Re: My Search for a New Last Name

Lately I've been thinking about name origins. Considering that there is a good possibility that I'll be travelling to other countries in the future, I'd like a name that is rather difficult to decipher the origin of. In other words, something that won't attach me to any one culture in case that a name from that culture becomes dangerous to have. We've seen this happen in certain historical events...

Re: My Search for a New Last Name

With all due respect to the Talmud and Homer Simpson, your name is just an identifier, like your social security number; it's not you. If you change your SS# are you different? If you change the name of a computer program does it run differently? You are an unquantifiable extension of the infinite, so no name can adequately represent what you are.

Thank you starling for that view. I am an "unquantifiable extension of the infinite", cool As are you.

I used to consider changing my last name until I met Vithporn Superdock. The notion seemed to dissolve thereafter.
