Topic: sacred geometry

i once watched a tsarion lecture on symbolism(bloody waste of time).  he briefly mentions sacred geometry and how the corporations design our homes and furniture to be "un natural", or just "incorrect".  he says its one of the reason babies cry at night, and it causes "nightmares".  he recommended building your own beds if possible.

would anybody know of some good ratios or even specific measurements for said construction.  im talking......hypothetically if i had a friend who wanted to build his own dwelling in the woods, complete with a nice size bed(for a tall male), a table or two, and a bookshelf.

any help would be appreciated whether it be a link, book recommend, or just your personal opinion on sacred geometry(even if its not applicable here)

thx, pick

pardon my fear, friend

Re: sacred geometry

I'm confused his work is a waste of time but you want to follow it? That doesn't make any sense to me. I've always found him to be very interesting and well informed.

Re: sacred geometry

sorry to offend belljar;  i was saying that the particular video was a waste of time.  and the thing he mentions about sacred geometry was very brief in a long video about corporate symbols.  i like his stuff, and even the way he looks and his voice, but i dont know much about him.

and thanks pamelajean.  i guess theres a lot to learn.  im even going to start experimenting with the furniture in my bedroom smile.

also, are there any specific books you recommend?  i like big books smile

Re: sacred geometry

now that i think about it, one shape he mentioned was a cigarette box.  i dont remember exactly what he said, but it was something to the effect that it just felt good to hold a cigarette box.  any insight on this type of thing?  maybe i should make a bed like a big cigarette box big_smile

pardon my fear, friend

Re: sacred geometry

You'd probably never want to leave it if you did that. big_smile Have you seen Dr. Fred Bell's bed pyramids?

I would suggest reading up on Ergonomics, Feng Shui "Placement" (totally different than from conventional Feng Shui techniques), spatial energetics and alignment of subtle energies within environments.

Or modern environmental space design. I worked in a Feng Shui store and I think that you are referring to the difference between the knick-knack-tassles-frogs-coins Feng Shui and the geomantic roots of Feng Shui which are true space awareness and a type of irrigation and environmental design science. The decorative school of Feng Shui is superstitious hooey IMO and the space awareness school if very valuable if you don't take the feudal-lord philosophy of early Feng Shui along with the space harmony study.

and:

Beds on the ground keep people grounded and energetically bonded with the earth. Feng Shui conditions.

However, I always heard people say that you should have chi circulating on all sides of the bed and underneath as well, i.e., you would not want the sides of the bed buttressed on a wall (but do want a headboard to "ground") and you'd want the bed elevated from the ground to allow chi to circulate underneath. There are so many schools of thought, though.lala

This is certainly not the case in China where fish, frogs, plants, coins, tassels, etc.. have great influence and are extremely effective because people "believe" in what they represent and they "believe" to be effective.  Also, please do not negate the practitioner's "intent" which can be very effective because he/she "believes" it so.  Esoteric Black Hat is magic, but real magic which loves, respects and honors Chi.  It is not the only valid approach, but it truly spiritual.

Yes, I know I was around people practicing Black Hat Feng Shui. It was a very high-end gig with people flying to China and such to study with Grand Masters. I found a lot of the practices-making wealth jars and mirrors everywhere and chimes and all that to yes, be magic, and since it used the spiritual plane, yes spiritual, but I found that a lot of what people wanted from it was magic charms to make their lives better (richer, mate, etc.) without doing any of the inner work to change themselves.-lala
