Topic: The soul of Jesus Christ.........a question

Dear Friends
kind regards
I was raised a Christian.
I really do believe in a super soul called Jesus Christ.
I came across a few articles online that state that Jesus Christ, Buddha and Hare Krishna were the same soul entity in different forms.
What do you think about this?
I think it could be true as the lives of Jesus Christ, Buddha and Hare Khrisna were certainly similar.........they seemed to preach one message.
Here is a website link that has much detail on it and information at the bottom right on the subject that I have raised in this thread.

If you could post your views on this subject A.S.A.P I'd appreciate it.
yours thankfully

Re: The soul of Jesus Christ.........a question

Many, many years ago I had a few teachers mentioning Jesus Christ was the 7th son.  Maybe they were trying to say there's other spiritual souls on the same wavelength teaching the core idealisms, do unto others, and other basic truths (spiritual) that are common demonitors with many religions.  It's just too bad that man twists religion into the same catagory as spirituality .  Examining spirutualiy: Intent seems to be the key much of the time, with of course the constant battle with ego, which oftentimes can be such a elusive trap, especially given today's decay of organized religion in general.  Seems "religion" was originally meant to convey acceptence, service to others (and that does not mean "be a good Christian doormat")  and a non-judgemental attitude-not easy indeed!

I just posted this link in another thread, but it's appropriate here as well:

Christ consciousness / Krishna consciousness .. same idea.  The symbolism is very heavy in this territory.  The so(u)lar hero motif goes back a long way.  If you find the above article interesting you might also want to dig deeper and another great read is "Gerald Massey's Lectures" which you can find online as well.

www.lightworks.com also has excellent videos by Jordan Maxwell starting with one called "The Naked Truth" which covers the sun symbolism in a fair amount of detail and does a good job of demonstrating that that virtually the entire Christian religion was plagiarized from older belief systems.

Re: The soul of Jesus Christ.........a question

I have recently developed a belief called soul reflections.  I believe that Jesus' soul can be reflected but not replicated in other people who reach certain states of enlightenment.

If you look at the basic theme of all the great teachers, whether it be Buddha or Jesus Himself, they all teach the same thing.  Love, compassion, humility, etc...

I find it funny when people refer to Christian cults, or other cults, when it is obvious that Jesus and his disciples would fit this criteria today for being a cult.  He required total discipline in the Ways He taught, as well as giving your life if required for the Cause.

Re: The soul of Jesus Christ.........a question

I can never understand how Jesus Christ can be considered a "great teacher" by some people when so much of what he taught is rejected by those same people.  Christ (the Biblical Jesus) was either what he said he was, or he was insane to insist on something untrue. He could not possibly be both wise man and madman.
A cult is more than a "total discipline"; it is better defined by its theological variances. If requiring total discipline is the mark of a cult, then med schools and mcdonald's and most jobs must be cults (I'm not saying that these examples are not cults).
I'm curious, wmhaoi, what is the "Cause" you mentioned? Giving one's life for "the Cause" isn't something I recall being in the Bible.
It seems to me that most discussion of (an historical) Jesus Christ ignores what he said, and what was written about him, in favor of speculation.

Re: The soul of Jesus Christ.........a question

I agree that our modern day Jesus is a far cry from what is contained in the Bible.

The "Cause" I mentioned is dying for what you believe in.  Jesus knew that his beliefs, while True and of the Light, would eventually lead to his death in this world due to the overwhelming forces of darkness.  Jesus died for what he believed in...ultimate love.  Love without regard to any race, creed, religion, core values...etc.   This is why he could mingle with both rich man and poor, housewife and hooker.

Hope that helps,
WMHAOI

Dear wmhaoi
kind regards
Your support for Jesus Christ is a good thing.
May I ask what your core beliefs are either religious or esoteric?

Re: The soul of Jesus Christ.........a question

As far as core beliefs go, I believe in the Father of light, His Most Holy Son (His Representative to Earth), and the Spirit which They Send Forth upon us (Spirit/Energy).  These are my beliefs.

I tie myself with no religion as I view this as a divider and not a uniter.  People are so quick to debate some minor aspect of their religion as righteous while forgetting that they are being the judge of right and wrong, and therefore, playing God.  However, I realize that, in a sense, I am judging them on this basis, but in retrospect, I do not find fault in them for it, for they are their beliefs, and they are entitled to them whether they be right or wrong.

I go simply by one motto, "Love thy neighbor as thyself."

I am a big believer in meditation, as I use this to channel my prayers to the Father of Light.

I try and follow the core themes of the Bible such as love, patience, honesty, non-judgement of others (this is definitely one of the toughest, but once you have conquered the golden rule, this element will surely follow).

Those are my core beliefs, however complicated they may sound; however, it is relatively simple to me.  I try and stay a child at heart, so instead of things being complicated, I try and simplify them.  Humility is the biggest hurdle I am trying to overcome, second only to non-judgement of others, but again, with patience and determination I believe these things are not out of the realm of my persona.

Peace and good vibes,
WMHAOI

Yes, I believe my support for Him to be a good thing, but living as He lived is the true test of belief.

I certainly agree with that!  The modern "Jesus" may be indicated in the biblical warning about "another Jesus". (Perhaps promoted by the society of jesus: the jesuits).
What really kills me are modern "christians" who recite certain verses pertaining to Jesus ("Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and ye shall be saved", etc.) without a single clue as to what they really mean.  They believe that by the ritual of repetition, they are saved.  No one is "saved" until they are safe.  Think of those who are "concerned" about your salvation, thinking they are already saved (and of course, you're not, so you need to be "converted").  They're not saved.  We are all on "the road to salvation", not there yet.  My understanding of Christ's teachings is that we are to follow him, practice as he preached, do as he did.  Most importantly, to love one another, to love others even more than ourselves, and to forgive others, as it is stated that we will not be forgiven if we do not first forgive.  The expectation is to be "conformed to the image of Christ".
