Topic: V the series.

Anyone remember this mini-series. When the alien dudes face gets ripped off in the series, I seem to remember that it caused some kind of commotion. Which was quickly remedied with a TV guide cover story(the next day) about the "make-up FX". Kinda strange now that I think about it.

Re: V the series.

Yes I do Gman, it has been talked about a lot here in various threads. It was 1984, and I remember one of the characters was played by Robert Englund, before he went on to playing Freddie from the Nightmare on Elm Street movies. I think that V miniseries had more of an effect on my mind than I would have realized at the time
(I was 11 years old), it's been 23 years since it was televised, and I vividly remember some scenes as if I'd watched it last week!     Amazon.com has a few DVD sets available, just search V the series, think I will get a copy........                                                                   J

Happy to have been a part

Re: V the series.

I have the five "VHS tape" set that I am offering for circulation to the members of NR.  I'll send it to the first member that wants to see it and then they can send it to the next person that wants to see it.  When the first person finishes watching it they can post on this thread that they are offering it to the next.  Or members can simply sign up to be next whenever they come across this thread.  Remember, you must have a tape player or converter to watch it.

The set consists of the first series (2 tapes) and the final battle (3 tapes).

Who wants it first?
