Topic: Contracts of Life

I was watching the Suze Orman show on CNBC early this morning, shes a kick ass lady who teaches people how to invest & use their money efficiently.  While watching it struck me how we all make unconcious contracts in life through our thoughts. 

Everything is a contract!  Coming to this forum & posting is a contract we all have made.  This forum now owns a part of us. We signed an agreement and signed up to this forum.  It's a contract. 

Computers/Internets own so much of us these days.  Were basically feeding this digital beast by spending so much time online with them.  Were making them larger then life.   A good part of the world now spends more time online then outside with mother earth.   Were making the future into a robotic digital world that will most likely control viciously over us ..all because now we depend on Computers for everything!  Think about that!

We all make so many contracts & agreements.  Even non-verbal or written ones.  Look in your refrigerator I bet you've been eating the same food over & over again for years now.  You've made a contract with those foods probabaly since you were younger, they own a part of you!  You've allowed them too!   What would happen if you break that contract?  You'd go thru mad detox of those foods to wash out the cravings & the emotional memory of why you really enjoyed eating them. Why do you think you keep eating the same foods over & over again all of your life?  Is it really because they taste good?
No... it's because you've built this contract with them...you depend on them like a drug...

We makes contracts through our senses.  Hear, Taste, See, Smell....There's so many little contracts we have made!  It amazes me.  Time to declare some of my own personal contracts Null & Void.

It's good to become aware of the thousands of contracts we've made, but we shouldn't be alarmed that we've made them.  It's a matter of making conscious choices, contracts with intentionality behind them.

Like you pointed out, we've all made a decision to be here.  That's a contract I'm willing to uphold and honor  because it's brought me a good return on my investment, so to speak.  I've also made a contract with my animals, that in exchange for sharing my life and my home, I will feed them, keep them healthy, do what I can to make them happy, etc.  I take this contract very seriously.  All they have to do is lounge around, looking cute and soft.  That's their end of the contract. smile

This reminds me of cord-cutting exercises.  The idea is that we build etheric cords or strands with everything we contact.  This contact can be mental, emotional, or physical, but it's a connection we may not even be aware of.  Cutting these cords or strands periodically allows us to build new ones with conscious intention and let go of the ones that no longer serve us.

But a lot of contracts are made against our own will sometimes.  Alien/Military Abductions/Sexual Assault.  That's what really scares me.  Or perhaps we planned for it to happen? to learn from it?

I think you might be overextending the idea a little bit.  A contract is an agreement between two parties; I don't think things you eat or smell really qualify.

If it's made against your will, it's not a valid contract.    If you're under somebody else's control when you agreed to something then it is a freewill violation and you're not liable for it.     It's a simple concept and if you stick to the basic principles you'll be less easily led astray by ideas designed to confuse and distract you.

But as that old guy said in one of the Matrix movies, and I'm paraphrasing here, "You can shut all the  machines down, but what happens to our air, our food, our water...our life?"
I think that through greater awareness, one shall truly begin to begin the process of reconciliation with all the beings one has encountered through all the sojourns through this dense plane. Freeing yourself from history is the ultimate task, but only through learning from ones mistakes does this process become feasible. It's easy to get bogged down with all the shit that's going on, but I think it's important to remember that you can never truly "lose" your energy. Forgiveness is that ultimate tool in that it says "All is forgiven, but you're still gonna have to experience the repurcussions of ones actions...of responsibility."
It's easy to get stuck in the past, but I think the greatest task comes in integrating your experiences so that you may free yourself from negative posibilities, or timelines. It's a dynamic system, whereby on onehand, there is complete forgiveness, where you are assured you won't "lose" any energy  you have, while on the other hand, you still have to pick up from where you left off.

This isn't directed at SamIAm or anyone in particular, just thoughts I had.

From Etymonline.com

Contract 
c.1315, from L. contractus, pp. of contrahere "to draw together," metaphorically, "to make a bargain," from com- "together" + trahere "to draw" (see tract (1)).

A contract is simply a drawing together of things.   "In the beginning", wink, The Father (spirit) and the Mother (matter) came together to create the child (creation).  The child draws itself together by further refining of the orignal matter into living matter, plants, animals, sentient beings, etc.  As this progresses over an unfathomable "time" (really only the "now" moment) we/you/I eventually becomes the creator once again through unification of self with other selves, I and It.   

The supreme contract that overrides them all is the one we/you/I made as the creator to create a creation made of and through itself so it could experience separation and reunite in a unique way.  It was a choice, THE choice to understand ourselves through finity. By choosing finity we sacrifice unity for separation and the promise of a "new beginning".    Everything else follows from that original thought.  As an individuated fragment of the creator it is your right through free will to choose among which "contracts" work best for you and which don't, according to your polarity and level of awareness ("spiritual density"). 

Another smaller (than the original choice) yet no less important choice was the one made as a soul to inarnate within this reality of physical existence and the temporary "limitation" that it brings.  This choice necessitates the experience of life/death, exposure to the elements in a "solid" way, joy/pain, and so many other factors that when seen from the bottom up (inside the illusion) seem like cruel and unusual punishment.  Seen from the top down (outside the illusion) it all makes sense.  Perhaps a pre-incarnative choice was made for a particular entity to be the "victim" of abduction or other gross violations of personal freedom for a chance to experience that nasty side of things in order to build enough catalyst to make the "better" choice.  It's also possible that these are just byproducts of say choosing to incarnate as a higher soul into a lower realm for the sake of helping others wake up to the illusion.  This choice alone brings with it a whole host of "dark" variables due to the positive nature of such a mission and the results it can produce if carried out succesfully.

So sure you made contracts to eat and drink and shit and piss and sleep and wake and all the rest that may seem useless or limiting.  But they are all equally important and valued because the come from that original choice to experience finity, and resenting the material world for its seeming  "limitations" creates more division between you as the one within the many, prolonging the return to love and light (and I mean that in the most objective, non new-agey way possible) that is your origin and essence.  Constantly realizing and reintegrating that prime contract between yourself as the creator and its creation will tend to have the effect of cancelling those contracts (through renewed/strengthened will) which no longer serve you and at the same time will help to forge new ones with the creator/creation as a whole, bringing you closer to unity, the destiny of the fragmented selves.
