2012       
There are striking parallels between a diversity of cultures relating to 2012 and there are many world views available to us.  Emissaries from manydifferent traditions will speak about the beliefs & prophesies of their culture.



Hopi  Predict a 25yr period of purification followed by End of Fourth World and beginning of the Fifth.
Mayans  Call it the ‘end days’ or the end of time as we know it.
Maoris Say that as the veils dissolve there will be a merging of the physical & spiritual worlds.
Zulu  Believe that the whole world will be turned upside down.
Hindus  Kali Yuga (end time of man). The Coming of Kalki & critical mass of Enlightened Ones.
Incas  Call it the ‘Age of Meeting Ourselves Again’.
Aztec  Call this the Time of the Sixth Sun.   A time of transformation.   Creation of new race.
Dogon  Say that the spaceship of the visitors, the Nommo, will return in the form of a blue star
Pueblo  Acknowledge it’ll be the emergence into the Fifth World
Cherokee Their ancient calendar ends exactly at 2012 as does the Mayan calendar.
Tibetan Kalachakra teachings are prophesies left by Buddha predicting Coming of the Golden Age.
Egypt  According to the Great Pyramid (stone calendar), present time cycle ends in year 2012 AD



What do you believe will happen in 2012...if anything?....or 2010 or 2013?
Will the morning of winter solstice 2012 appear like any other morning....

That reminded me of the movie The Evil Dead 2, part of the ritual to dispell the demon, was to bind it to flesh, and then cast it into the vortex after it was bound to a body.

Ahh, Bruce Campbell.  This trilogy is definitely one of the ridiculously small club of movies with sequels superior to the original (Army of Darkness takes the cake).

I'm actually writing on a dream I received just last night that had to do with purification. I haven't been reading much Hopi-stuff lately, so I don't know if it's related...but I feel they have a pretty good interpretation as to what's going on, and what could happen.

Zulu  Believe that the whole world will be turned upside down.

The Earth's magnetic field has been predicted to entirely reverse sometime soon, causing compasses to point south and all. Virtually the "world turning upside down." I've thought of this as a possibility of 2012, but it doesn't seem quite right to me.

what will happen in 2012? well, with a bit of mix and match from free*world, we get something like....

the begining of a 25 year purification at the end of which the end of the fourth world with take place.....in the 'Day Be With Us' (as Alice calles it)  or 'Don't miss the Boat Day' as we might call it. 

As the veils dissolve there will be a merging of the physical & spiritual worlds, where everything will be turned upside down. The Coming of Kalki the saviour where critical mass of the Enlightened Ones will make all the difference , sealing Global Awareness into a telepathic communion...Oneness.....
The ‘Age of Meeting Ourselves Again’, A moment of quantum awakening. A nanosecond stretched into infinity and non-time, during which we will all experience full consciousness of who we are and why we have incarnated. A moment so strong, powerfull, frightening, familiar, yet unknown to us....that, standing on the edge, alone.....it will be difficult to choose, to trust and to jump into the unknown to unite with the Infinite One.

kamala, the end of your post sounds a lot like a Big Crunch (a backwards Big Bang, where everything is sucked into a single point).

This page also cites a video game called Marathon with similar concepts as you posted:

if one leaves the universe as it is being "crunched", that person would reach a form of godhood–either by existing in a reality without the limits imposed by the universe itself, or by being the first sentient creature in a new universe (following another Big Bang).
