Topic: Lord Maitreya

I heard some so-called prophet on Coast to Coast the other night, and he mentioned Maitreya as the Antichrist. Which reminded me, I'd like to have a discussion on here about that character.

I first heard of Maitreya ("The World Teacher") a couple of years ago when his charismatic prophet, Benjamen Creme came through my city. For weeks before his lecture there were posters everywhere. I don't think I've seen anything promoted so heavily. He had an appearance on Coast to Coast around this time, but I missed it.

Anyway, it certainly looked interesting so I went to the lecture. Basically Maitreya is supposed to be THE CHRIST and is in fact a different entity than Jesus. Maitreya 'overshadowed' Jesus, who was at the time not yet a master. Anyway, Maitreya is back this time with his own body, which he made up in the Himalayas 30 years ago. He lives in London now, and at any time he's gonna come out and teach the world how to solve all its problems.

Benjamen Creme, the emissary for this Maitreya character spoke for about two hours. He was extremely entertaining and pleasant. He was the perfect ideal of a kindly, intelligent old man that one might look up to and was very clever. I was very moved by the presentation, and a little excited about it. At the end he was 'overshadowed' first by Sai Baba (who Creme said is from another place in the galaxy, and is here just to observe and help out a bit) and then by Maitreya himself. During these overshadowings he stood and did a very slow motion butoh-ish dance posture thing. It was really cool to see because it is a skill that I myself have and never have seen anyone else do. It was also very powerful, and I could feel and see the energy although I was less sensitive to these things back then. Sai Baba did indeed seem like an alien, though he was very obscured, i could only see his outline, like a solar eclipse.

A few days later Creme was to host a 'transmission meditation.' This is the cult's spiritual practice. Basically they sit together and meditate, calling upon the 'Masters' to use their energy for what are said to be benevolent purposes. There were almost a hundred people in this room, arranged in rows of chairs with the women and men on opposite sides of the room. I didn't like to be split from my companion who was female, but I went alone with it. There was a strange looking pyramid in a glass box in the room, connected to two wires that went to the last person on each side of the room. We were to hold hands to complete the circuit and conduct the energy. It started off with a charming speech by our friend Creme, then he took his central spot between the male and female sections where he was to be overshadowed by the Lord Maitreya who would conduct the evenings meditations himself!

I had been optimistically curious about this whole thing since I saw the lecture, but right when Lord Maitreya entered I knew the game was off for me. I didn't really feel much, except a tingling sort of danger. Like a gut feeling on the surface of my skin. The room was darkened and I could 'see' this Maitreya hovering where Creme sat. He was very dark and serious looking, not at all what would think of as Christlike. He looked a bit like the Darth Vader character in "Space Balls", but just a silhouette.  Yesterday I saw some bits of the film 'Brazil' and he actually looked very much like the demon the knight fights. Reminds me of what Abraman looks like. Not good.

I didn't want to disturb everybody, so I sat there trying as hard as I could to be unmeditative and f*ck up the energy work without drawing attention to myself. Eventually I just got bored of it and grabbed my creeped-out friend and got the hell out of there!



Well, there is more to discuss, but I guess I'll leave that up to you guys. This may turn out to be very intresting topic over the next years... or this Creme could just be another charismatic cult leader.

I've had a few run-ins with cult types, and got that same creeped-out feeling you had.  Interestingly enough, it was a Maitreya Sanga (sp?) conference where I first ran into a serious bunch of these folks.  The group that held this conference was into that DK and Annie Besant crap, and the "leader" claimed to have been given a chest of Besant's unpublished books, along with her permission to carry on her work.  What a load of crap.  The rituals lasted for HOURS and hours, which would effectively render anyone a zombie by the time they were done.  Fortunately for me, someone kept farting near where I was sitting during the only event I attended, and that kept me and the people near me laughing too hard to be affected by it.:lol:

Did your companion notice anything strange or get that feeling?

People who are part of these types of groups will use all kinds of attempted mind control to pull you back in.  As long as you're aware of what's going on, it can be kind of interesting to watch the manipulative tactics, both psychological and energetic.  Did anyone attempt to approach you or stop you from leaving? 

This is very scary stuff, seeing that this Maitreya can really be seen and felt.  My etheric vision wasn't highly developed back then, but I sure felt a sinister presence.  It made me lightheaded and sleepy.

I used to listen to CtoC, back before I decided Art Bell was a total shill, I remember Kathleen Keating giving dire warnings about even hearing Creme's voice. She said many times "do not listen to this man" pertaining to Art's interview with Creme. I still don't know what to make of it all, I never did hear him speak, and that was due to schedule on my part- not Kathleen's warnings.

But, you said you got a bad vibe quick when Maitreya was present, can you elaborate on that some more Mencius?

