Topic: Princess Diana Concert

I had it on in the background while doing other stuff around the house and P. Diddy was working the crowd at Wembley Stadium and he said something like "It's been 10 years since Diana went to a better place. Tonight we celebrate her rebirth!"

what the...?

It just seemed like a really out of place thing to say. It actually made me sit up and pay attention to the television for once. That and it seemed like a regular loosh party.

Re: Princess Diana Concert

That is a really weird thing to say.   Where's Goro Adachi when you need him to analyze this nonsense??  big_smile

You know what's weird (and it's only weird for me in my little boxed in world so others probably won't care) but yesterday afternoon I was sorting through donated books at my volunteer gig and came across a photo book about Diana.  It was done after her death, and was kind of like a review of her life from childhood to the funeral, and included quotes from people who knew her and then some text narration.  I'm not an anglophile, and have no interest in the royals, but there I was, sitting down on the floor cross legged, flipping through the entire book from start to finish. And then flipping through it some more after finishing.  Then I put it back in the box, finished my work and went home.  Only to log onto the 'net after getting home and seeing all this stuff about some big Diana concert, and how it was the day before her birthday as we approach the 10 year anniversary of her death in August, etc. etc. and so on.

It was just really weird to me.  I haven't ever come across a Diana book crossing my path like that, let alone the same day some big shindig was happening in her honor, broadcast around the world.   Weird!  It was like the time I felt compelled to buy that Elvis CD at Starbucks in Ft. Lauderdale, which had apparently been on display with other CDs for weeks/months before that, and it turns out I was buying it on the exact day of the 50th anniversary of Elvis' first recording.  That left me going "hanh??  what are the odds!"  Considering I really know nothing about Elvis and have never really listened to his stuff.

The Diana book was a bit weirder though....

Re: Princess Diana Concert

I also had the concert on in the background. I missed P Doody tho' as the whole thing went on for ages.
It went on for so long that by the time the big guns were coming on with their crowd pleasing sing-alongs, I sat down in front of the box and started feeling the hypnotic trance taking place. Once Rod Stewart started singing Sailing (a perfect song if ever there was one) and all the hands started swaying in the air, I was hooked. I felt a genuine emotion and connection to what was going on and started worshipping at the altar of the Goddess Diana. I had to walk away after that and get a grip on reality.

I could see how easy it is to get hooked into the whole group consciousness thing. Throughout the 7 or so hours of the concert they broadcast footage and images of Diana and by the end I was feeling the intensity of the sadness at her loss which I never went through before. I have nothing against Diana - quite the opposite but I should not have this emotional connection especially ten years after her death.
Am I this easy to manipulate in full awareness? It sure demonstrates the shear vibrational power of music
I just wish it could be turned to the power of good so we could watch certain individuals and things squirm a bit.

I now find myself rather strangely drawn to the eye of Sauron (Pictus). Help.

Re: Princess Diana Concert

In the wake of this incident I've started researching the connections between hip-hop and shamanism and occult practices. Yes it sounds nuts but there are definate parallels. Things like the self-mythologising, the use of alternate names, the beats used etc etc. Really the more things change the more they stay the same.

Yeah, the whole Diana concert really felt like this weird worship event. It wasn't hard at all to transpose the event back a couple of thousand years on top of a religious day. I was in that weird kind of half trance too (though aware of it because I remember distrinctly wanting to hear what P. Diddy said for some reason) and when he said that I just totally snapped out of it because the alarm bells went off. I snapped out of it partly because of what he said but also because it was him that said it. It came as a surprise that such a sub-par hip-hop/rnb performer came out with that statement. A real third eye opener.

...the only response I felt to that Diana concert was "ick.". A bunch of pods worshipping at the cult of 'pretty lady'....that feces gives me the royal shivers.

Re: Princess Diana Concert

Other than the creepiness of the OTO parade, I was shocked that Prince William's 25 word speech had to be read from an index card. Gee, I wonder if he got a pass at Eton.?

Don't forget all the loosh that is gathered from these events.

Re: Princess Diana Concert

Talking about loosh, think about the energy fiesta at Live Earth (7/7/7).

Psychoprctor, could you point me to some links/ books that describe this relationship?  My husband is putting together a presentation about the relationship between music and gang activity, and along the way he'll show how music has always played a part in movements.  I think adding the technical stuff about beats, etc., could really bring depth to it-- maybe open some eyes.

Thank you Shadow Between -  ... I didn't watch any of it - .... too icky!!!! The world is nuts! ... if 'they' really did kill Diana, isn't it weird how they can pull off and organize such an extravaganza and have half the world ( well more!) mesmerized by it ...
