Re: Let's Simplify Things: All Opinions Welcomed

i suppose that the state of the world being good or bad depends on what side of the fence you stand on.  if you think it's good, then you are probably a war-loving, greedy monster from the depths of hell that wants to see humans enslaved.  otherwise, you are probably as troubled as i am.  my girlfriend is constantly going on and on about the facts that no one cares about anyone else but themselves, no one cares about beauty (true beauty, not superficial hollywood/madison ave. beauty) or art or sincerity.  and i agree with her, except about the part about selfishness; i think that being selfish can be a good thing, if you are focusing on improving your self spiritually and not just about your physical self (buying stuff, having tons of stuff).
the problem, or at least one of them, is the matter of religion.  it is religious ideologies that are driving the current state of affairs in the world.  if the USA was really a Xian, god loving, good loving nation, then we wouldn't be focused on revenge and vengeance in the guise of liberation; we would be focusing on the poor nations that are ravaged by diseases (that we could cure) and poverty (that we could end).  or at least focus on its own people and building our country up to be a true example for the world to follow, not a bully that goes around giving smaller nations guns then turning around and declaring war on them.  and then turning around and telling the people of the USA that those people are evil.  the jesus that we supposedly believe in (i don't know what to believe so i keep an open mind) would be appalled at the things that are being done and said in his name.
and at the end of the day, the big 3 religions (xianity, judaism, islam) are all the same and grew from the same roots.

another problem is the media and its influence.  people don't care about their neighbor but they sure as hell "have to" know what paris hilton is up to and what kind of clothes the celebrities are wearing to the academy awards.  they "have to" watch certain television programs, or else they won't know what "everybody" is talking about the next day.  to know about the celebrities is to belong.  to know the current fads is to belong.  we all want to belong, i don't dispute that, but look at what people choose to belong to.  they choose to belong to churches that take their money and give back guilt.  organizations that accept you, provided that you are of the proper race, religion, sex, follow the "right" sports team, listen to the "right" music, vote for the "right" candidate, believe in the "right" ways...
we need to lose the outdated superstitious religion that keeps us from progressing.  outdated political ideologies that serve only the elite.  we need to turn our backs on the vapid media screaming at us from every platform.
but that's just the beginning.
what happens the day after the revolution ends?
where do we go from there?

The "what should be" never did exist, but people keep trying to live up to it. There is no "what should be," there is only what is.

No, samiam, you must read hundreds of books.

Re: Let's Simplify Things: All Opinions Welcomed

Well, according to mythology, there was a great basin that was filled with light. Unfortunately, a foolish monkey removed a plug in the bottom, letting forth the abyss into our realm.
Lipstick Mystic said in more modern terms that there was an inter-universal breach from the anti-matter universe that corrupted a good deal of angels, resulting in "fallen angels" (who are capable of being redeemed) and highly negative beings (who are beyond any scope of redemption.)
Extending this thought, it seems that a great deal of humans and other beings are currently spiritually injured to some degree, all arising from a foolish use of power. This breach has caused significant harm across all of creation, and particularly Earth seems to be one of the hardest places hit.
And some of us have incarnated here as a "rescue team", to go forth into this dense realm to heal and help those who have been injured. There's just so many ways one can go about doing this, that ultimately it comes down to asking yourself "What is the greatest thing I could be doing with my life?", figuring it out, then going directly for it. Sure, we can give you opinions and tips, but ultimately it's you that knows what you need to do. With time, the situation will arise when you're called forth. With intent, you will heed the call. With perserverence, you will continue along the path you have chosen to embark upon.
I think that this saga of battles between the forces of light (STO) and darkness (STS) has been going on for quite some time...beyond human conception as it sways  back and forth throughout all of Creation. Yet, if I'm not mistaken, Earth constitutes a world currently in flux, where both sides are putting forth all their efforts to win the battle, and stem or give rise to the tide of darkness that has swept throughout our Universe.
Just watch out for the thugs that patrol the waters of true being.

"Don't eat any wooden nickels."

Re: Let's Simplify Things: All Opinions Welcomed

I suppose it depends on your point of view. If we are just human beans, completely in control our of our own destiny, not obstructed by hidden, dark forces, then the first thing we need to do is to displace all corrupt government and dictatorial powers and replace them with leaders that actually represent the views of the people (which, with the power of the internet) has become easier to do.

That should be relatively easy to do (in terms of elected governemnt) by means of democratic process, however, believing that hidden, dark forces do not exist is the greatest mistake that mankind has made. The greatest trick that the Devil ever pulled, was convincing the world that he did not exist.

