Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin (Russian: ????? ??????????? ????????, Jurij Aleksejevi? Gagarin;) March 9, 1934 – March 27, 1968), Hero of the Soviet Union, was a Soviet cosmonaut who on April 12, 1961 became the first person in space and the first person to orbit the Earth.

I just have been noticing the use of aliens in so many commercials & advertisements these days.  Then I saw the aliens on the google logo and I was like oh boy not another.  What significance is there?  I'm not sure.

Well, micheal Tsarion notes that the "E" is often "stylized"; or altered in some way to be different then the rest of the letters in the word, and there just happens to be aliens on the "E". (Aliens ON the Earth?)

Also just noticed that the "e" in google is always tilted by like 5-10(?) degrees...
