The two types that are difficult to witness are:
- a soul abduction, where your physical body stays asleep but your astral is whisked away in a vortical tractor beam, worked on in some other dimension, and then put back.
- physical abduction through a portal, where a wormhole through spacetime connects your bedroom to the underground base. That takes no ships hovering overhead. I think a lot of military abductions are done this way. It's essentially the same thing as teleportation.
I don't have it all figured out yet, but am pretty certain about the above two types.
Sometimes abductions (or attempted abductions) are witnessed by others. But being a witness doesn't mean others will believe you, so often these tend to go unreported. You hear about them more via personal anecdotes in correspondences.
And I think you are right, that living out in the country would make you way more susceptible to getting snatched.
If you are within physical proximity of an underground base and are physically captured and brought to the base, then some seriously tangible and devastating things can be done to you. But if you are being taken through a portal, then there are greater limitations as to what is allowed to be done. Soul abductions have even more limitations. The reason is that physical travel all happens within the same universe where the physical laws of force and causality are the rules of the game, but portals connect two universes via a bridge through hyperspace where those rules break down in favor of quantum and metaphysical laws that respond to awareness of the observer and freewill of the spirit.
The underground base must not only tune into your location in spacetime, but also your location among parallel universes. To lock on, you either have to be strongly willing to be abducted and resonating vibrationally at their level (so that despite the portal going through hyperspace, your universe and the base's universe are very close if not identical) or else you have to be unconscious so that your freewill is out of the way.
If you don't know you're being abducted, or don't remember, then it might as well never have happened, and therefore it can and does happen. That is why abductions happen most often when you sleep. If you become aware of it after-the-fact, that makes it more difficult to abduct you before-the-fact (yes, future affecting the past). Therefore cutting down on abductions involves vibrating at a level far higher than that of the abductors and their abductees (the predator-prey dynamic). It also involves becoming more aware of what has been done, what they are up to, when it will happen next, and taking pre-emptive action. And it involves staying aware as often through the day as possible. Aware, not paranoid. Paranoia, a fearful obsession with danger, draws it in. Calm strategic awareness with firm intention that you do not let it happen, that keeps it away.
