Topic: Man-hating revenge-minded feminist wackos

Im getting tired of this really..women these days wanting revenge for some sort of belief that men have "oppressed them for so long" under their brutal power and that hating men and portraying men as evil and corrupt in movies, etc. merely makes up for thousands of years of injustice against the perfect, do no harm female...tired of it...they feel entitled these days because theyve been told that men are evil and have oppressed them for so long and that the evil male is just not as good as them.

oavada, no offense to you but please do some research men have and do oppress women. It is obvious that you aren't female so you don't understand this at all. I recommend reading the book The Second Sex to gain a better understanding. Women are the poorest people on the planet and in many places they still don't have the right to do anything without the permisson of their father or husband. Do I need to quote the rape and domestic abuse rates worldwide as well? I could go on and on but than I would be sounding like one of those men hating feminist you can't stand. The facts are the facts whether or not they reflect well on men or not. If men are tired of women complaining they should treat them better.

oavada, I don't hate men. And believe me I could considering what I suffered under the hands of the men in my family. I'm bigger than that. You on the other hand are not and I'm sorry for you. I really hope you are very young or going through a difficult period in your life because if this is your general attitude I don't know what kind of a future you have.

oavada, I think in this case you need to look a little harder at the causes rather than the distilled results. Unless you realize that  the western woman has been under assault spiritually and mentally since Trotskyite Betty Freidan wrote the Feminine Mystique then their behavior will continue to confound you. A better understanding of their journey and the shitty detours they've been coersed to take is essential.

The imbalance of power has for so long been skewed in favour of men, it's quite understandable that women have open or repressed mistrust/hostility towards the male sex. Misogyny is still prevalent in the world today too, it's not just men who are the poor innocent victims here! Try to look at things from a woman's point of view. Rape, exploitation, genital mutilation, other forms of abuse & oppression... surely you are aware that these things are still going on in the world today? If you can't see that, oavada, you are really letting your male pride get in the way of the facts.

I personally find many of the "feminist" viewpoints a little extreme (although it's totally wrong to assert that all feminists are man-haters), and there's no doubt that TPTB have corrupted/influenced the feminist movement to suit their own agenda, BUT I do believe that women & men are of equal value and both genders should be appreciated for their different attributes, with neither sex dominant over the other. And by the way, you shouldn't have too much trouble finding a woman who "likes & appreciates men". There are plenty of us around. wink

yeah, youre right i think.....i just feel women these days seem to be on some sort of hyper-power kick where they cant be submissive for one second lest they be humiliated by the sadistic male tyrant..i know some women, especially women in other countries (non-european) that enjoy being submissive, staying at home, etc..they enjoy being submissive playthings, and men love them for that, because they're women. Men DONT like high-powered, business minded professional women. I dont, and i know from other forums that most men dont...most men want some cute, submissive 24 year old girl that they dont have to compete with constantly...and studies show men in positions of power prefer waitresses, bartenders, etc.- servants...submissive women. Men want a cute, submissive playgirl they can have fun with  that is happy being taken care of...they dont want some overbearing, domineering, competitive manwoman that merely contends with them for control every second...but hey, more power to these women i guess...its just not my cup of tea...its like asking your wife to go out and kill all the deer while you stay in the village and wait for her to come home...really, really bizarre.

I don't support the attitude that oavada has displayed here in this thread, but will contribute to the topic and stay out of the sideline bruhaha.  wink   Lester Burnham (Kevin Spacey) is trapped in a loveless marriage with a shrill, power hungry control freak ice queen real estate agent who's all about her career, and is always dominating Lester and treating him like an inept child.   The crux of the movie centers on Lester's "mid-life crisis" if you want to call it that - it's more like waking up and shaking off 20 years of fog - and how he quits his corporate career and gets a fast food job, smokes pot, and lusts after his daughter's teenage friend - who's young, sweet, vulnerable but seductive, very girly and feminine, not the shrill domineering corporate ice queen with the power career.

I dont think oavada began by displaying a bad attitude at all.  Just pointing out some modern facts of life.  The responses became polarised immediately into a men Vs women polemic with no-one hearing each other. Perhaps you just have to be a man to understand where he is coming from and hear him.  And a woman to understand women.  It shouldn't have to be that way but it seems to be like that eveywhere... even at NR.  Nice try oavada.  smile

He is obviously suffering personally from the popular onslaught of men hating [which nobody acknowledged except to say it was deserved]...  He had his hands in his pockets, he kicks a pebble and tells us of his personal affront.  He gets a fully polarised reply which he knows has not adressed what he said at all and responds with what he thought it was worth.

He was told his attitude sucked in very short order and from there it was downhill all the way.

well, when i wrote it i knew some boy hero would respond like hes the man and thats exactly what ol Tom did here...i really could care less anyway....this country ie the U.S.  sold us all out in god knows how many ways and this is just another example.....................belljar, ie miss tori amos, seemingly so "underground" in her views, regurgitates whats shes fed by liberal media- ie. that men are a bunch of scums and women are absolutely flawless...shes gets this from NBC, CBS, Hollywood consistently...she is the prototype for every victimized, man-hating anti-depressant sniffing wacko that im talking about..... ive been the nicest guy in the world to women and they continue to insist consistently that im sort of asshole rapist war mongering womanizing prick..ive had enough PSYCHOS in my life!!
