful enough to somehow mess with time and dimensions, exactly how?.. well I'm still working on that one...anybody?

Hi Maydofus and Stephen M,

Good points and ideas.   Maydovus....your precognition dream was pretty amazing!   Guess the experience was such a blast that it leaked "backwards" in time and you dreamed about it ahead of time to get twice the benefit and twice the fun!  big_smile   

So....personal experiences which have led us to believe what we believe.    Well, I have too many, they could fill a book.   !  Seriously.    All I know is, in a nutshell, I've experienced WAY too many unbelievable coincidences and synchronicities, as well as death defying moments where I shouldn't still be here, making me realize that reality is NOT what they're telling us it is.   What is reality??   That's the great mystery.   But something is way off here, way wrong, weird, and sometimes in a good, positive way, not always negative.    The closest things I've come across which seem to describe the situation....illusion, dream, a game.
