Topic: Where do creative thoughts come from?

I hope you ALL will choose to share your thoughts on this one.  If we are ONE, then this is worth your time and focus.

Re: Where do creative thoughts come from?

My theory (and it's just a theory, mind you) has two parts.

1:  that creative thoughts are constantly swimming around us in the ether or astral, depending on how you look at it.   They're like radio signals.  The person with the mind in tune with and most open to those thoughts receives them.  This would work especially where inventions and advances would be concerned.

2:  creative thoughts are incubated within the fertile darkness of the subconscious mind, and are synthesized/ assembled within the conscious mind.

Of course, it can always be a combination of the two.

Re: Where do creative thoughts come from?

I was actually thinking a while back that what makes us individual is creativity.  That is why the hive mind is crushing all creativity and individuality, trying to make us all think as one.  The concept was much clearer in my head a couple weeks ago.  I think creativity is something that comes from the essence of your soul.

"...But Nothing is Lost:" "Nothing lasts... nothing lasts. Everything is changing into something else. Nothing's wrong. Nothing is wrong. Everything is on track. William Blake said nothing is lost and I believe that we all move on." - Terrence McKenna - Shpongle - But Nothing Is Lost

Re: Where do creative thoughts come from?

Ever write poetry? For me, it's a dance (you got it, titmouse_) between my conscious and unconscious, playing back and forth with ideas, suggestions, emotions, all kinds of stuff. Most from "below" really, sometimes from "me" (ego?). I think there's more when important, world-changing discoveries are involved.

starling thinks he can rhyme
present shining words sublime
listeners throw eggs
and everyone begs
"Why don't you learn how to mime!"

We're all butterflies flapping our wings and changing the world.

Re: Where do creative thoughts come from?

Steiner's insights tell us that ahrimanic elementals inspire inventors to create technical creations, inventions, etc.
when we are in a hazy state of mind, often ideas for inventions pop up in our head.

So instead of having a lot of Goethes, we have a lot of Edisons (or at best, Teslas).

That fits in with the first half of my theory.  I was actually thinking along the lines of technical stuff, inventions, etc.

And like Capitan said, the ones that spring forth from our inherently creative subconscious minds are beyond control, so they're to be feared and squashed at all costs (according to the hive mind).

Re: Where do creative thoughts come from?

I think creativity comes from The Divine Source, originally, and is first passed on to us in our dreams, on the astral plane. There have been many inventions that have occured in different parts of the world, simultaneously, sparking disputes over who first had the idea.
Maybe we are subject to creative ideas all the time in our dreams, but rarely do we pick up on them, or have the passion and ability to manifest them. Or maybe, if you have the passion and ability, you are then led to that level of the astral plane where the creative idea is being touted.  'This is an idea who's time had come' is a popular expression, and you can't help wondering, (especially with the speed that technology has moved in the last few decades), if all these creative ideas are part of the Divine Plan /Ahriman Plan. 'They are ready for this idea now, let's publish it'.

Re: Where do creative thoughts come from?

Man, creative thoughts don't come from anywhere... you think them, so they come from you.. I can't imagine anything or any thought for that matter that isn't creative, although some of us more than others do like to regard most things as rather sterile, dull, and unemotional.

Uncreativity has a source, creativity just *is*.

nothing is sacred, the deconstructing and letting-be of all things, clarity of sight, the realization of no-thing(s), Nothing

Yeah, but where am *I*?  I don't mean that to sound like I'm ready to pass the joint around, but really-- where are we, and where does our consciousness reside?  Is there any difference between my thoughts and yours or those coming from outside sources when you get down to it?

Re: Where do creative thoughts come from?

All thoughts are little packets of energy...created by the mind.  Like seeds they reproduce after their own kind.  They blossom and bring forth fruit..  From whence do these creative thoughts originate?   You will know by their vibration.  If not you will know by their fruit.

On a more macrocosmic level,  but still close to home,  the Ascended Masters have opened  the doors of the etheric retreats to souls who are ready.  Millions.  Those retreats exist in the etheric planes above physical locations on the earth.  Lake Titicaka is one of those places.  There are several others over the North American continent,  Luxor Egypt,  Arabia,  Himalayas,  and several others throughout the world.   In the distant past, many of these retreats were anchored in the physical plane during golden ages.  The ultimate culture prevailed where divine ideas were manifest everywhere.  Creative thought sprang from the well of the Divine Mother within a majority of the people and manifested as a beautiful culture full of inspiration.  Those divine 'citizens' walked the walk in communion with the inner Self and their spiritual teachers.  But by and by these retreats were withdrawn from the earth plane.  The people in those times gradually fell into a lower state of conciousness and slowly turned their backs on their spiritual teachers.

So the law demanded that karma be their teacher and the Adepts withdrew.  And the focuses of light were withdrawn...  some to mountain fastnesses, some to etheric planes.  This happened to each in their time over a very long period.  The forces of division and strife had thrust their dark wedges into every area of life including science and religion [which were in harmony during the peaks of golden ages] until eventually great cataclysms destroyed the lands completely.  Atlantis was the most recent upheaval over 10,000 years BC.     Americans are those Atlanteans returning and some are bringing forth inventions from the Atlantean experience.  Many are bringing forth inspired literature, poetry, art, healing arts, medical discoveries[the good ones], breakthroughs in  psychological thought,  parenting,  systems and ways of doing things which serve the human and soul needs in everyone.  And lets not forget the personal breakthroughs in many areas of our own lives.   A lot of this creative thought is being inspired in us by visiting the inner retreats in the etheric octave as we sleep.  It is then remembered  in "dreams" and is filtering through from the inner/higher Self into our outer conciousness during waking hours as inspiration and guidance.  All this is the basis for a golden age to return to earth in America and the world.

At the same time, the most recalcitrant Atlantean souls,  who caused the degradation of Atlantean culture and the wholesale destruction of society are also returning to embodiment in modern America....  Rebels who acknowlege no higher law, bar their own will,  people who believe they own their fellow travellers.  Where do their 'creative' thoughts' come from?  I think we've got a pretty good idea about that.  Our society in the physical plane is supposed to be the foundation of the pyramid of our life... upon which we can support each other as we rise in conciousness.    If that foundation is destroyed how can the edifice rise?    Creative thought is emanating from the all seeing eye which is again re-appearing in ourselves.  But how can it re-appear in society as a whole as it was in past golden ages?  The black hats say it can't and it must not.  We have to say that it will and prove it within ourselves, the true point of connection to the All God.

Re: Where do creative thoughts come from?

One take on this is that you could see reality as a film, with the frames being the "on" moments and the in-between as the "off" moment.  In each "off" moment we are ideally in a receptive state for new ideas, but the "on" moment is where the idea actually manifests in conscious reality.  Thing is, because our reality "framerate" is so fast we see it all as a steady stream of "on", not realizing all the in-between moments where ideas are being conceived/received.