I think my position on this is the same as with Nostradamus or Cayce, ya they might have some useful  insight, but ultimately.. who is in control of one's own destiny?

I believe less and less in external influence, and am relying much more on my own instinct to lead the way. It seems to be another way of giving one's own power away to someone who may know no better than we do ourselves. And of course it must be asked, where are they getting their information? There are just so many ways to be misled, out of self doubt, ignorance, or low esteem, or all of them.                                                J

I like your description of trying to be "un-meditative", because as a kid being dragged to Jehovah's Witness' meetings, I never sang along with all the songs that they sing, and would try and not focus on everyone else in the room who was doing it. It would always give me "creepy" feelings just being there, really.

A whole room full of people pouring massive intent/energy into ritual structure? no thanks roll

So I have also been looking inward for answers or understanding, instead of searching for external support. In the end, it's my thoughts against all the others anyway.

Very interesting story... thanks for posting it.  I think it's awesome that you were conscious enough to try and throw off the energy in that super strange 'transmission meditation'.... and really incredible that you could actually see that dark entity! 

The male and female seperation reminds me of the ritual in "chuch" ceremonies held by a recent cult-like group in which I got tangled up in with an ex-boyfriend who was trying to become a 'preacher' for a group founded by a man called 'Ahnsahnghong' who claimed to be the second coming of christ, and now organized by a former lover of 'Ahnsahnghong' called 'Mother Jerelselum' or 'Mother God'.  Woooo that was quite the run-on sentence.... you get the point though.  There are several groups that have living founders who are currently making similar claims... the ones I ran into when researching this group were often times founded in Korea, the 'Mooneyhams' are just one I can remember but a little just a little bit of research will turn up an unbelievable number of 'THE CHRISTS'. 

I did actually study with this one ('WMSCOG') group for a bit.  That's a longer story than I'll tell, but I will say that every one of the 'leaders' I met from this chruch were also very charismatic, friendly, and overly welcoming.  It was uncomfortable but in a strange, backwards way.  The vibe of the group is unlike I've ever experienced in any church before.  Besides an alarming majority of the members revolving almost all of the time around chruch services and activites.... the fake, uber eager, lets-be-best-friends-sister-prances vibe all those kids  (and yes, in this particular group there were maybe 4 members over the age of 30.... most of the members were 18-20) were so happy to eat dinner in the church kitchen every night and just be overjoyed to spend all there time either in chruch or going door to door preaching.  It was like they were all taking the same freaky drug, I kid you not.  Now in all fairness, these drugged lil sheeple had a pretty good vibe, as people they were all real likeable, but they might as well have all been walking around with their eyes doing the hypnotized-spiral.  Right off the bat if these guys come to your door you can see how their selective studies to translate certain scriptures combined with their inabilty to answer almost any simple, basic questions until you are sufficiently brainwashed are typical religious mind control tactics.  I can't speak for all of these cults cause I sure won't be stupid enough to study with these types again, but my experience makes me doubt any of these salesmen-style prophets are any different from the next.

I could give plenty more details about this particular group, so feel free to ask me more or a google search will show you loads of info on families posting about "losing their kids" to this crap.  I know the individual I knew had done a complete 180 against his family, friends, career, and life supposedly in the name of this god.  Its really scary topic when you realize how deep and lost so many people have become when it comes to this sort of thing.

In light of the recent revival of the WIH thread, I've got to add that... first of all if you haven't read this you need to check it out.  I ran into this material at the perfect time, right when I first started being pressured to open up to this WMSCOG group.  I had a synchronistic confirmation about a lot of the information discussed in the book regarding the afterlife.  It started about 2 months prior to any of this when I had a friend die.  Then a week after I read WIH I saw my former friends sister.  She told me they had gone to a psychic medium to try and talk to my friend, and the information that she told them really went a long a lot of the same lines as theocratic bands they mention in the book.  Without going on too much more.. my friend said things like 'Death isn't like they tell you it is/isn't all white horses and chariots/it's more like star wars/my friend was with her grandma but she wouldnt trust god and the angels/said its like a nightmare'.. it went on and on but ultimately it proved to be a valid confirmation for me.     

Now my experiences (to touch on what Lono said) were these people defintely tried to 'get their hooks in' any way they could.  Of course my ex being the instrument of choice here.... but several abnoxious members of the chuch got my number and called my phone serveral times before eventually getting the hint.  I still get text messages from the one guy trying to get me involved with him and that whole mess again but the overall bulk of it was about a 3 month mind f*ck.  Well I guess after all that I just can't think of another word for it.  Actually I could go on and on ... (you noticed, didn't you!) but I'll cut it short here.  It was quite a learning experience for me to really see people mixed up in this though!

Their site (shareinternational. something) gives me the creeps.. not that it's spooky but it gives of some weird energy. I saw some dutch members once promoting their stuff on a big outdoor book market and they also gave of some weird and predatory energy..