It is hard enough for me alone to battle through life to find a grain of truth in any walk of life. If I have been on a spiritual path for over 20 years, how much harder will it be to change the ways of the general consensus of the public, who think sprituality is a myth.? Truth is, we are all caught in the Matrix of deceipt, and even those that are waking up, keep getting slugged back to sleep by constant onslaught. If , at the very best, can't maintain an equilbrium, sufficent to enage and convert the public opinion, under such hostile pressure, what hope is there?

Well,, the hope is the 'One Hundredth Monkey effect'. You just have to keep battling on, no matter how hopeless, no matter how hard it gets.

Luckily, the Cavalry is coming in, - if you listen, you can hear the old familiar trumpet call.

This Cavalry will kick ass like no Cavalry has ever done. Via Energy waves that we can barely comprehend.

Stand firm, strengthen your resolve, and do nothing. The battle is won.

Forget all the conspiracy theories, all the fear inducing tactics (unless of course you want to spend an eternity being food for demons), concentrate on The Now. Armageddon is for those that choose it. Choose life. Make a difference. Stand up and say 'No more'.

If they kill you, you do not die. We are infinite, multi dimensional beings. Death is just an upgrade.

Whatever you see in the coming weeks, months and years, do not be afraid. It is all illusion.

I am not afraid of death. I openly welcome it.  No bullshit intended here, I, here and now,  openly call upon any God present to terminate my life here and now.

I am not afraid. Of death. Of Galactic Tsunamis. Of Aliens, Gray, or reptlian, instectoid, whatever. Neither of Osmai bin Liner, George Dubyu, Iran, China, Russia, Vitenam, Britney Spears, etc.

Re: Let's Simplify Things: All Opinions Welcomed

My time is short this post will be brief.

Right and wrong as used above are subjective.  There is no "wrong" path, but you may travel in either direction, or not travel at all.  The experience of all includes a 'duality' we are all familiar with.  It is portrayed everywhere, especially movies etc.  In truth the duality is within oneness.  Resistance to the other side, as most of you no doubt gravitate towards one side, is the aspect that creates discontentment.  It's a little like being quite unhappy with one's appearance, which in turn due to the unhappiness, causes one's appearance to diminish in apparent beauty.

Find contentment within.

As Blue has pointed out, there is nothing to fear.

Knowledge increases awareness.  Take care that it does not hurt you or change you in a way you do not wish for.  An example is bitterness.  Gather knowledge to protect and help others.  Not all wish to be helped.  Let them be, for one day they may ask for help, and on that day you will be able to help, and will not have lost any willingness to do so.

For Blue - Illusion yes, but real also, all is thought.

Love is Knowledge is Light

Re: Let's Simplify Things: All Opinions Welcomed

In the beginning we were one
Then after, we could say "I"
One day one of the "I" had an idea: "we could be more than  I's  in a "one", we can just be "I's" "

That threw our conscious out of the one
From that day, all our energy is aimed to re-create that one with illusions

When actually we're still one

Is that simple enough;)

Re: Let's Simplify Things: All Opinions Welcomed

Adama, That was beautiful.  Very Allen Watts.  I'm just wondering if we couldn't replace in your response the word "we" with the word "I" and the word "we" with the word "I".  ??

Maybe that's what you were saying all along.  Let me add this:....I am we and we are all this.

Does that make sense to you?

I happen to like the Cassiopean explanation "...but remember, all there is is lessons"  We are all here to learn, and some are here to teach.  Things are not "off track" as lessons are being learned.  Those of us that are fed up here, it is our time to advance to the next level, or maybe to help others that are ready to graduate but just haven't been awakened to the realization that there is a graduation.  It is not our job  to force a change, but to put things in place so that change may happen.  If you have come to this site or others like it, then it most likely is time for you to graduate.  But regardless you have eternity to learn these lessons, so no rush.

If by off track, you mean that there is too much negativity in this place for your liking my only suggestion there is to bring positivity to this world through your actions.  Piece by piece we can change our realities for the better.

Re: Let's Simplify Things: All Opinions Welcomed

"you must read hundreds of books" wink

No, billions (like Carl Sagan says it) and billions

We can read every book ever written- still we'll have only one-trillionth of one degree of the knowledge of consciousness...

Knowledge really is useless in the here and now, or 'future' lives, no matter how smart and/or "enlightened" we may become, it's the same game, same cubicle, same cage.

I CAN NOT and will not believe we were put here to deny ourselves. We were NOT put here to pour over volumes of this and that, so that we might someday acheive a tangible version of some distant fantastic horizon.

