Topic: Puppy Bowl III

For those of you who have television sets, did you watch Animal Planet's Puppy Bowl III?  It's a 3-hour show that just puts cute puppies in a pen that looks like a miniature football stadium, and they just... play.  That's all they do.  There's also a "bowl cam," that shows puppies drinking and playing in the water bowl, and they break in every now and then with instant replays, time outs (for picking up messes, etc). 

There's also a "Kitty Half-Time Show" that features kittens playing on a large scratching post type stage with disco lighting and tinsel. 

I think Jackson http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/Gliderific/Jackson.jpgshould be named MVP (Most Valuable Puppy), but so far other viewers don't agree.

I know it's a silly little show, but I'm such an animal lover.. and it's so cute!

Me too!  From what I understand, Animal Planet just didn't want to bother putting on anything against the Super Bowl the first year, but had surprising ratings.  Now it's the only show that rivals the SB.   

Did you know that all those puppies playing are shelter dogs?

It is a cute "feel good" program, and there were lots of people who chose Puppy Bowl over Super Bowl.  The word is getting around.  big_smile
