Topic: Wild Oregano Oil - Super Duper Cure for Bugs, Viruses
Hi Guys,
I just wanted to quickly share a health-oriented tip for you that really works.
Whenever I am fighting off a cold, flu, or any virus or bacterial illness, I tend to use echinacea as a short-term immune booster (take the liquid tincture form, about a dropper full twice a day) and I also use colloidal silver (take a dropper full twice a day.) Each is really good at going after different bugs and viruses. But they don't work on everything.
Case in point. This past week my honey came down very rapidly (very quick onset) with a bronchitis type of bug. And while we dosed him up with the above things, neither did much good for him and he still manifested the full form hacking sneezing stuff bronchitis is infamous for. He went to his doctor and got a short-term round of powerful antibiotics, which knocked it out.
I knew that I'd be fighting off the bug and realized that sometimes echinacea and colloidal silver are only useful right BEFORE you get sick, at the very early stages of a cold or a flu. Usually you can take them after you come down with something and still minimize the length and severity of the illness. But whatever my honey came down with was very resistant to these remedies.
Then I finally remembered wild oregano essential oil. Wild oregano oil is an extremely powerful essential oil with a strong, menthol type of smell and taste. This is an oil that is proven to kill a huge variety of bugs (both viruses and bacteria) on contact. To the extent that if you spray it in the air in a sick room at a hospital, it kills the germs in the air itself. Supposedly it's one of those oils that if you diffuse it in the air of your home it will fight hardcore stuff like bubonic plague or bird flu or whatever the killer disease of the moment is.
Taken internally, it is a WHAM BAM solution to a lot of contagious things like flus and bronchitis. I had completely forgotten about it.
You have to be very careful when taking it. It is strong and noxious smelling and tasting and you don't want to take too much of it. You can buy it at a health food store - you're looking for "Wild Mediterranean Oregano Oil." It will come with a dropper in the bottle. Measure out TWO DROPS ONLY into a glass of water (you could also drink it with another drink to better disguise the taste.) More drops is really too strong and can send you into a detox process where you don't feel so good. But two drops is just perfect. (This is for an adult of average to big size. If you are extremely petite and thin you might want to go with one drop.)
Drink this once a day when you feel a bug or a cold or a flu coming on. I like to do it for at least three days straight to make sure whatever I'm fighting off is truly GONE. But you can take it for up to a week. Longer is a bit too strong on the system.
The wild oregano stopped this bug in its tracks and I didn't get sick even though my honey was hacking all over me every night with some major projectile mucus!
(Lovely, I know!)
So I wanted to share that with you. You can also use wild oregano oil as a general immune system booster or detoxification herb, but I don't like to use too much of it because I worry that it's just TOO powerful if you're not really sick.
Obviously, read up and do your research, etc. and yada yada insert medical disclaimer here and don't sue me for offering this anecdotal advice. ![]()
Okay, that's my tip for the day! Go and be healthy.

PS During this time I could feel my body ALMOST come down with the bronchitis and then when I went on the wild oregano it was like it sucked it out of my system and dried it up. I forgot how truly amazing this stuff is. I've used it in the past but for some reason haven't thought to use it in the last year or so and have just stuck to colloidal silver and echinacea, which unfortunately can't fight off everything.