Lono, your guy farting reminds me that at the transmission meditation i attended there was a really obnoxious guy right behind me making the most grotesque noises throughout the whole thing. He made it very difficult to concentrate, and for a while I was annoyed by him because I wanted to participate and see where the thing went.

It took me a bit to really get a focus on the creepy vibes. I went into the thing with a positive attitude about it, because I was indeed moved by Creme's speech. But it wasn't hard to stop deluding myself based on hopeful expectations and to see what there really was for me to see. The vibe was very dark and murky, yet highly charged. Kind of like loud bass notes you can barely hear, or even feel. But certainly there. Like a black light that filled in all the places only shadows reach in my being. A kind of illumination, yes, but not a positive illumination. It registered on my dark, shadowy, hidden places. My light body was not directly affected, though it was sort of pulled by the dark areas, like a black hole was forming.

Meanwhile creme sat there occasionally saying things like, "batauyama buddha number six..." and strange astral shapes would appear, like those symbols the golden dawn used to initiate astral travel.

my companion didn't really notice it, besides being creeped out. She was a much more earth-bound sort of person than me, though. smile

In regards to Lord Maitreya, Maitreya is in Buddha Lore and Prophecy the final Buddha that is to come to the world to enlighten all of it's inhabitants. It was this idea in the 1960's which graded the attention of many Westners in the European countries; it never got that "hip" in the United States. This was due to the influence of Christianity; however many wavering Christian's of the late 1960's found comfort in the Buddhist Lore and Prophecy of Lord Maitreya. It is around this time in the 1960's that we saw Buddhism taking root in the United States (that's also why many individuals were referring to Buddhism as: "Buddhist Cults") Many Christian Americans were trying to supplement a small part of Buddhism as a substitute for the whole of Christianity. However, it is because of the impact that the Buddhist Lore and Prophecy had on United States of one individual would come to enlighten all, that the beginning implements of Televangelism in the coming of Jesus, would take place.

People just need to remember the old joke, which really isn't so much of a joke, but anyways: "There is this priest, who in all of his worry travels to the Vatican to personally go see the Pope on the one day the Pope does the confession booth. To make a long story short, the priest goes into the confession booth and says: father, please forgive me, for I have sin... The Pope says: my child tell me what this sin is, so that all may be repented and forgiven. The priest says: Your holiness in all my years of serving the church I have be spiritually trying to find myself, but in all that time I have come to only one conclusion, I no longer believe there is no G-d and I can no longer give sermons to the people any longer; your holiness what am I to do...? The Pope replies: do what everyone else does, fake it.

The vast majority of people in the United States do not believe in G-d, they are only scared into believing in him and it’s called the “blind faith persona”. The only true G-d of the United States is this green paper which most people have in there wallets, if but for only a short period of time and then have to give it back to the ones who made it to begin with. We don’t just sublimely worship this green colored toilet paper as much as we sublimely worship the one’s who make this green colored toilet paper. It’s true people do follow their governments above their religions and that is just a plain fact. People are as dumb and as smart as their government so allows to be bestowed. “G-d is dead, long live G-d!” this is what we should be putting on the dollar bill, instead of “In G-d we Trust”; because, after all who are we really trusting in…?

I think I remember reading somehing about Sai Baba being a charlatan and also something to do with him having several wives or something very unspiritual like that, so if he was linked up with Maitreya and Creme that's a one point against them right there.

I was talking with my Aunt the other day about these sort of New Age seminars. She had been part of Silva Mind Method for a few years. Anyone here familiar with that? Anyway, she and I were talking about how it was a really creepy organization with a lot of pyramid symbology around it. It also had connections to the Esalen Institute, and for her, had resulted in lots of strange lucid dreams and psychic experiences thereafter.

I don't know, I think a lot of these organized groups are usualyy infiltrated by intelligence agencies once they get too big or are acutally started by the agencies themselves. You shouldn't have to pay money or join a group to reach enlightenment.

Shoogie, what's so unspiritual about having multiple wives? If one's spiritual evolution is on course to 'becoming' a star that supports multiple planets, wouldn't having many wives be good training spiritually, mentally, and physically?

Yes, someone named 'Maitreya' is supposed to be the final buddha. I wouldn't be surprised if this Maitreya I met is indeed that figure... but who made this prophesy? Buddha himself? I kind of doubt it... I didn't think he was the prophetic type. I would be it's one of those demonically tinged tibetan sects, if I may be so bold as to make an assumption like that. I wonder if anyone knows about this...

If the Sai Baba you're talking about is Sathya Sai Baba, he has already been exposed as a false guru. He's notorious for sexually abusing his students.

I'm hardly a follower of Amitakh Stanford, but I did read something on her site once which stated that Lord Maitreya is in fact an evil being named Ikluk. Who knows where she gets her information from though.
