Re: A run in with the Thought Police.....

ShineOn - wow, what a creepy experience. Especially how she threatened to "make things difficult" for your grandchildren. Very unnerving. Just shows what happens if you try to fight against the system even just a little, doesn't it?

Ayahuasca - one of my parents lives in London, and the other lives in the South-West (near Devon!) so I've had experience of living in both regions. Energetically, they're completely different. London has a vibrant, buzzing feel to it which is fun for a while, but I can't stand it for too long - I find it too stifling, too claustrophobic. The South-West has a far more relaxed, heavy energy which makes me sleepy, but like you said, there's a strong sense of freedom here. Anyway, I hope things work out for you if you go ahead and move to "the Illuminati capital of the world" big_smile

Re: A run in with the Thought Police.....

This thread kind of depresses me but I'm not in the least surprised. I barely completed high school because of issues like the above. Fortunately most of the time I had teachers that were a little out of the mold and were supportive of my individuality (at least outside of class). The last nail in the coffin for my belief in the educational system was when going from a B+ average in English I wrote a creative writing piece that was a little left of centre and got an F-, second last in the grade (the last kid didn't do it at all), got a warning on my marking sheet ("Totally inappropriate, a copy of this has been put in your file for future reference!), and was made an example of during year assembly. In all fairness the story was a little risque however I then got copies of the 3 top ranking stories and found they were written in EXACTLY the same style - the "I am Jack's [name a body part/object]" style. Hooray for creative writing!!

That being said, I was a stand up comedian and writer for a couple of years and am now working on my first novel. Take that errrrr...whoever!
