Benjamin Franklin's links to occult secret societies have long been known. In the clip below, the History Channel talks about his involvement in the Hellfire Club, a secret society that conducted black masses and orgies These bizarre, occult practices are still going on today in secret societies like the Bohemian club (Alex Jones infilitrated the Bohemian Grove and caught one of their rituals on tape -- click here to go see the video).

In 1998, workmen restoring Franklin's London home dug up the remains of six children and four adults hidden below the home. The London Times reported on February 11, 1998:

"Initial estimates are that the bones are about 200 years old and were buried at the time Franklin was living in the house, which was his home from 1757 to 1762, and from 1764 to 1775. Most of the bones show signs of having been dissected, sawn or cut. One skull has been drilled with several holes. Paul Knapman, the Westminster Coroner, said yesterday: "I cannot totally discount the possibility of a crime. There is still a possibility that I may have to hold an inquest."

WORKMEN have dug up the remains of ten bodies hidden beneath the former London home of Benjamin Franklin, the founding father of American independence.

The remains of four adults and six children were discovered during the  £1.9 million restoration of Franklin's home at 36 Craven Street, close to Trafalgar Square. Researchers believe that there could be more bodies buried beneath the basement kitchens.

Many won't believe this but it does come from the history channel, and bodies were found beneath his home.  Supposedly the satanic hellfire club is the one where they have to break all 10 commandments in a weekend as an initiation. Sick people...

Not sure about this one....David Icke mentions the bodies found buried in Franklin's old home too, but even at the time I heard about it I was like, "Naaaaa....something's not right here...it's not what it seems to be....."

Franklin was a bit of a "mad scientist", remember.   He had his fingers in EVERYTHING, inventing stuff, experimenting, etc.  Very very intelligent man.   Montalk theorized jokingly that for all we know, he exhumed dead corpses to work on.   Could be the case.   And he wouldn't be the first to do that back then in those times.  If somebody wanted to learn about anatomy and biology back then but wasn't a doctor with access to "donated bodies", then where to go?  Stealing corpses.    But who knows though.

As far as the "hellfire club" is concerned, do they have proof of this?

Yeah, people used to believe artists were possessed by the devil, too. How else could they do these magical wonders, was their ignorant peroration. This could ooze over to anyone thought of as brilliant or mad, any discoverer. People without even an inkling had to have a way to make themselves feel better about not having thought it up themselves.

As a former occultist I've never heard of a group that breaks the 10 commandments over a weekend and definately not attached to the Hellfire Club. Very little is known about the going-on's of that particular group which makes fertile ground for the imagination. Judging by the people involved though, I doubt it was half as serious as most people would like to make it out to be. I suspect it was a platform for some rebellious blasphemy and maybe some debauchary but hardly blood sacrifices or anything of that nature.

I don't buy the story.
Franklin certainly got on well with the ladies, it is reported.
And from what I've read about the Hellfire Club, is that they were
really into sex magick or tantric practices.  Which was enough to get you
possibly burned at the stake if word got around. 
But whether Franklin was involved with that particular club, we don't know.
Being an occultist, he certainly knew a lot about the dynamics of sex and
what one could do with that knowledge.  Being a high degree Mason made
him privy to a lot of things that the "normals" never dream of.
It sounds like someone is trying to discredit him or link him to some
supposed satanic practices.  Many practices in the occult could be called
satanic by the illiterati.

I actually like Ben Franklin.   He wrote some very dry, witty and downright funny pieces, which surprised me when I read them.  Did you know that the rest of the founders refused to let him help draft the Constitution because they were convinced he would put jokes in it?

The Friends of Benjamin Franklin House (the organization responsible for the restoration of Franklin's house at 36 Craven Street in London) note that the bones were likely placed there by William Hewson, who lived in the house for 2 years and who had built a small anatomy school at the back of the house. They note that while Franklin likely knew what Hewson was doing, he probably did not participate in any dissections because he was much more of a physicist than a medical man. [25]

Franklin was a hedonist not a satanist ...  Franklin was a deist but did not subscribe to any religious dogma and supported all religions in order to encourage the multiculturalism of the new nation ...  Franklin even commented about how at a certain pulpit in Philadelphia all religions were welcome, even the Mohammedans would be welcome to preach ...