No, it's here -inside.

From the classic "Clerks"

Randal: "title does not dictate behavior"

That may be the single most overlooked snippet of wisdom- of all time.

It's true, yes? Yet even some of us, who have seen  outside this lame 2D world that has been passed off to us as being 3, are still somehow unable to shake off the
concern, the paranoia, and the ritual of blending in.

That's what it seems like to me- just ritual. We've all had those rare moments where we have let our true rage come out, where we have ignored the consequences of what we knew would follow, because we just KNEW it had to come out. For that matter I think some loosh is better gotten rid of.

Those are the moments when "title does not dictate behavior" Now I'm not saying..... go on a rampage, no- but
leaving that comfort zone is like the final frontier, to speak the unspoken, to read the unwritten, to savor completely new flavors, to do the exact opposite of what logic is telling us to do because the gut sometimes has more pull..... I think that is the answer. And no it's not a simple one.

We need to shatter this, I feel it im myself, I feel it in other people I am in personal contact with, I feel it as a massive exodus in consciousness we are about to embark on- Operation Imagination Liberation. I'm ready.

Re: Let's Simplify Things: All Opinions Welcomed

Pure faith is an option, though few take it.

We live in a world that tipped the scales long ago into mental dominance. Most here are walking the path back to center, to the heart, from that far off intellectual/mental place. Necessarily, it involves informing the mind of the path back home, from all of its strongholds far afield. That informing flows in terms that minds understand. It's a worthy endeavor, reintegrating parts of The One that strayed so far. And all that those intellectual/mental aspects have explored, discovered and manifested on their very long journey are magnificent fruits for The All to enjoy for all eternity.

However I appreciate your frustration.

Re: Let's Simplify Things: All Opinions Welcomed

SamIAm, you are seeking a simple solution, but I think that what many of us have found here is that nothing is so simple, especially with such vast issues as the nature of consciousness, the state of the world, what actions to take to create a better tomorrow. If it were as simple as some of the New Age dogmas out there would have you believe, for example everyone should just meditate on forming a merkaba around their body and then use it to ascend to higher densities or even just "think positive!", I think we would have more experiential reports along the lines of "this worked for me! Try it!" to which others would respond "it worked for me too!"

I never see this. I see people who repeat word-for-word dogmatic ideas they have picked up from books. There are plenty of people here in Mt. Shasta who fully believe that it is destined to become a physically manifested 5D City Of Light come the Ascension, and they believe it JUST BECAUSE AMORAH QUAN-YIN wrote about it convincingly. There are plenty of books out there that purport to have the truth nailed down in a simple to understand way, but after you start reading a bunch of books, you observe that unless you have multiple sources discovering and presenting the same information independently, it becomes increasingly more confusing to figure out "which book is correct?". I agree with Tom Paine in that sense, I think that is what he meant. You cannot just read one book or even just think about it on your own for like a year, and then "simplify" it into something you can embroider on a pillow. It is a LONG LONG process of reading and reading and reading and thinking and thinking.

I think it is important in our own individual lives to simplify, remove stresses, remove toxins from all aspects of ourselves, become less dependent and more self-sufficient. In a way, things do become simpler, but there is always the awareness that there is infinite knowledge out there and the world is vaster than we can begin to comprehend. 6 billion people in the world, so they say. There is nothing simple about that.

Have you found a simple explanation of life, the universe and everything? Please share it, we'll hear you out. smile

Re: Let's Simplify Things: All Opinions Welcomed

Oh... so this was a quiz- gee why didn't I see that right there in the title "all opinions welcomed"

So love eh? That's it? Nothing more to discuss then I s'pose. Damn I've wasted so much time.

Re: Let's Simplify Things: All Opinions Welcomed

Love is the basis of all you've received in answer to your question here.

Love knows fear intimately. It is only fear that does not know love.

Nothing can "fall out of" love. It can only think it has. Love knows better.

Re: Let's Simplify Things: All Opinions Welcomed

Yes, I should have known. LOVE.

Shall I just sit in my room and say the word LOVE over and over? Has this been working for you? Do you just love everything, and that makes everything perfect for you? In what sense is love the answer? What is the question? How does this apply to day-to-day living and the choices we make? Do I love my bills and rent and my boss until they no longer bother me, or will they somehow change into something positive, so that they begin reflecting love back to me? Do I love the oppressive control paradigms we are born into, and eventually they will stop taking my good intentions and using them against me? How do I apply LOVE to the 1 billion people who live in terrible poverty and starvation in this world?

That IS simple, nice one.
