She has her books for sale on her site, but then again, so do I. So does Montalk. So do a lot of people. Other than that, her energy alert information is free. She has a donation button, but again...so do a lot of people. Nothing wrong with that. But it's not mandatory to pay to access her material, unlike other websites out there where you can tell it really is all about making a buck off of people. And she does promote her pet charity causes, so her site isn't completely devoted to herself and getting $$ only for her. People may want to give " 'er " money, and it's really not in anybody's place to tell people what to do. It's one thing to vocalize a concern about the fact that she has books for sale and a donation button - you're entitled to that opinion, and others here may agree or diagree with you - but flat out telling people what to do based on what is or isn't right for you, or what you would or wouldn't do is not mature. There are probably quite a few people who felt that they've benefitted enough from her free energy alerts that they'd like to donate something to her for her time and effort. Everybody's going to be different.
Where I stand on the "making money on spirtuality" thing is that there's nothing wrong with charging for a book - so long as it's reasonable. Some books are overpriced for their content and usefullness, in my opinion. And asking for donations is perfectly fine, as people are then giving you what they feel is fair. But then sometimes you see some websites charging for stuff that seems ludicrous, or making the entire site "pay only" for access, which is also a bit
To me, anyway. Depends on what the material is though I guess - some might be worth pay-only access, but a lot probably isn't. It's all about fair balance, and Karen's site seems balanced in that regard. Again, to me anyway. And anytime you see a website host yelling and whining at their reading audience that they're not getting enough monetary donations? More ridiculous. I've seen that though, both a male and female website host, but I won't name any names.
It's immature. Nobody's obligated to donate on a free site and if a webhost can't accept that then they shouldn't be running a free site. So that's another thing to keep in mind when gauging the integrity of a web host who's selling spirituality.
Like I said, I don't get any bad feelings about Karen, she doesn't come across like she's trying to scam people and take advantage of their hopeful naivete. You can tell she sincerely believes what she's writing. Now whether it's correct and accurate is another story, but she herself seems to be sincere.
